This was a great opportunity to gain real-world experience working directly with stakeholders and solving problems within their industry.

The beginning was challenging due to team realignments, shifting responsibilities, and onboarding to the project, but Elijah Jimenez did an excellent job keeping everything organized, keeping teams on track, and giving us the opportunity to build real production-style applications.

The residency helped strengthen my skills in full-stack development, collaboration, and working in agile environments while exposing me to the communication and problem-solving expected in professional software engineering roles. Thank you for the opportunity and support throughout the experience.

During my tech residency at Coding Temple, I gained invaluable hands-on experience. I networked, learned new frameworks and languages, and worked in a well structured program. The challenges helped each of us grow as engineers, especially as we engaged with stakeholders and built a complete application.

I’m proud to have been part of it. Our project manager, Elijah Jimenez, was a fantastic leader, always stepping in to help resolve issues and keep us on track. The support we had made it a truly rewarding experience. I highly recommend this residency to anyone aspiring to become a software engineer. In just 60 days, we collaborated, problem-solved, and delivered something amazing. Five stars!

My time with Coding Temple has been great. I've learned lots of valuable information since starting this new journey. I was new to tech when I came in, and now that I've completed it in 6 months, I feel confident that I stand out in the real world if given the opportunity. One thing I love about time there is that there's always help for when you need it. My SSM, Pascal Ejiofor, and Ryan have really been helpful throughout this journey. I would recommend Coding Temple to anyone with any background, looking to learn.

I truly enjoyed the Coding Temple Software Engineering Bootcamp. The structure of the program gave me confidence and reassurance that I could succeed. Stepping into a new field can be daunting, but the curriculum was thoughtfully designed and delivered one step at a time, making the learning process feel approachable and manageable. After completing the lessons, modules, and hands-on projects, I feel confident in my ability to pursue a career as a software engineer. They really thought of every aspect and I appreciated how they updated the course as things are always evolving. Jessica Sosa, Katelyn Mehner, Juan Medina, Nicolas Gutierrez, Allen Ahmed and others have been tremendous help!

Coding Temple is a complete mess, and my experience makes it very clear that this organization prioritizes revenue over students.
The turnover is staggering. Instructors, career coaches, and support staff cycle in and out constantly, destroying any sense of stability or continuity. “Live classes” are advertised, then quietly removed, leaving students with far less instruction than what was promised at enrollment.
There is also clear pressure to write positive reviews early—before students even reach the job search phase—when the real problems haven’t surfaced yet. That tactic alone speaks volumes about how the company manages its public image.
Career support has deteriorated significantly. The coaches who actually had relevant, real-world experience are gone, and what remains is outdated and disconnected from today’s tech market. Promised employer partnerships never materialize in any transparent or meaningful way.
Once tuition is paid, communication drops off sharply. Questions and issues often go unanswered, and students are left to figure things out on their own. This feels less like an educational program and more like a churn-based business model.
Coding Temple appears to be in serious decline, possibly preparing to pivot to another market, while students are left with the consequences and thousands of dollars in sunk costs. I would strongly advise anyone considering this bootcamp to look elsewhere. This was a costly mistake.

My experience with Coding Temple was very positive and well-structured. The curriculum is challenging and practical, with real-world projects and helpful career workshops.

The instructors and support staff were always responsive and encouraging. I especially want to thank Jessica Sosa for her clear communication and ongoing support throughout the program. The entire team made the learning process smooth and motivating.

I’m currently in the job search phase, and the program has given me strong technical foundations and confidence moving forward.

I appreciate the structured learning that Coding Temple provides. The hands-on lab exercises helped remove my fear of the perceived complexity of technology and networking, and they increased my confidence as I learned by doing. Pascal Ejiofor has been responsive in answering questions, and his approach during the workshops is encouraging and supportive.

My time at Coding Temple has been a amazing experiecience. From the course to Tech residency, staff/instructors always there to help if you need extra help understanding a concept/lesson. Staff like Ellijah, Ruta, Cory, Jessica and others have been the best mentors in my experience. One thing I would recommend tech residency to change is to add more project with AI integration

I started on Feb. 3rd 2025, so much has changed since then, largely for the better. I give the Software Engineering program 3 stars, and the rating above is for the employees. Even in circumstances where there was a communication error, everyone has been very kind and supportive throughout the program.

These are the people I had direct and semi-regular communication with. There are several other wonderful staff members.

Many critiques have already been addressed with an overhaul of several lessons, removal of one in particular, and an open study zoom meeting for students to gather when staff is unavailable (currently just Saturdays).

Coding Temple and App Academy are now in cahoots.
App Academy has several many resources, and those resources should be integrated into Coding Temple.

The tech residency I participated in was not with a company, which was not as advertised. However, the benefits of working and learning with other developers in an Agile format, towards a common goal, and with to tools of the industry is invaluable.

One of the standout individuals who made my experience at Coding Temple truly exceptional was Pascal. He consistently went above and beyond to support me, always ready to lend a hand and guide me through every challenge I encountered during the course. My time at CT and the Tech Residency was an amazing experience. Elijah, Ruta, and the other great staff members were incredibly hands-on with teacher and instructing. My only suggestion would be to create new tracks that may eventually pop up in the tech-residency program, such as, mobile app development.

This is my review of Coding Temple and Tech Residency: Before starting my coding journey at Coding Temple, I didn’t know how to write code. I had some familiarity with programming concepts, but no practical experience or portfolio. After graduating, I gained confidence in writing code in Python, Java, JavaScript, and React. I also learned how to use essential tools such as Git, GitHub, VS Code, IntelliJ IDEA, Docker, and Android Studio.
During the Tech Residency 40 program, backend, frontend, data, and cybersecurity students collaborated on a shared project. Elijah Jimenez served as our Product and Project Manager, and I truly appreciated his guidance. He listened to everyone’s perspective and advocated for us by ensuring stakeholders understood our needs and learning goals.
Elijah also made the final phase of our Coding Temple journey smoother by encouraging us to use the project tracker through Slack. The tracker helped us stay organized by allowing each team member to add tasks, descriptions, and time estimates, which significantly improved our workflow.
Overall, the combination of Coding Temple and the Tech Residency program was an amazing experience. I now feel confident pursuing freelancing opportunities, building my own projects, and searching for a full-time role.

Coding Temple was great I learned a lot especially in Tech Residency Ellijah Jimenez really made sure we knew the process and what to do.

Yeah, the company has a really well-structured program which allows you to learn. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Python, and then the front end and back end so you can create a working website.

Essentially, they teach you the concept. They have a video of the concept. You apply the concept. And then at the end you do a project to show that you know everything for each language.

Each section does take about a month to finish. Some things they aren't that hard, and some things are hard, but the back-end specialization or the front end, those do take a lot more time than the others.

As I finished my final assignment, I took a moment to look back on my journey from 6/16 to 11/21. What an incredible experience it has been learning software engineering with Dylan Katina.

Dylan is an exceptional instructor. He has the rare ability to make even the most technical and “boring” parts of computer languages engaging and fun. His explanations are always clear, thoughtful, and easy to follow. After many years away from programming, he helped me fall in love with coding again — and he continuously shared his passion for programming in every lesson.

His Zoom recordings and well-designed curriculum allowed me to master multiple languages, tools, and libraries in a very short time. More importantly, he consistently reminded us what it means to be a good software engineer: keep curious, set a goal, build things step by step, test small changes, commit often, and focus on clean, maintainable work.

All of these reflect not only his strong teaching abilities but also his responsibility, care, and dedication to his students. His lessons are always well-planned and delivered with patience, enthusiasm, and genuine passion.

I would strongly recommend his course to anyone who wants to learn software engineering.

I haven’t yet experienced many of the other benefits that Coding Temple offers, but I can see there are abundant opportunities to sharpen our skills and prepare for a competitive job market. I’m looking forward to exploring those resources.

Enrolling in Coding Temple was one of the most impactful decisions I’ve made. The curriculum provided a solidification of the foundational material that I was searching for while also encouraging continuous improvement and exploration. I saw real transformation in my skills and confidence as a developer.

A major part of that growth came from my instructor, Dylan Katina. He is not only an excellent teacher but also a genuine, high-caliber mentor who truly invests in his students. Dylan took the time to explain concepts in multiple ways, guided us through challenges with patience and insight, and fostered a supportive space that helped all of us push ourselves further. His expertise in backend engineering and his dedication to creating a collaborative, encouraging community with my peers made a significant difference in my learning experience.

Thanks to his mentorship and the structure of the program, I felt prepared and confident when tackling my final Capstone project. Seeing my own progress has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to use these skills in my future work.

The software engineering instruction has been excellent. I’m giving it a 4 only because the main reason I enrolled was the “guaranteed job placement,” and I haven’t yet reached that stage of the program to evaluate it.

Coding Temple was the first place I felt treated like a real engineer in training, not a customer passing through. The pace was fast, the expectations were high, and the support was real. Our instructor, Dylan, was the anchor — patient, straight-shooting, and genuinely invested in every student. He knew when to push, when to slow down, and when to tell you the thing you needed to hear, not the thing you wanted to hear.

My cohort was the difference-maker. A class full of people who actually showed up, helped each other, and held each other accountable. That atmosphere made the grind feel doable.

If you want hand-holding, look elsewhere. If you want to be challenged, learn modern tools, ship real projects, and walk out ready for interviews — this place delivers.

Coding Temple was a wonderful place to learn how to developed a website from start to finish. you learn front end programs and backend development. Dylan Katina was a great teacher, very engaging and knowledgeful about his craft. He took his time when people had questions and explained as much as he could without trying to overwhelm you.
