Ordered July 6th... it's now December 19th

I ordered at the start of July, it's now December and I have yet to receive my order or be refunded. As a consumer, I have trusted this brand, and accepted my order was delayed but having looked again today their TikTok and site have been taken down/removed. This was not communicated to me and now no one is replying to my emails.

Reading the other reviews, it seems that a few ex employees are owed money from missed wages and the company has been dissolved due to the owners debts.

I hope that the owner refunds but I won't hold my breathe. Shame on you for giving sustainable small businesses a bad name.

If it’s not a scam it’s just a sham

Absolute sham of a company regardless of the pitiful apologies- take a break from selling and fulfil your back log, if the products even exist.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I used to work for Laura (it was a 6 month working scheme only). Long story short, her communication with me was very poor, she told me to take over customer service emails and completely neglected the other roles the job included (I felt very drained), she didn’t pay me the same amount each month, and she cut my contract a month earlier. I highly sympathised with the customers who got their clothes super late or not at all! i was more shocked to find out their instagram and TikTok no longer exists I'm extremely disappointed with them!

Long delivery times and order randomly cancelled

Honestly not a great experience. I ordered 2 items months ago as part of their Levi Jeans sale. After like 3 months, I emailed asking about my order and received an automated response. I then emailed again and then went back and forth with customer service until they informed me that I would get my order hopefully in January 2023 (over 6 months since I ordered).

While this was disappointing I decided to stick with it and was okay with waiting till January for my jeans. Come a few weeks later, I find out through an automated email again that they had cancelled my order completely.

It's either that their business model is unsustainable or they need to stop receiving orders until they are able to send out past orders. Was super understanding even when they said they would send my order out 6 months later, but was really unhappy that after all of that back and forth through email they just cancelled my order randomly with no email beforehand. Poor customer service on that front unfortunately.

Really wanted to support this small business but unfortunately was unable to due to their poor practice.

I don't really know what to say! Disappointed...

I don't really know what to say! I was so excited about this company loved the idea and ordered a box with a blazer and jeans and a t-shirt! As I said I was so excited because I loved the concept and the clothes looked cool. I ordered in July right at the end and didn't get order confirmation, nor the emails that everyone said they got about the delays. But I didn't mind waiting, I emailed a few times (7) at the end of August for an update and got nothing back but the generic email then at the end of October a lovely person (Maxine) emailed after I asked for an update and said I could get a refund. I really didn't want that cause I was excited about the clothes so said I could wait and was told I would be put on the priority list, which was cool. Then at the beginning of November only a few days after the emails from Maxine, I got an email saying my order was cancelled and I would get a refund, I tried to email but it didn't go through which made me think they blocked me. I don't know why I wasn't rude, and I was happy to wait. Because of this, I would not use this company again, I feel really let down, they could have communicated with me and if my sizes weren't in I would have been happy to have something else cause I was excited about the concept of the store and was holding off ordering more so they had time to catch up. It is just very disappointing! I am sorry to say I don't recommend them.

Doesn’t pay her staff!

Laura Griffiths didn’t pay any of her staff, leaving them unable to pay rent and feed their children and she is not someone to trust in business. Please do not work with her new business Thrift N Thrive Mentoring, as she is a scam artist. Please report @thriftnthrivementoring on Instagram and TikTok.

I ordered in June and now in November…

I ordered in June and now in November my order has been cancelled.
I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt as a small business just starting out but waiting 4 months for my order just to be cancelled with hardly any communication. They did send out blanket emails asking for people not to out bad reviews up but you have to earn good reviews with good customer service!

Didn’t receive my order

Ordered from them in August and on their website it allowed me to select my size and place the order. After months and multiple emails to them I only received my refund in November. Very disappointed with the customer service and if items aren’t in stock they shouldn’t be listed on their website.

Clothes before Bros rock!

Clothes before Bros is an independent small business who have done their very best with their orders, despite encountering some ongoing issues that would cause even much larger businesses to struggle the same way. What I do appreciate is that they kept me informed every step of the way, and even double checked in personally to ensure my sizing requirements remained the same and worked to cater a personalised customer service experience. I am vaguely aware that not everyone has been so understanding and this is disheartening particularly in light of the copious efforts of the team to do the very best damage control possible which is really where the best customer service prevails. It's not what goes wrong, it's how these things are dealt with. I am extremely happy with my experience overall with the company despite their unfortunate stock delays.

Ex CBB employee!

Looking at these comments, I’m assuming that Laura has told me yet another lie. Laura owes me in the region of £1500 for a months work. She has told me that she could not pay me because she has had to liquidate the business and had taken out a loan to pay for our wages. She also told us that she had refunded every customer and is now £50,000 in debt but the website is still open?

Enough of the lies now, Laura. Do the right thing - Maxine.

Absolute scam of a company

Absolute scam of a company, purchased in may to be told they were short staffed and short of stock. I was patient and was happy to wait. Emailed the company a few weeks later and never got any response to my emails, did a charge back with my bank in the end. After I did this I got an email saying sorry my emails had gone to spam and that they saw I had done a charge back. Today get an email from my bank saying the company are disputing my charge back. Tried to email customer service only to find out email address no longer work, typical! They take your money, DO NOT give you the goods then lie to keep your money. I will be taking this further with the bank!

Placed an order back in July

Placed an order back in July, emailed multiple times in regards to my order. No response and now my order has been cancelled. Due to this experience I am very reluctant to trust smaller independent companies.

Order cancelled after months

Order cancelled, with no explanation other than unforeseen circumstances. Ordered in august and was excited to receive my jeans mystery box and support a small business. I received emails saying there was a delay which was expected so I was patient,didn’t send any emails or anything asking when order would arrive as didn’t want to add to the work, and happy to wait as looking forward to receiving my order however my order was cancelled a couple days ago with no explanation or warning, absolutely gutted, had the jeans arrived I’d of probably ordered more boxes from the website as I like the concept however will not be ordering from website again. It would of been better if they had emailed and offered some kind of other product replacement if didn’t have stock to send order or at least give an apology!

Cannot trust this is a good company…

Ordered in May and had to email several times asking where the order was. Appreciated this was a new, small, self made company, suddenly gone viral with what was portrayed to be, struggling with high demand however, email replies, from several different people, contained excuse after excuse (or rant from the owner) Then… September I am told they have my order & I should receive a ‘shipped’ email soon but instead I got a cancellation of order due to unforeseen circumstances and promise of a refund (yet to be seen) out of nowhere this week. Now any emails I send are returned with a failure notice. Such a shame, I truly believed in this company & would have spent a lot of money supporting them by purchasing Christmas gifts for family & friends. I’ll give it 10 days for the refund to show if not I’ll be contacting the fraud team at the bank.

Really disappointed

Really disappointed. I placed my order at the beginning of September and it has been cancelled with no explanation. Some communication would have been nice. I was really keen to support this business as I think they have a great mission. Just extremely poorly run! The waiting time for the order wasn't the issue at all it was the poor/lack of communication

DISGUSTING BUSINESS!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
ordered the vintage Levi’s mystery box in May and, when i still hasn’t received the parcel in July, i sent out an email. They told me they were extremely busy which i didn’t mind so accepted the delivery time. After still not receiving ny parcel in OCTOBER, i sent our another email to be told ny parcel had been ‘picked and packed and was waiting to be sent out’.
I still hadn’t received ny order two weeks later so sent out another email where i was told that they would follow up on my order. Today, the 4th of November, i received an email with my order cancellation- after patiently waiting 6 months. I sent an email questioning the cancellation to find out i had been blocked.
Disgusted with their customer service and business as a whole. I urge you to PLEASE do NOT buy from this company.
Like the other reviews say, they are a scam.

Unequipped to deal with the realities of a business.

Ordered a Mystery Box after seeing them on tiktok back in JUNE. Waited patiently as I wanted to support a small business and understand how it could easily become overwhelming. Received absolutely no response after emailing in September. Had my order cancelled today and will apparently get a refund (I hope). Completely out of the blue, and the customer service email bounces back.
So not worth the hype. Hope this is a massive learning curve for them. Also find it so rude to be advertising SO many new products on tiktok, and then silently disappointing what looks like loads of customers behind closed doors, and not admitting their mistakes.
Support local charity shops instead.

Unprofessional and disappointing

I ordered in June and, after waiting for nearly a month with no communication, received an email about how the company had messed up and received an influx of orders that they didn’t have the stock for. I was patient and decided not to cancel my order as they are a small business and it was understandable even if they had handled it poorly.
2 and a half months, and several promotional emails advertising very low priced stock, later, I receive another email about the delays, apologising but stating we will receive our orders. This email also complained about poor reviews being left.
I decided to wait again as I had already waited this long and the money had gone out my account when I first ordered. I also hoped they were genuinely just a small business who didn’t know how to handle their sudden success and were just making a few mistakes along the way.
More emails offering discounts were sent after this. They also offered discounts to anyone who would write them a good review.
Then a month after the delay update email I have received an email saying my order is cancelled ‘because of unforeseen circumstances’ and stating I have been refunded. As it stands the refund is not in my account but I will wait and see if it arrives. There is nothing further in the email. This is really disappointing but after all the promos I cannot say I am surprised. I would not recommend buying from here at all unless you want to spend money to receive no products and get lots of unprofessional emails whilst you wait for a refund.

6 month wait order cancelled no refund

Ordered in May, waited as they said they were struggling with demand. I sent one email asking if they would be fulfilling outstanding orders as they were advertising new bundles - generic reply again saying about supply and demand. Now order cancelled with no refund. 100% a scam do not waste your time or money.

Massive scam

Massive scam. Waited 4 months for my order with little to no customer service, only to receive an email that it's been cancelled due to unforseen circumstances. They're selling inventory they haven't properly accounted for and mucking everyone around. Yet to see anyone actually receive their clothes. Also the customer service email literally bounces when you try contact them about it. What a joke.
