Quoted $150. But then ended up wanting almost $700 after the initial quote to complete the job. Seems scammy. Unsure if I will get my money back. No service was ever preformed except for them taking my money.
The demo load works fine. But when you do the paid, it won't migrate anything. Worse, they won't respond to address the issue
I would leave no stars if possible - Buyer beware if you are migrating a Sitefinity website. I operate a web design agency and use Lit Extension for all of my complex migration needs, however they only focus on eCom. This time I had a specific migration need for a CMS called Sitefinity and CMS2CMS claims they can handle migrating all content from Sitefinity.
I ran the demo to test it and it showed me a home page so I didn't think anything of it. Most demos I am used to only showing a "sample" of the migration so I proceeded to purchase the migration at a cost of $117.88 usd which converts to just over $200 cad.
Well, the migration completed and imported to wordpress but there was only a home page. Nothing else. No images, no links, and only half of the full home page content. So, I tried again thinking maybe I did something wrong but got the same result (this time I did not purchase the full migration of a single page - still no images, links or complete page).
I tried using a different url of the website to further test to see if I could get it working since I really needed this migration and by using something other than the home page I was able to get more pages, but still not the entire website (it's a 100 page website) and the price was now over $500 cad which was ridiculous.
I notified customer service about my initial experience and how I had been charged $200 for a single broken page with no images, links and half of the page content missing and they didn't seem to care.
I received 5 marketing emails a day, but they couldn't be bothered to deal with my concerns. They said that someone responded to my tickets, but I don't have a ticket and there is no support portal for tickets on their website.
10 days ago they said they were reviewing my migration. Seriously? Ten days to review a single broken page that cost me $200?
Their initial reply stated: "As stated in our terms and conditions, a refund is only given if the issue was caused by an error on our system and we are unable to resolve it.
I am pretty sure that my experience was a result of an issue caused by an error in the system and I don't need it resolved because it simply doesn't work and I don't have time to wait.
Not impressed with their product or customer service and will never use them again and no I do not recommend them.
There are three standard ways of managing changing a page over a website page to wordpress: convert website to wordpress theme point subject truly chosen for your static HTML webpage. Additionally, WordPress is free, open source, and goes with different pre-assembled web approaches and increases.
I needed a service that could migrate over 500 blog posts from Wix to Wordpress. Initially I was having difficulty and someone assisted me which was wonderful, but when I realized that not a single image had migrated with the blog posts (they only went to the gallery folder and in no particular order, either) I reached out again to get some assistance. They promised to help and then radio silence for two weeks while my subscription ran out. I emailed them quite a few times trying to find out when or even if they would be able to help with this issue and I was simply ignored. I feel like I overpaid for a service that was very much underdelivered on. The only reason they aren't getting a one-star review is because they did get all the text transferred over.
I expected it would take just a few hours to get the blog posts migrated but it took weeks. The main problem was that CMS2CMS couldn't generate a complete sitemap so it was only able to migrate 17 blog posts out of 250. I eventually was able to hack together a workaround but even then the tool was unable to import the publication dates so I'll need to add those manually.
I moved a website with over 1000 articles and pages from Jimdo to Wordpress and all went well. Obviously it's an automated system and after that there will be something to fix, but I think it's a great price for the work it does ...
They were a pleasure to work with, especially after the terrible experience we had with wordherd. They were always responsive, either by phone or by chat. They maintained the lines of communication faithfully via email as well. There were occasional hiccups given the time differential between Toronto and Ternopil in Ukraine, but we never felt that they were dropping the ball.
They will help you install the migration bridge if you need it, but in truth it's better if you figure it out yourself. The insight you'll get into FTP, SFTP, and back-end file structures and directories will be well worth it.
Our project involved moving blog content from one platform to another; it got bogged down over images and taxonomies. Getting it unjammed took a few weeks -- in truth, longer than we would have liked -- but they worked diligently with us to sort things out. At the end of the day, we decided to take what we could get and complete the job manually. The upside, however, is that with the next pile of content, they applied the lessons they'd learned from our blog migration marathon and delivered the material in the format we needed -- in perhaps two days.
I would recommend CMS2CMS wholeheartedly.
Excellent customer service and the process is extremely easy! I'm an experienced developer and have migrated hundreds of sites, mostly manually. They made migrating from Wix to Wordpress extremely easy and saved us a ton of time, and by extension, money. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone and we'll be using it again in the future. Tania was very helpful in finalizing out migration issues.
The best service very well in what they do and easy to need program
I moved 3356 pages from Joomla! to WordPress for cost close to nothing! It saves so much time compared to doing it yourself.
This tool also gives an opportunity to keep ranking and visitors on your website after the migration with the help of 301 redirects.
