Brilliant adventures with amazing people
I have had the absolute privilege to experience several Clipper Adventure events over the past few years and they never cease to amaze and thrill. We are just back from the Sir Robin Knox 2024 round the island race and it was brilliant.
Clipper are always professional, safety is everything and every single person on their team are so friendly, expert and always make us feel welcome.
I cannot recommend this experience enough. Fantastic for team events and such a nice way to spend time with family and friends.
Another great Clipper Events race
Another great Clipper Events weekend. The Cowes - Dinard - St Malo Race delivered everything I expected and more! The lively winds and moderate sea state made the conditions challenging which tested the crew to their limits but we all pulled together and got the boat to St Malo where we enjoyed a great evening. It was exciting sailing the boat through the old locks and wonderful to moor along the old quay walls.

Second clipper race for me
Second clipper race for me, cross channel Cowes to Dinard/St Malo.
We had Jake as skipper, great skipper remains calm even when situations become difficult in a Force 8 off Guernsey. Ollie and Juerg also fantastic, great at instructing and making everything work!!
It’s a fantastic team spirit on board, made some great friends.
The only negative was after a 24 hour sail back was a “deep clean” of the boat, I would rather have paid a bit extra for a professional company to clean the toilets etc.

I will be racing with Clipper again!
The First and Second Mates - Giles and Wayne - made sure I had a brilliant experience. As a beginner, they were both patient in teaching me things, and made sure we were all safe. They were also great company.
I also thought Tom and all the Clipper office team were fantastic in corresponding pre-race, during and after. They are all friendly, and can't do enough for you. And I love my Cowes-St Malo (Dinard) race t-shirt :)
I do think the price of the event should be cheaper though, considering you eat out (at your own cost) in France and the night before you leave, plus the evening you return. Maybe these meals could be covered too.

RORC Salcombe Gin Morgan Cup
Overall this was a well organised race experience from start to finish. Whilst we were not in contention for a podium finish, we had a crew with a mix of experience with most having not raced before. This was a great introduction to racing with the emphasis on learning and having fun safely.
It would have been nice to race against other clipper yachts to give a greater sense of competition and gauge how well we are performing together.
That said, It was exciting and at times challenging when putting in multiple tacks and jibes in relatively short spaces of time. The start line was particularly exciting as around 45 yachts were jockeying for a good start line position without making a jump start. That made it very busy as the water was shared with ships, ferries and other day craft.
I am planning to join another clipper event and seriously considering a clipper round the world leg.
The customer service from the first contact to the end was very good.
Thank you for the excellent experience and the knowledge sharing from a first class skipper and mates.
I will be back for more!

Cowes to Dartmouth Race on CV2
Great fun with a great skipper and a good crew of diverse, interesting people. Plentiful hot drinks and snacks enroute with a well earned celebratory meal in Dartmouth. The race had variable weather conditions, mostly good wind which gave interesting sailing. Some slower sailing, notably on our return to Gosport.

Amazing and safe sailing experience
What a great experience to sail with Clipper Events. I had an amazing time, met great people and learn something new every day. And the most important, I was feeling safe at all times, even when the weather was rough. The company put safety first so you can just enjoy the sailing. The skipper, the first and second mate made sure we had a chance to try everything on the boat and even served us amazing meals, while we were at 45 degrees angle during the stormy weather. Lots of laugh, lots of learning, and great time at the pub after the race. I cannot recommend them enough and I can’t wait to sail with them again.

Clipper is not for the faint of heart!
Clipper is not for the faint of heart!
In 2022 I completed legs 7 and 8 of the Clipper Round the World race. In 2023 I completed the RORC Rolex Fastnet race with the Clipper organization. I found the training to be Informative and educational. In spite of the fact that I have sailed all my life, it was well worth the invested time. My experience with the professional sailing teams has been extremely positive. Dan and Ineke were the professionals on my 2022 experience and Alex Laline was our skipper with Joerg and Kiki for the Fastnet. Both events reminded me of what teamwork really means and requires of each participant.
The support staff, both in the office, and the maintenance crew, were always enthusiastic and helpful to resolve any challenges.
I would thoroughly recommend the Clipper organization to anyone, seeking a personal challenge and an exhilarating experience. I am 72 years young, and found the experience well worthwhile.
The Fastnet Race Campaign Was Incredible!
The Fastnet Race campaign organized by Clipper Events was fantastic! The certifications organized at Hamble School of Yachting made it easy to ensure we all got our certifications, that we met one another, which started our team building, and had a common expectation of what to expect. The qualifying races allowed us to start working together and getting to know our skippers, our own strengths, and a feel for the waters around Cowes. And the staff was always there with a smile, a camera, and some words of encouragement, making it a great experience. Highly recommend!
Friday 10th March
Great, knowledgeable and social crew. All very very helpful. Great day.

A truly memorable day sailing with…
A truly memorable day sailing with Clipper Events.
The post booking, pre-sail information was thorough and were met on the day by the team dock-side before joining the yacht.
There was a thorough safety briefing and we were kitted out with appropriate wet weather and life preservation gear. Clipping in an out of the safety lines is a fiddle but given we were sailing in March, in a force 6-7, very necessary.
Whilst complete beginners are welcome, most of our team had sailed before and we all got involved in crewing and helming the Clipper which was very different, and more complicated than any yacht any of us had sailed previously.
The day can be as full-on, or as laid back as you want but getting involved is by far the best way to experience sailing a Clipper. Although this is not a day for those that gin-palace luxury, she is a racing yacht with no frills or creature comforts!
It was absolutely freezing when we sailed, much colder than any of us expected and the ski-style hand warmers were used in gloves, pockets and socks - a recommendation if its not high summer when you sail in the Solent.
The skipper (Max), 1st Mate (Maisie) and 2nd Mate (Charley) were fantastic, providing expert advice, guidance and (much needed) hot drinks throughout the day.
Sailing a Clipper is unforgettable and we thoroughly recommend to all who fancy an adventure and are not put off by a bit of hard work.

What a fantastic day!
We had a great time and the guys really looked after us so well. They quickly evaluated what we were looking to get out of the day and then set the day up brilliantly, with just the right mix of getting involved and enjoying ourselves. Thank you very much Max, Charley and Maisie - you all made is such a great day

A fantastic weekends sailing
A fantastic weekends sailing. The skipper and first mate, James and Mary, made the whole experience relaxed and fun, but still managed to bring everyone together as a very competitive crew which made for very exciting racing. A good time was had by all. Many thanks.

Great experience with the crew of northern powerhouse. Tense racing but always fun and great team leading James, Mary and Kiki! I was shown the ropes and definitely got bitten by the sailing bug!
Sunny weather and fair winds definitely topped off a great weekend.
