I am contacting my bank about this company, clear checks they charged for dbs but did not show the amount at time of processing the transaction, plus asking for more money for completing the ID?? They have not sent me anything apart from automated copy and paste responses! cannot call them and only email responses, stay away this is a total scam and i will be reviewing this and contacting a ombudsman! please use the gov site which is only for 18£

I think this company has scammed me ,I am trying to get a refund but unfortunately cannot login ..nor can I speak to anyone on the phone . Disgusting really ,feel really taken advantage of .I have learning difficulties and this kind of thing causes me so much stress .will go to the Citizens Advice Bureau and see if they can help ☹️

These people are the scum of the earth. They deserve MINUS 5 stars and, like cigarette packets, should have a Government notice warning 'THIS COMPANY WITH DAMAGE YOUR WEALTH. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF FOR EVRYTHING THEY CAN GET.'
They pay high rates to the likes of Google and sit at the top of the page waiting to catch the unwary fish who are tired, busy, in a rush, off guard, unwary, not paying attention or unwell and they will grab from you sums of £90+ for something you can on the Government site for £18. On cancelling you will be lucky to get anything more the zero.
The sad thing is that the Government position is buyer beware when they should be shutting these people down. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR CLEARCHECK!

You can get exactly the same thing off the gov website for £18 and in a fraction off the time.

By the time you realise what you’re in for with these guys it will be too late and they will just keep wanting more and more money !!!

I Gave 1 star only because I couldn't move forward with no star rating I have checked this company out on companies house the the registered number shows that their previous company name was TELCOM BUSINESS SOLUTIONS LIMITED 21 Jun 2006 - 12 Jul 2018

I have paid £85 on their site then directed to go to another site where they asked for a £15 payment, I sent 4 messages to them no response? I called them which was a number 03000 200 190 for another company who are legit on Gov website

Nothing to do with the service that they say they offer, I will be contacting my bank to see if I can get my money back !! SCAM do not use them please...

They are lying! I won’t get your DBS! Don’t send your money to this place!!! Never!!!!

Avoid this company at all costs!! Not only are you charged through the nose but when you realise it's going no where, you are then refunded (I realised it was a scam less than a day in) a small portion of the payments taken so far. I thought this would be the end of the matter only to find that they have continued to take small sneaky amounts of £8 a month since. Vile company with no actual service to speak of.

I ran a pre employment background check on myself, and I was clear of everything (including the county I committed crime in, and i had to pay extra for them to search that county)

My new employer ran a background check and found my prior crimes in the county clearcheck claimed I was clear in.

I confronted the support and dispute department that the validity of their software is inaccurate and I am a prime example of why no one should use this website for pre employment screenings.

Please do not use this company there is something very wrong with them.
I had previous basic DBS I have valid Police Wetting and they still do not process my basic certificate
I uploaded all documents still nothing
I need to cut my loses and start with gov side.

I applied for an Enhanced DBS check, the Government not offering this service. Clearchecks offered the service for £38, plus £10 for fast track '1-day' processing.

On completion of the application I went to pay and was charged £78.50 for the £18 check on the Gov site. Then required to pay a further £15 to upload documents.

Having spoken with the Home Office Disclosure team, it's clear they are well aware of Clearchecks' dodgy practices, and receive numerous complaints about them each week.

I gather – and the Home Office confirm – that they would then seek to take £8/month in perpetuity: for what, who knows.

I cut my losses and took a refund of £27.50, all that was on offer. So, £50 down the pan, and card cancelled in case of ID or plain theft, because of fraudulent thieves preying on an urgent need. They – you, Clearchecks – should be shut down.

SCAM SCAM, i paid 85 gbp for 1 day service, then they directed me to a different website which i ended up paying extra 15 gbp to verify my identity, then they said its failed, again i paid 15, then failed, how ever i ended up paying extra 45 gbp on top of that 85 gbp finally nothing happened. asked refund , only refunded 20 gbp. these are bunch of thieves, hope everybody behind will have a miserable death including their childrens, all my money stillen,

Scammers, please close them down, they are stealing money.

Requested DBS certificate after 12 days still no result. Charged £75 plus £15 to verify documents and £8 for speed of service. Do not use this company. You go around and around trying the upload your documents. I cancelled and they gave me £27 refund. So £47.50 charged to delay DBS certificate and forthcoming work. Go to gov.uk. DBS. Processed application in 20 minutes and a fraction of the price.

guys please read all the comments it is true this clear check out fit is an absolute scam it cost me 83 pound to start with then directed to another outfit at 12-50 and then clear check says the wrong documents what a load of crap.
I told them I want my money putting back in to my account to only get 25 pound back or I think that's what's going back in.
please keep a wide berth from these guys use UKGOV it only costs 18 pound.

Scammers. They took over £100 from me for a CRB document and for someone to verify these over the phone They never actually called the referee and never sent me a CRB. Then they started taking £8 a month from me and stated I have signed up for their ridiculous iCloud service which offers absolutely NOTHING! I wish I’d read the reviews first. Absolute fraud, why are they allowed to operate and advertise over Google?!!

Do not use this service. I have 20 employees and I ran a background check on myself just to see if this company is accurate. It did not pull up any records with my actual name and had a misspelled version of my name with general information about what county I'm in. I would think I had issues with ID theft if I didn't monitor my credit so closely and have ID theft monitoring. When I complained and asked them to run it again, they said to contact the credit bureau. I have viewed copies of credit reports as early as last week with no issues noted. I will not use this service anymore.
