Cognito has been absolutely fantastic for my son. He was struggling with his grades for all three science subjects. His learning has been transformed and he's now doing really well. Such a great sit... See more

Informative and educational website which has helped me get through my exams - last year I had a rubbish teacher who taught me nothing but thanks to cognito I got 100% on my test. My go to revision material for sciences.

Their videos and quizzes are really helpful. The videos give you information and the questions really lock it in. Cognito has really helped me for my exam and i use it everyday!

Cognito has been a great tool i have used to help me study for my GCSE's. It has many useful features that have helped me to track my progression and helped me more thoroughly learn the content of my subjects. The only improvement / additional feature i would like to see is an option to reset progress in the video learning section as it would help for tracking study for mocks compared to the real exam. I am planning on using cognito for my A-levels, i have found it really useful so far, i would definitely recommend.

I got cognito + and it has honestly been the best choice! Coming into paper 2 with only half term to revise with little prior knowledge, I was unsurprisingly a little bit stressed. However, I made the leap and bought cognito + for only £9.99 and it has helped me SO much! The videos are great, the follow up questions are so helpful and the access to flashcards and exam-style questions reassure me that I am learning everything I need to know.
The TWO downsides for me are that you can't reset your progress, if you have watched all the videos a long time ago, there is no way to set it all white again and start from fresh. Secondly, there are some lessons that don't have videos and just text descriptions – only very few don't have videos but it is a game changer! All in all, 10/10 would recommend to anybody.

Excellent bite-sized video explanations (some gaps in video coverage, but there are written explanations instead) and questions to check the concepts are clear. I use Cognito with my one-to-one pupils, and encourage them to use it independently outside lessons. I like the way I can select the syllabus based on age, exam board and higher / foundation.

It is nice colourful and is easy to navigate. Love the test and helpful videos.

Cognito is extremely useful. So far, it has helped me achieve much better in my subjects than I have ever done before - it has quizzes which allow for quick recall and cover just about any question that could come your way. It also has flashcards and digitalised past papers and regular ones.
I've had a paid account for around 3 months (after some planning...) and didn't notice, but a lot of people are saying more things are becoming paywalled in the website.
I can't say, as everything is still just a one-payment of a subcription for about £9.99 per month. It's costly, but I think it's a very useful resource, and it is definitely helpful for understanding concepts, knowing what to write and actually ENJOYING the subjects.

Really useful and helpful. I do foundation combined science and Cognito helped my grade go from a 3 to a 5.

This website is absolutely brilliant and is the starting point of every science revision session I do. I love how the video breaks down everything I need to know in an interesting way and the mini quiz after allows me to lock in the base knowledge. After that I would answer the exam style questions to test and apply my knowledge which is so helpful for preparing for the actual exam skills! I went from a 5 to a 6 then 7 (or 7-7 in combined science) by November mocks, despite having no physics teacher EVER and a science teacher in general for only a year. I did miss a ton of learning at school but I caught up with every topic from the summer holidays onward. I am sure it will be even better when I see my grades on results day! And yes, the premium subscription is super worth it, especially seeing how the majority of the website is already free, so why not support the creators for the hard work they've done for us!

An absolutely amazing website for revision. I’ve been using it for years and it allowed me to get 9s (A**s) in quite a few of my science GCSE mocks. It’s incredibly intuitive and really allows you to understand the content. With the video lessons, you can easily watch them and then be given specific questions on the content you just learned. It’s a brilliant resource and I’d recommend it to anyone. On the other hand, it’s recently gotten ridiculous regarding the price of using the website. Unless you pay money, it’s entirely unusable. It’s not affordable for people and it’s put a lot of the people I know off of using it for revision. Personally, I’ve had to turn to paying for Pro on Cognito for the next month or two during exam season and the cost is ridiculous. It’s a fantastic website, but I believe it should be much more accessible and should at least make the video lessons free to use for those who can’t afford to pay to revise.

Best revision website for science, everything is neatly and clearly ordered and there are so many styles of questions that you get the best opportunity to practise.

the sciences it covers is really good but (im so desperate) can GCSE astronomy be added?

Formatted very well, makes sciences' less intimidating to revise. Extremely helpful with breaking down topics to help understanding. I would recommend to everyone studying at a GCSE level.

I think this app is amazing at helping me to study - the layout and videos/questions are exactly what makes things stick in my brain while revising
BUT
I think its scummy to limit the free version of the app a week before GCSE exams, forcing people like me to buy the pro version. Many people can't afford to do this and you are taking advantage of the people who can - it's selfish and to be honest kinda disgusting.
Your website is incredible and I find it difficult to revise any other way. I know that there are others that feel the same and so by limiting our access you are directly affecting our results, something that an educator like yourself would be dismayed by. If your company truly needs the money, monetize the videos, or place adverts within the website but don't block such an amazing tool to so many young people.

As someone who is bad at science and has ADHD, I find that the concepts are explained in a way that I can understand. The videos are really good for revising when I don’t have much motivation because it is low effort and I can answer the questions as I ease into the flow of revising.
