Great service
We were served today by Graham.
He was incredibly patient with my mum, who has mobility issues & very badly swollen feet.
Graham went above & beyond, even suggesting passable gents options.
I've only selected 4 stars, as there was nothing that fitted her, which was disappointing, but no reflection on the service.

BRAEHEAD STORE GLASGOW!
I am not local to the area, but traveling to see my elderly mother (88 yrs)
I chose to take her to Clarkes over other footwear shops due to the name, who doesn't rate Clarkes shoes? How unbelievably wrong could I be? My mother, like many elderly ladies is mobile but suffers with pain and swelling in her feet, however, she is a very proud lady! And all she wanted was a comfortable pair of shoes for around the house. The shop was reasonably busy, but not crowded. We waited patiently and were finally approached by a smart looking yet overly perfumed man called Graham. I explained what we were looking for, and tried to let him know (without embarrassing my mother) that her feet were delicate and she was a little hard of hearing, being absolutely certain that she was in good hands. After selecting a few shoes that she liked, we waited for the 'Clarkes treatment'
And Graham didn't disappoint! My error was in thinking that this would be a pleasant experience!! He didn't ask before, quite roughly removing the lace up shoes that my mother was wearing, but as I said above, they were a little busy, so I said nothing and reassured my mother. He then, without any measurements, proceeded to try forcing a shoe onto her foot, and when she pulled away, obviously in pain, he actually rolled his eyes and sighed!! My 88 year old mother was trying to tell him 'thats too tight' and he didn't even give her the respect of eye contact before walking away and barking at another staff member to 'measure these' !
A younge lady came over and actually apologised for him! He then produced hand sanitiser and used it liberally, and yes, my mother saw this! By this time I was certainly questioning whether I'd walked into the right shop. I can only describe his behaviour as rude, arrogant and unprofessional, as even when my mothers feet were being measured he stood, arms crossed, watching while barking orders at other staff. I decided that this wasn't the shop for us. Once the measurements had been taken I informed the young lady (I didn't get a name) that we'd come back another day, I think she could see how upset mother was. But before leaving I approached Graham and informed him of my mother's upset and that I'd be making a complaint, absolutely certain of at least an apology. His response however was 'you do that' and he actually grinned at us as we left.
Im not well versed on Clarkes policies when it comes to staff, and I dont know if a manager was in store, but this experience was humiliating, painful and emotional for an 88 year old lady, who just wanted a comfortable pair of shoes. As a customer, I pity the other staff that must endure this kind of behaviour on a daily basis. Shame on you Graham, shame on you.

Very poor quality now, won't be shopping here again
Bought the Men's Aldwin Chukka in Mid Tan Leather. After 2 months, the 'wood' at the heel started peeling off. It's actually not wood, just a veneer glued onto the rubber surface. I had to rip the rest off because it looked so awful. After 4 months, the sole has completely worn out. Took the boots to a cobbler who advised that, due to the way the sole has been glued, it's not possible to repair or replace them.
I've never had these quality problems with Clarks shoes before. Looking at their website, they've changed the soles of all their styles to the same thing, likely to save money on their end. An £80 pair of boots that last 4 months is daylight robbery, especially given my last 5 Clarks boots costed £50-100 and lasted 3-4 years. I've been a Clarks customer for 20 years but I'll be looking for shoes elsewhere now.

Great service from Clarks
Great service from Clarks, I received my delivery to the store of my choice really quickly.
Comfort with a capital 'C'
Purchased leather loafers Sarafyna Iris. These shoes are the ultimate in comfort. Padded inside & wide fit.
rubbish shop. Terrible customer service.
drove to a store 30 mins away
ridiculously small range of shoes
2 assistants not bothering to help and doing nothing
went home to order 4 pairs online as couldn't see them in shop and not sure of fit
realised 2 mins afterwards I had forgotten to put discount code in
phoned and they refused to cancel order and refused to give me the discount
£2.50 to return
They need to put more stock in their shops. Its just a cheek to put a £2.50 on returns
Update 18/9/24 I contacted Clarks like the reply said to do and I have received NO reply.
On top of that, I got an email saying that they had received the shoes back ....but they had deducted £5!!! Not the stated £2.50. I've just spent 10 mins on the phone to get this sorted...no apology.
Clarks used to be a great shop years ago. I will never shop there again. Terrible customer service, pitifully small selection of men's shoes in their shop in Braehead Glasgow.( Don't waste your time going)
I ended up getting my shoes in M&S by the way, really nice too, brilliant customer service and refund procedure there
