Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience with Coinkite.

My BLOCKCLOCK has had recurring Wi-Fi issues from the beginning, which I already reported to support (request #504847). Despite following their troubleshooting steps, the Wi-Fi never worked reliably. Now the network does not appear at all, even when tested on completely different networks.

The device is not even two years old and was quite expensive. Yet Coinkite offers neither a replacement nor a repair solution — only 25% off the purchase of another BLOCKCLOCK.

After this experience, I simply don't have the confidence to spend more money on the same product. A partial refund to help repair the existing device would have been a fair solution.

My ColdCard Q had a Premature Hardware Failure: it stopped functioning after a very short period of time, despite being handled properly and stored in a safe, adequate environment.
CoinKite acknowledge the issue but only issue replacements not refunds.
How could I trust a company that just had historical critical firmware vulnerabilities ($100 million to $130 million worth of Bitcoin was stolen in the July/August 2026 hardware wallet exploit)?

I lost more than 4 Bitcoins because of these scammers. Stacking since 2017. Everything is now gone bacause of their pseudo random seeds. Avoid this company. Plase make it not exista enymore.

I ordered my Coldcard MK5 on April 17th, I only unboxed it in May but because of work never got around to setting it up. Thank god I never did. After last Friday's fiasco and all those poor people who had their wallets drained, I'd stay well away from Coldcard. Considering they knew about this bug in the code since 2022 and banned the Reddit user that brought it to light should tell you everything you need to know about Coinkite...

I've lost my bitcoins with Coinkite wallet :(

left a simple backdoor to their devices causing millions in lost funds. Sad to see that they cannot be trusted, and caused so much devastation for bitcoiners. No other way to describe this other than pure negligence.

I've used COLDCARD products for years and consistently recommend them to clients, friends, and Bitcoiners looking for strong self-custody tools.

Coinkite makes some of the most advanced and secure hardware wallets on the market. They have very bad customer support though.

Bought a kit with coldcard Q, Mk5 and some accessories. Impressed with the quality. I came to write a review because support really helped me to get out of a pickle when upgrading from Trezor.

Coinkite is absolutely 100% the best in the self-custody business - bar none. I own the Mk4, Q, and I've also purchased the sauna hat (which I've sported once already at a spa) and a t-shirt. Delivery is always exceptionally fast. What I especially appreciate is their customer privacy policy whereby they delete all unnecessary idenitfying information about their customers from their records after a certain amount of time; couldn't ask for more, given the world we live in where PII is constantly leaked from various other companies to be sold to the highest bidder, leading to the rise of wrench attacks worldwide. Coinkite is the best in the business.

Everything about buying from Coinkite.com has been a positive experience. I own four of their products which are all very high quality. Their website is up to date and accurate. Their shipping is fast and communications are helpful. Will be buying from them again.

They have the best products for bitcoiners by bitcoiners with excellent customer service and fast shipping. I’ve made a few orders through them and will continue to do so.

Horrible product. My BTC was stolen even though I dud 50 rolls as per there documentation. A HW which produces bad seeds . Extremely sad that the wallet produces seeds where your money gets stolen without the device being connected anywhere and then your funds are coinjoined.

There was a youtube video on this but it appears the problem has spread to more users than anticipated even with 50 rolls mixed into TRNG. No user should ever lose their funds for trying to identify how to use a hardware wallet.

Worse is when you email customer service to report the wierd behavior, they pretend like its not expected to happen and eventually stop responding to the complain. Users tried reporting the company on reddit and you blocked them instead of looking into the issue.

NVK is a theif.

I have a purchased and used a few different Coinkite products, specifically the Coldcard Q and Mk4. Love both of these wallets. Fairly straight forward and easy to use. Would recommend.

My wife bought me a Blockclock micro for Christmas. The order from Coinkite included $28.54 for FedEx shipping, which was paid at the time of purchase. On 2/3/26, I received an *additional* $51.25 FedEx invoice for "customs fees".

When I reported this to Coinkite, they said, "Unfortunately, customs fees are determined by local authorities and are beyond our control. These charges are paid directly to the courier and are the responsibility of the importer".

They also directed me to a checkbox on the order page that says the purchaser is responsible for "customs duties, import fees, local taxes and other fees" where applicable.

Be sure to budget for more fees than you expect. If I had known my $179 item included an extra, undisclosed $51.25 in customs fees, I wouldn't have gone through with the purchase. Don't let this happen to you.

Purchased the Coldcard. I'm in the U.S.. Coinkite should make it known to US customers that they will get hit with a 35% duty charge from Fedex after receiving the item. Would't have purchased it knowing that.

I spent $1500, paid for express shipping, and after 12 days of constant follow-up the order still hasn’t even been posted. The whole process has been nothing but stress and wasted time. I won’t be using the Coldcard Q devices even if they do arrive, I’ve lost all trust in this company. Putting my bitcoin on their hardware would be insane.

Ignore the positive YouTube reviews, they’re paid promotions. If you want a reliable hardware wallet, look elsewhere.

I ordered a Tapsigner a week ago and paid for the fastest shipping option. A few days later, it still shows as pending. I emailed them — no reply. Hugo (from Nunchuk) kindly emailed them on my behalf, and then I received a reply basically saying to wait a week for them to process the order.

Why?

What's the point of paying $53 express shipping if they sit on the order for a week... oh, and it's not a week - it's 7 business days!

It all feels like a one-man band operation, running out of somebody's spare bedroom.

If I owned Coinkite, I would be trying to repair my reputation by engaging with all these people angry enough to leave 1-star reviews... and I don't know, stop being so casual with a trust critical product.
