Everything about Pengelly Manor was excellent.
Its central location is ideal for both Cornwall and Devon and is equidistant from both coasts.
The ‘cherry on the cake’ for us was meeting Reg, gardener and maintenance man, with his trusty understudy, Kev.
These two are ambassadors for Pengelly and for the West Country as a whole, providing a warm welcome and some good suggestions on the locality.
This was a three generation family holiday, making fabulous and lasting memories.
We would have absolutely no hesitation in re-booking.
Murray & Sue Gibson.

We have just returned from a wonderful week in 5 Green Edge. The location is excellent with mountain views and easy access plus all the beach and boating facilities of Anglesey. The property is clean, well-maintained and has all the facilities and equipment we needed for a family of four (two children 10 and 12 years) plus two grandparents. The house has a style and elegance of a well-loved home-from-home, while still providing robust equipment and fittings for rental use. We particularly enjoyed cooking in the well-stocked kitchen and meals around the kitchen table. Parking on the Green is convenient and day trips to anywhere on Anglesey and in Snowdonia are easily done. The amenities (supermarket, mini golf, play area) are all close and perfect for the grandchildren. The mountain views are stunning. We would consider staying at 5 Green Edge again.

Great company, Holiday house was just as described in description and photos and we had a lovely holiday in Cornwall. Classic Cottages were brilliant in keeping us updated and no issues with them.
We will certainly use them again when booking a UK holiday. Thank you

I cannot find any fault with Classic Cottages. Their admin is spot on and there is always someone at the end of the phone should you need them. The bungalow we stayed in is superb ( we have stayed there before) and we had a really great holiday. Thanks

The cottage was stunning, the welcome pack was lovely, even for the dogs. The doggy chest was amazing. There were plenty of games & DVD'S to choose from. The gardens were so pretty. A beautiful, peaceful place.

LOCATION
We booked with Classics Cottages and stayed at Upton Mill in Cornwall from 18-25 July. The location is beautiful and remote. The views are amazing. It is lovely and quiet, with the odd moo sound from the cows, and you really do feel like you can relax here and get away from it all.
In terms of getting out and about, given you are off the beaten track, you do need to drive to all of your locations; even if just popping out for a pint of milk. Roads into the house are narrow. Be prepared for some tight manoeuvres with on coming traffic.
The local pub is advertised as a short walk away, which is true, but what isn’t advertised is the very steep hill you need to walk down to get there and getting back up is really for the super fit! Maybe there was another way, but we did not discover it.
THE HOUSE
The house itself is fantastic. It’s spacious and beautifully decorated and very sympathetic to the landscape - absolutely stunning. The rooms are spacious all with en-suite so never a queue for the bathroom! The house has some beautiful areas. There were 10 in our party and the layout allows you to spend quality time together as well as giving people the opportunity to have their own space. Not once did we feel like we were on top of one another.
The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances and the dining area is fantastic.
Having the utility room is very handy, especially to dry off clothing on the rainy days if you get them!
We had issues with the Wi-Fi to start, but we got in touch with the owner who was very responsive and helped us solve the issue. If you don’t have WiFi, your connectivity and ability to make calls will be limited.
The main bedroom on the top floor has a real luxurious 5* look and feel to it; a really beautiful room. Unfortunately, the roll top baths plug did not quite fit properly which meant the water continually drained, albeit slowly, whilst in use! The drainage to the wet room bathroom needs to be looked at as even a 5 minute shower left the room in a complete puddle.
Cleanliness throughout the house could not be faulted.
There are lots of board games provided by the owner for you to play as well some outside games which is excellent. There are even 2 book cases with various genres for you to enjoy reading during your stay. A great touch.
THE GARDEN AND UPSTAIRS BALCONY
The garden is a nice sized area. There is a lovely patio and seating area. Brilliant for outside dining. If you bring your dogs, as we did, some attention to the fencing is needed. There was a section that was open and needs a new panel. In addition some consideration to the area that was blocked off with a piece of trellis to over growth beyond the garden could also do with some attention. Our dogs are fairly good at not attempting to go beyond the boundaries, when told, but could be an issue for the more inquisitive woofers.
Just something worth noting is the gap at the bottom of the garden gate, my spaniel almost escaped under it. Any smaller dog could freely get out!
There is also a balcony with seating and bench tables. This is a wonderful spot to spend a warm evening and star gaze! There are even plenty of throws provided to use for those that get a little chilly.
This area also has a BBQ. Unfortunately, this was left uncovered and had not been cleaned so we did not use, which is a shame.
There was a spindle missing on the upstairs balcony which left a gap over the staircase down to the garden. We had to wedge back into place. Worth getting that one fixed.
OTHER COMMENTS
When we arrived, we were greeted by the previous guests “filled” poo bag at front door which we had to dispose of ourselves.
Some small details for improvements would be to have a welcome book or folder containing instructions e.g. WiFi password (and how to reset if required), rubbish collection and where to put out the bins (collection says a Monday but the collection was made on Friday), maybe some more up to date info for the surrounding areas e.g. nearest shop, more up to date leaflets on local attractions. Also, would be good to mention in there that you might get a visitor from the garden who enters the property from the gate unannounced.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would happily recommend and would love to return.
Thank you 😊

This is a lovely cottage. In warm weather the outside areas are wonderful, with views over Swaledale and the surrounding hills. In cooler weather the multi fuel stove in the sitting room makes the house feel very cosy. The bedrooms have fabulous views, blinds and curtains, plenty of storage, and comfortable beds, and the bathroom has a really good walk in shower. The kitchen is small but well equipped and also has french windows that open onto the garden. I can thoroughly recommend this as a lovely base if you want to explore Swaledale.

High Tide is a great apartment to stay at in Falmouth, not only is it clean, spacious and very comfortable but it is well placed for access to the town and all the amenities' that can be found there - Shops, Restaurants, Bars etc and with fantastic views on the door step.
Booking with Classic Cottages was easy and straight forward and they provided all the information we required to both access the property and our enjoyment

Easy to use the app or the website for booking.
Also great to be able to speak to someone on the phone unlike some other booking companies.
Plenty of accurate information on the app.
They publish all reviews whether good or bad. Had a poor stay with another company and review never published.
Will definitely use them again.

I had a wonderfully restful break at Sammi's Freight Train. The 'truck' was a cosy, quiet little haven with beautiful views over the field to the hills beyond and I was very comfortable there. Friendly welcome from the owner; amazing soak in the hot tub; lovely bimble about on the farm's land; lots of wildlife to sit and enjoy; comfy bed and pillows; nice big towels; slept like a log and even though I was there alone, I felt totally safe. Very happy to recommend.

Beautiful property in The Lizard, Cornwall. Only a couple of minutes walk to the village and about 20 minutes to Lizard Point.

All went smoothly & well! Staff were very helpful - and the cottage booked (June 25) was everything they promised - and a bit more!
Will use Classic Cottages again.

Spent a week in the Garden Cottage at Habton House. This is a quintessential cottage with the addition of a modern bathroom and kitchen. All the linens and products were high quality and the bed exceptionally comfortable. The cottage has the benefit of views of the beautiful garden of the main house. It is a wonderful setting that is peaceful and quiet. We received a lovely welcome basket and had a wonderful time. We would definitely revisit this cottage if we were to go to Yorkshire again.

The alpaca hideaway offered us a unique experience. We were given privacy, in a beautifully maintained shephards hut. Tea, coffee, milk, towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all supplied. The hut was clean, and warm, there was a microwave, a small toaster, and kettle supplied. The hot tub was clean, and was prepared before our arrival, and we had wood available ( at a small extra cost) for another hot tub while we were there. The views are stunning, added to by the lovely alpacas in the field with us. They were very quiet, curious creatures that made the stay so special. We have already booked to go back again in a few weeks, for longer!
