I am a local resident, yet I go to Starbucks or other cafés instead. The location may be prime, but the service is below par. In summer, the wait for coffee is around 30 minutes – they even write it on the board to indicate what to expect. I ordered a cappuccino and got an extremely overpriced, lukewarm latte. Highly NOT recommended.

Visited the Porthcawl venue today… dirty tables, tasteless coffee just milk and food and coffee served in cardboard… very poor experience and value for money….wont be going back

I ordered 2 coffees and banana cake. Not sure if there were any bananas in the cake it was tasteless and dry. Wait time was 15 to 20 minutes no human contact. Once you have paid at machine they can take as long as they like they have your money,

I booked a chocolate making session as a surprise for my wife this bank holiday weekend, but arrived to find there had been an issue with my booking.
The attending manager was responsive and extremely helpful, inviting us to sit and have a drink whilst he tried to resolve the situation. I felt that this resolution was as important to him as to us, and at no point felt like I was being disregarded.
The gentleman returned very promptly and explained the situation, whilst offering to compensate us for our disappointment, rescuing an afternoon for my wife, which she had been anticipating with some excitement. He then returned regularly to make sure we had a great experience.
This behaviour - in my experience - is rare and thoughtful and exceptional, having experienced similar situations where I have been dismissed or treated like it is my own fault.
I neglected to get the name of the gentleman and, I am sorry I cannot recommend him by name. But, staff of this calibre are hard to come by and should be held onto at any cost.
Thank you for your hospitality, Coffi Co, and I will be singing your praises to anyone who will listen and, indeed, will be returning with friends sometime soon.

Would rate 0 if I could! Don’t bother with this place, I live locally and usually visit this place in penarth. This weekend to my disbelief I was asked to leave as they wanted the tables for people eating lunch!!! 😡 it’s a coffee shop not a restaurant and as a regular customer who lives locally I felt offended. I had my family visiting and we were 7 in total ?? The staff member came to our table and asked if we were eating, we said we would probably just have a drink. He then told us to get going as the tables were only for food orders. I can’t tell you how embarrassing it was to then get up and leave as everyone watched. It’s an awful thing to do and in my belief a pretty stupid one too. The staff member that assigned us a table never asked us if we were eating or drinking initially??
Next to us was a couple eating cake and a coffee probably spending much less than we would have buying 7 coffees. It’s ok to treat your customers like dirt when you are full of customers and tourists during the summer but wait until the winter months and you’ll be begging local people to visit. It’s a disgusting way to do business and I wish you good luck with that awful attitude.
Your staff member also was rude and his approach was very dismissive and in my opinion he should have realised we would have spend plenty as our table had full to capacity. You had the same size tables with two people eating a sandwich and a juice. 🤣 clearly not very bright
I will be telling all my friends and local family not to bother with your company as you have no respect for your customers.

Helpful when collecting cakes, staff friendly BUT the cakes - bakewell, Rocky road, toffee and the Blondie were horrible. They were far too sickly and powdery dry in texture which was tasteless and difficult to eat. Avoid at all costs - incredibly disappointed.

Pre-ordered on their app back in August last year. Pre-order was accepted and payment was taken. Arrived there to find it in complete darkness and locked up. After a brief interaction I was told it would be looked into.

It's now March 2020, and I had a notification that they had refunded my account balance back to my bank account, but no sign of the money they owe me. Guess they forgot.

Need to work on their app to prevent this from happening. At least their rival companies won't accept orders if the selected store is closed.
