Shruti was amazing at helping me but also giving the best constructive criticism for my essays and common app profile

Tanner is kind, gifted and truly an expert in teaching Mathematics as well as SAT tutoring. He’s able to switch seamlessly between the Math and Reading/Writing portions of SAT so the student can customize lessons as needed. He also gives honest timely feedbacks after each session to both the student and parent with a clear path for next or upcoming sessions. With his calm demeanor and undeniable ability to bring order to the chaos of SAT prep, and his vast knowledge and patience, especially in Math, a subject of study that a lot of students might be running away from, he holds space for deep and thorough learning. He allows students be themselves without judgment so they can ask lots of questions. He pushes them when needed and cheers them on every step of the process. He won’t stop until he ensures they have understood each lesson before moving forward. After working with Tanner for twice a week in a 5 week span, my daughter’s SAT grade improved by almost 150 points. It has been a pleasure working with Tanner and we couldn’t recommend him more.

We had an excellent experience working with Collegewise, especially Ali Springer, my daughter’s college counselor, and Sakhi Patel, her SAT prep tutor. We were initially referred by a friend, and based on our experience, we are now recommending Collegewise to others.
One aspect we particularly appreciated was being offered a choice of counselors, allowing our daughter to select someone she felt comfortable with and trusted. As immigrants, we knew there were many nuances in the college admissions process that we were unfamiliar with, and with full-time jobs, we simply didn’t have the time to do extensive research on our own. Ali was absolutely wonderful in connecting with our daughter and guiding her through the process. She provided a clear framework for decision-making that balanced a “student at the wheel” approach and incorporated criteria from us, parents, and strong oversight. Her availability was also a critical factor for us — unlike other consultants we interviewed who had rigid schedules, Ali was flexible and accessible, which was essential given our daughter’s demanding school and sports commitments.
By taking the lead on the process, Ali saved us an enormous amount of time, stress, and potential conflict with our teenager. We are happy with the multiple out-of-state college acceptances our daughter received and fully plan to return to Collegewise when our second child begins this journey.

Todd Faubion was extremely supportive and helpful in helping me craft a compelling and stand out Statement of Purpose and supplemental essays for my graduate school applications for a Master of Public Health (MPH). His process took me through multiple drafts and really allowed me to write statements that were unique and highlighted my strengths, as well as contained all of the material that top programs are looking for. Thanks to Todd's support, I was accepted to all 6 programs that I applied to including Johns Hopkins University, Yale, Brown, and the University of Washington. As I prepare to make a final decision on where to pursue my graduate degree, I am so thankful to have had Todd help me along the way and push me to craft applications that demonstrated my passion and skills successfully to so many amazing programs. We worked with Paige at Collegewise. My son found her to be super supportive, responsive, and very helpful in his writing for all the supplements and essays that were required for his many, many applications. She helped him brainstorm and hone his topics for each school. Ultimately, he got into his top choice as an out of state student, and he firmly believes it may not have happened without Paige's help. From the parent perspective, we were totally hands off. Paige was great in keeping him on track and on time for everything. We can not recommend Paige at Collegewise enough.

Although the college application process can be extremely stressful and draining, my counselor Jordan Kanarek made the process feel much more manageable and organized. Doing a dozen applications on top of school work and a fall sport should've felt overwhelming and exhausting, but with the support and help I received, it was actually a positive and rewarding process. I was ultimately extremely pleased with the result of the process and with the colleges I was accepted to, which wouldn't have been possible without Jordan.

We connected with Liz Major (counselor at CollegeWise) during High School Senior Year. Liz was a Major (no pun intended!) player in our journey and helped us a lot during the whole process. From choosing which colleges to apply to, helping managing deadlines, essay writing - and all in between. I'm so happy we had her!

Ida helped me immensely through the college application process, organizing my timeline and narrowing down my college list to a doable workload. Because of this, I was able to navigate through college applications and school without overworking, and even finished applying early so I could go on winter vacation with my family. The Essay Lab team was also very constructive and helped me a lot with editing my essays.

My counselor, Ida was very good with helping brainstorm and outline my essays so that I could get a good start to my essays. However, some of my essays did not directly answer the prompts and I was not told by the editors, leading to me having to change the flow. Otherwise, it was a good experience and a lot of help to get you started, as well as guidance through the actual application process.

My experience with Collegewise (Ali Springer) was excellent. Before the process started, they matched my daughter with someone that would fit her personality. We needed someone that was kind, gentle, and not old-school. The match was perfect. Ali from day 1 made our daughter very comfortable and guided her through the process step by step. Ali helped with college selection, essay thoughts with some outline ideas and ensured all deliverables were clear. My favorite part of the process was the editing of essay(s) and helpful hints on how to make the message more powerful. As a parent, I essentially had to do very little. Ali was responsive to all of us and the end result is my daughter has lots of wonderful colleges to choose from. That defines success to me. Thank you Ali for guiding us through this painful process!

After suddenly becoming a single father, I was trying to keep my head above water as we began the college process. It was such a different landscape from when I went to school, and being busy with our new life, I knew I couldn't give the college application process the attention it needed. Luckily, we discovered Collegewise and Kaila. It was worth every penny. Kaila, my daughter's counselor, was perfect in guiding her through it all. I didn't have to worry about anything; all the application deadlines were met, and my daughter had someone to lean on as she figured out which direction she heads toward in college. Kaila was just absolutely amazing, and so is collegewise. You won't regret it.

Collegewise and their counselor, Annie, were an invaluable guide through the complicated college application process for both my children. Her professionalism and deep knowledge made an extremely stressful experience far more manageable, and her insight was invaluable. She consistently went above and beyond, especially during the most stressful and time-sensitive parts of the college application process. I would recommend their service to anyone. That said, I would stress that interviewing a few advisors first, as finding the right personality fit for your child is just as important.

Our experience with Collegewise has been excellent, and working with Aaron this past year with our son was truly a highlight of the process. Aaron’s communication is exceptional—he was consistently clear, responsive, and thoughtful with us as parents, while also connecting in a meaningful and encouraging way with our son.
Aaron has a real gift for working with students. He knows how to guide them without overwhelming them, and he communicates in a way that makes them feel supported, capable, and confident. Our son genuinely enjoyed working with him, which made a stressful process feel manageable and even positive. And as a result, our son has been extremely successful in his application process and has wonderful college options to choose from.
We are now working with Aaron again for our youngest daughter—our third child working with Collegewise!—and we are so excited to continue the journey with him.

We can’t say enough good things about Tanner. He’s been working with our son Eddie for years, and as a parent of a child on the autism spectrum, finding someone this patient and understanding means everything. Tanner truly connects with Eddie and makes learning feel comfortable and positive. Eddie always looks forward to their sessions, which says so much. We’re incredibly grateful to have Tanner as part of Eddie’s journey
