I owed a company 28000 & the company that I owed sent me a settlement agreement for $11500 so I forwared it to Vantax so they called the company & settled for the same amount & charged me $8800 for their so called setlement--plus the agent that I was dealing with is no longer with company--phone disconnected & email deleted
This companies representative painted the picture of if I wasn't happy with their service that I could cancel and get my remaining funds back. What he failed to do was to explain the actual process. That is that if you cancel then they keep all of the funds they took from you under the claim that they get paid then you get what's left. They only negotiated with 2 of my creditors one they were able to reach a settlement with the other they were not. They only spoke with 2 creditors and refused to move on to the other creditors when I told them to drop the one that wouldn't negotiate. They said that they needed to reach a settlement before they moved on to the next one. When I canceled they kept my funds and said they needed to be paid for the work they did. They took more than $1500 in 3 months and only $400 for the one settlement. They got paid more than anyone else, and I still have companies to deal with. I have no problem with paying for the service as long as you actually do the work.
