Simple request took too long to resolve

We’ve had a frustrating experience with City Hive support related to a product labeling issue that took far longer to resolve than it should have.

Over the course of a week, multiple team members clearly communicated that certain items were being incorrectly labeled as “pre-arrival,” despite the fact that they were in stock and should not have been categorized that way. Unfortunately, despite repeated explanations, the issue persisted and required escalation beyond our account manager.

This resulted in a full week of lost productivity and unnecessary back-and-forth. More concerning was the apparent disconnect in communication, as our request was straightforward but did not seem to be properly understood.

We are hopeful this will be addressed at a higher level, but based on this experience, there is clear room for improvement in both responsiveness and internal communication within their support team.

CityHive cuts out the middle man.

Customer for over 10 years. The best thing about City Hive is they always have the store owner at heart. It may take some hammering out to get your digital offering exactly how you want it -- but it's never because the team doesn't value the way you do your business and relationships you have with your customers. Every liquor store owner should get out from under the thumb of the delivery apps (you know who they are) and take control of your market with City Hive's app for delivery, shipping, loyalty, and subscription clubs.

unorganized, un professional sadly its the mentality of what i assume is a young work force

OK Great no confirmation emails calls nothing weird but ok whatever they shoot a text at time I selected that they are waiting for me to join. I'm confused join what nothing been sent to me. SO while I'm waiting to get a link or somthing to join the meeting I'm reading reviews an I'm like you know what you dont even have my business yet an its anything but smooth well oiled system in place to me that's a red flag since I want them to run my stores web service an they cant handle a web conference call

City Hive is the worst delivery service

At this point, I want to reach out to tell others how bad the service from City Hive is. Within the last year, I have run into problems with deliveries from my local liquor store. They use City Hive and their deliveries are always a problem.

Let me give you the rundown. Every time I order a delivery, something is wrong. At -10 degrees, I don't want to go out to shop in store or do a pickup. So, I ordered a delivery. When it was half an hour after it was scheduled to be delivered and still had not shown up, I called the store. The employee who answered the phone told me that no one was available to deliver it at that time. By the time I received the order, it was over an hour late. Good thing it was nothing that I needed right away.

Prior to this, I had tried to use the free delivery offer that I received in my email. When I started to checkout, it showed that I had to pay for delivery. I called the store to ask about this issue. The employee I spoke with told me that they could not do anything about the delivery charge because it was offered through a different company. That was City Hive.

Good luck with deliveries from any liquor store or whatever else City Hive delivers. Don't expect much because you will not get much. They are not worth using unless you are in dire straights.

Citi Hive Sucks

Citi Hive Sucks! Payments do not go thru even with a valid credit card! No one ever answers phone! Site is down more than it is up. Worst merchant ever!

Claim to help businesses but intellect lacks, making us do extra steps

We have been experiencing ongoing issues with getting access to your API information. We would appreciate being connected with someone more knowledgeable who can assist us properly.

Trying to get API info from your team is like asking a fish to explain WiFi. Anyone there actually know what an API is?

City Hive is complete garbage

City Hive is complete garbage, as you can see from other reviews. If you are a merchant thinking about using City Hive, YOU WILL LOSE CUSTOMERS. I am a consumer and the platform has not worked for me for years. The two times I was ever able to get a response I was told they were working on it. I seriously wonder if it's even a legitimate company.

Hot garbage support

Extremely slow to innovate, terrible customer service, APIs will disconnect from your POS and it will takes months to get ahold of them for any one to fix it. Hell even turning off the service took 30 days, 4 phone calls, 6 emails.

Phenomenal Platform

City Hive is a phenomenal platform empowering brands, wholesalers, and retailers to take control of their destiny and go on the attack in this brave new world of technology and AI. I've seen firsthand the tremendous impact the platform has made on the lives of so many people - from small business owners to large, multi-generational family enterprises. Their technology is the most advanced in the industry by a country mile, the team pour their heart into everything they do and their founders are Legends - the exact kind of guys you want on your team.

The User Interface / experience has historically not been their strong point but I know this has been recognized and gradually the team is working to make their platform highly aesthetic and super intuitive to use. It's easier to train a work horse to also be a show pony than vice-versa.

Overall I truly believe all inventory based businesses would be wise to partner with City Hive given the strength of the technology, integrity of the team and boundless ambition of the Leadership.

Schedule a demo and take a look under the hood - I'm adamant you'll be impressed.

Horrible service

Apparently City hive is the delivery service for Twin Liquors. My delivery was late which I can deal with, but my delivery person only spoke Spanish which I don't, he texted and called a few times, I told him, in Spanish, that I don't understand or speak Spanish so I didn't know what he was saying. I ended up not getting my delivery and the Manager of Twin Liquors offered no recourse. Not at all happy with Twin or City Hive.

Easy, but generic e-commerce solution with poor support & communication

While City Hive provides an easy and comprehensive e-commerce solution and wine club management platform for small wine & liquor stores, their platform is offers very little in terms of design flexibility and customization. If you're a generic store that wants a generic looking website for easily promoting large brands to your customers, this is the solution for you. For everyone else, I urge you to do your research.

We've been very disappointed by their poor customer support. Major changes to site functionality and design were recently made without any direct prior communication; new features are constantly rolling out, but little training has been offered and only upon request; staff only responds to help requests - including urgent ones - during regular EST/EDT business hours (which isn't ideal for our West Coast store); support staff has little memory of previous conversations and little knowledge of our specific business needs and operations. Concerns are treated with a blasé attitude.
