Excellent communication and support from the collecting cars team. Ethan provided me with excellent support during the selling process of my car. The photos by Jonny were brilliant which really helped sell the car giving buyers the confidence to purchase my classic ford using the collecting cars platform. This is the first time I used collecting cars and would use again and hope Ethan will be my consigner again.

I was dealt with by Andrew throughout the whole process. I was informed at every step of the way and constantly kept in the loop. The emails sent were informative and concise. Liason between myself and the 3rd party was easy and simple. I cannot fault Collecting Cars and would recommend them to everyone

A great experience all round, especially when compared to trying to sell a car myself. Collecting cars and Jarod arranged everything from photos to qualifying buyers who wanted to view/ arrange PPI’s. I was kept across the campaign the whole time, and felt informed. My car passed in at auction, and I was delighted to find that Jarod had immediately gone into negotiations with all buyers, and manage to arrange a deal that worked within a matter of hours. Very impressed, will definitely be listing the next car with them. Highly recommend, this is the future of selling cars.

Fantastic service

It was very easy to set up as a bidder. The detailed images of the vehicles cover every and anything.
The auction however was due to close at 15:35 at which point I was the highest bidder. Buds then continued to be placed all the way to 15:48, which cost me an additional AED20K on the purchase price.
If an auction is due to end at 15:35, that is when it should end.

Prompt response to questions, and available to talk too.

Very responsive and helpful when my bank decided to block my bid with 1 minute to go in the auction. Made it possible for me to get my bid in !!

I feel it’s important to warn anyone thinking about listing a vehicle with Collecting Cars to read the terms and conditions extremely carefully before agreeing to anything.

In my case, I decided to cancel the listing before the auction even went live. I assumed there would be some sort of cooling-off period or cancellation option, especially as the vehicle was never advertised publicly or sold through the platform.

However, I was still charged the full 6% seller fee — £3,200 — despite the listing never going live, and the company refused to refund it.
They emailed me the invoice and when I checked my bank the funds were taken!
They have your bank details when you fill out the auction forms!

To be fair, this is apparently covered in their terms and conditions, but the wording is buried within around 10 pages of small print which many people may not fully appreciate before signing up.

I’m not disputing that it may technically be in the contract, but I do think the cancellation charges should be made far clearer and more prominent upfront, especially when such large sums of money are involved.

Please make sure you fully understand the financial consequences before listing your vehicle.

Sold a number plate via Collecting Cars (not our first time using the site) . Whole process very well explained and curated by Hugh and Oliver. Buyer took a little while to pay but the team sorted that out too. All in all a 100% experience from these guys. Would certainly recommend no problem. Also achieved a great price!

Sam was an excellent help when selling my car.

The first auction didn’t sell, as reserve was not net, we discussed the best way forward and due to high interest, thought it was worth putting it up again and with a few tweaks, this time it sold.

Sam was really helpful in understanding the psychology of auctions and helping come up with tactics which worked.

I’ve bought from CC and now sold with them and they are good at what they do.

The USP is great. However, you need to be more precise with the marketing materials handed over to you. Mistakes were made with the video version and overall quality. Overall great cooperation, but it is in the final 1% where a difference can be made and the platform can be perfect.

the auction went trouble free along with payment and paperwork from seller, but getting the transport contacts has been a bit of a back N forth to know where to collect the vehicle and phone number
