An unforgettable Ama Dablam Experience with an Exceptional Guide

I climbed Ama Dablam with Prakash from Climb Himalaya, and I honestly could not have asked for a better experience.

From the moment I arrived in Kathmandu, everything was seamless. I was picked up from the airport, taken to a lovely hotel, and supported with all the preparation for the expedition. I felt looked after from the very start, which made a huge difference going into such a big trip.

The trek in was incredible in itself—beautiful tea houses, plenty of good food, and a really fun atmosphere. It genuinely felt more like an enjoyable journey in with card games and good company than just a means to get to base camp.

At base camp, we stayed at the Ama Dablam Lodge, which was such a perfect setup. Everything was taken care of, and it made for a really comfortable and well-organised base for the climb.

The climb itself was amazing. The logistics were excellent, with tents already set up on the mountain and a clear, well-communicated plan from Prakash about how we would approach each stage. Safety was always his top priority—we took acclimatisation and training seriously, which meant that by summit day I felt strong, confident, and fully prepared.

What stood out most to me was how much Prakash listened. He involved me in decisions and made sure I had input into how the days unfolded, which made the whole experience feel really personal rather than just being guided through it.

During our second rotation, we went from Camp 2 to the summit and all the way back to base camp in a single day—something I had really hoped to achieve. I genuinely don’t think that would have been possible without Prakash’s support, judgement, and belief in me.

This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and one I’ll be talking about forever. I couldn’t have imagined doing such a special expedition with anyone else, and I would recommend Prakash and Climb Himalaya without hesitation.

My first trekking experience in Nepal

My first trekking experience in Nepal, a 10-day journey, was truly one of the most memorable and meaningful trips of my life.
I had the chance to visit both Kathmandu and Pokhara, each offering its own unique charm—from the warm and welcoming people to the rich culture and breathtaking natural landscapes.
The scenery was so stunning that it felt beyond words or any kind of measurement.
Throughout the trip, I was constantly supported and well taken care of. Special thanks to Asutosh, who carefully planned everything according to my wishes and ensured I could visit all the places I dreamed of.
This journey has become a truly special memory, and I am certain that I will return to Nepal again in the future.

Ashutossh Bhusal Elephant Carer

I met Ashutossh Bhusal when I visited Nepal.Ash was managing the Everything Elephant store shop located in Chitwan and while talking with him I was made aware of a sanctuary for elephants. The next day Ash collected myself from the hotel and I spent the day with the elephants. Ash was involved in the running of the sanctuary. A most cordial gentleman(as are most Nepalise people).I have not trekked with as a guide but as a person I can recommend his genuiness and love of elephants

My team completed our trek around…

My team completed our trek around Manaslu in the Autumn of 2025 and it was the best decision to use Climb Himalaya. We had fanatic service in Khatmandu and even better guides and people with us on the trek. Events like these are truly one of a kind and resonate with you forever and I could not recommend Climb Himalaya more if you plan on going on a trek or expedition going forward!

Done the nice trekking of Mardi Himal

Done the nice trekking of Mardi Himal, through Ashutos of Climb Himalayas. Communication was thoughtful, very hands on and easy.
We were very happy with our fitted guide Sanjay. Trekking with my father of (72) it was nice to have someone who really watches over you. He was right behind him every step of the climb, making sure that he would not slip but without being present to much. That way he felt more like a friend and we really appreciated his company. In the evenings he made sure that our accomodations were nice, with good food and extra blankets, if needed.
Would definitely recommend planning your next trip with Climb Himalayas!

And unforgettable experience up close…

An unforgettable experience up close with these gentle giants. What I loved about it, is that there is no harm is done to the elephants. No riding or forcing them to do anything unethical. You just watch them and feed them some of their favorite treats. Would totally recommend!
