Lovely shopping experience

I came into the Wallington store on the 17th March with my daughter and was served by Emma, who was very knowledgeable and polite. Nothing was too much trouble and I came away with two new pairs of shoes. Lovely shopping experience and I will be returning!.

Went into Wallington Clark’s on the…

Went into Wallington Clark’s on the 29/01/26, to purchase 3 pair of shoes for my children, at around 4pm
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Don’t normally see friendly staff these days, but they was happy and willing to help. I have 2 happy children with new shoes. Thank you Clark’s Wallington!!

Poor customer service experience at Clarks Wallington

I’d like to share an experience that took place at your Wallington store on 29 January 2026 at approximately 16:30.
I entered the store to exchange a pair of faulty shoes. I approached the counter where a staff member was standing at the till and informed him of the issue with the shoes.
A lady who entered the shop at the same time as me, and who had been proceeding towards a side door of the shop, then turned around and walked to the till area on the customer side where I was standing. She said, “You got the receipt?” I did not know who she was, and she did not introduce herself or explain her role.
She then abruptly asked, “What is the fault?” I replied that the stitching was coming away. She responded by saying, “It’s not the stitching, it’s how the shoe is made.” I replied that the stitching was clearly coming away.
She then asked the staff member to get a replacement pair from the back of the store. I then stated that I would like a refund instead. She then walked off.
I said the word “vile” under my breath. She then turned around and asked, “What did you say?” I replied, “You are vile,”and that her service was poor. She asked again what I had said, and I explained that she had approached me in a hostile manner and had not said hello. She stated that she had said hello, which she had not. She then proceeded to argue with me.
At this point, I stopped engaging with her and asked the young man at the till for her name. He told me her name was Nicola, and he then processed my refund.
Had this negative interaction with Nicola not transpired, I would have been more than happy to accept an exchange. I believe Nicola requires refresher training in customer service so that she can lead by example for other members of staff.

Happy customer

Having not had a great experience in the Colliers Wood store I decided to try the Wallington store, for my eldest daughter’s school shoes. My experience couldn’t have been more different. Your team in Wallington were attentive and friendly. I was served by Emma who clearly knows her stuff and was very professional.
All in all I left the store feeling confident that the shoes I had purchased fitted my daughters well and that they would be comfortable in them all day at school. Emma is an asset to your team and I will be returning in the future to the Wallington store.

GRANDSON LOVES THIS SHOP

Always love going into this store. Take my grandson who was very nervous to start with, but now enjoys visiting the shop for shoes. All thanks to Nicola who is absolutely brilliant with him. So helpful and patient, and just a great experience for him. All the staff are lovely there.

Emma made it a lovely experience and spent a lot of time trying different shoes with a relative who having for issues. She measured her, she was patient and kind. Recommend

A pre wedding panic buy

A pre wedding panic buy. I walked into Wallington Clark’s. I asked to try on 3 pairs of shoes. That we retrieved and plonked down next to me. No help of unpacking the shoes. All 3 assistance were busy talking to each other and worried about organising the displays. Did I say I was the only one in the store.

This terrible customer service.

When I first came in a customer was apologising for asking for help. I now know why.

Clarks have lost the focus on the customer and more worried about the look of the store.

Sad news.

Clarks Wallington Store

Was on the hunt for school shoes on Friday, tried Croydon but que was too long, went to Bromley got seen however the shoes were not in stock. Called the Wallington store who saved me a pair and was very helpful when I finally got there. Thank you so much to the young man behind the counter for saving for me and to the young lady who helped us try on for a perfect fit. Clarks Wallington you were a life saver....thank you so much again
