I wanted to send a review about Citirental and was reading other revuies before I wrote.
Must say I agree with the majority of people - Citirental are a good car hire firm.
Of course, there are a few strange entries written by strange people but overall, I have to agree with the makority of reviewers who are positive about this firm.

I recommend - if you need to rent a car - rent from citirental.

Having booked a Dacia duster or similar size I was given a kia picanto. Two sizes smaller. As it was the end of the day and no other cars were available I had no choice.

I hired a car about 3/4 weeks ago and still waiting for my deposit back the emails are unprofessional and childish they gave me a motor that was a rubbish tip inside giving me the waffle of it’s been deep cleaned but there was someone’s crisps and peanuts down the side of the seats also looked and smelled like someone had a dump on the front seat

Easily the worst experience from any company I have experienced in the UK. I hired a van, after damaging the side mirror they went ahead and charged £450 for a simple repair that i have had quotes form other repair shops at no more that £150, so because they use their own repair shop they get away with charging 3x. I have tried to contact them but the only contact you will ever get hold of is a 90 year old man that tells you he can't help you gives you some random email that (1 month on) never gets a reply. I have had to contact the motor Ombudsman and we are currently fighting them.

Thieves.

Advice for anyone needing to rent a car. Forget about the big names charging money. I go to CitiRental in Hampstead (CitiRental.co.uk) they are fast, friendly and efficient. I get no hassles from these guys and they bend over backwards to help whenever necessary. Go CitiRental.

My name Greg Myserson and am happy to give my name and endorse this company with whom I have rented for years. CitiRental is a small friendly rental company who always go the extra mile to help and advise, ensuring my experience is trouble free.

Sure I used the so called ‘big boys’ who offer a sterile production line service but CitiRental on the other hand make a point of offering the little touches which I really appreciate like for example, always having my rental agreement printed and waiting for me, so I step into my rental car with a minimum of delay as opposed my other experiences the revuer refers to as the majors who make me stand in line and at the rental counter for what seems hours. In my honest opinion CitiRental is the way to go!!

All rental companies I have used over the years operate a similar system. You check the car over and the rental agent agrees any pre- existing dings. When you return they compare their inspection sheet with the condition of the car. Hopefully it’s the same, and off I go.

I was aghast to read this unnamed person’s revue of CitiRental and feel I need to comment. It is unqualified gibberish and on reading it note, there isn’t a single fact….. it’s full of spiteful rhetoric. I am astonished Trust-pilot passed this as fit for publication

Clearly the hissy-fit is the result of the rental agent noting fresh damage on the returning rental car. Any rental company noting new damage must surely account for it?

My message to the “mystery revuer” ….. Get a life.

Do not rent from this crowd I have just finished renting under the contract below.They are bad people and profiting bullying and a rip off. More expensive than the big companies who offer discounts.

The paintwork is in same condition as when collected. This is the fact. This is why they do not take pictures at the start, they just take your money you see clearly what s they are amateur in their reply to a customer

They rip you off by deducting if they want to make money of you when the car is in the same condition as when you rent it when you return it. you see the December review another customer it is same..
My Experience:- as a customer - bad. I cannot recommend this company to people visiting london who want to rent a car with no hassles or stress with the car hire company - just look how amatur and unprofessional they respond on this on here - but never call me.

Next time I will use a major car hire company with ( 1) internet site that works, (2) polite sales staff (3) company which telephones you to explain their deductions or a call center to call - they just passed me from garage to admin to ?? no where and tke their deductions rfuse to talk about it. This is unfair the car in same condition as when i collected it in the paintwork.Its not good enough citirental.

Next I find out that a traffic fine £65 i incurred was not passed to me by them so it went up to £130 and they try to charge £50 admin fee £190 for a £65 fine????????????????? THEY DO NOT CALL YOU ONCE THEY HAVE THE VEHICLE BACK THEY JUST CHARGE AND CHARGE AND CHARGE YOUR CARD BAD BAD BAD BAD

Do not do the mistake I did: to rent a car with them even if they have so many bad reviews!!

Unprofessional, frauders, no customer center to talk to.

I have been charged 600+£ for ONE DAY rental even if I included full coverage. Now I am wasting so much time to have this money back, and complaining that is probably costing me much more than that.

By the way: 5 stars reviews from customers with only one review are most likely fake!

Do NOT rent from these people. I did so for a number of years, but have just had an experience which, CitiRent's Facebook page suggsts, I'm not alone in being subjected to. I rented a car. On checking it out, CitiRental did a thorough check of the car body, as is normal, which I signed off on – but made no check at all of the windscreen. When I returned it (having used it only sparingly, on paved roads, in good conditions, with no instance of any impact on the windscreen), the check-in guy discovered a tiny nick near the bottom of the windscreen and they duly charged me nearly £70 above the rental cost... A bogus charge for a previously loyal customer. As I said, I would advise, especially since other customers appear to have had similar experiences, steering clear...

I rented a Nissan Micra and I’m very satisfied with the car and CitiRental service. Everyone I dealt with was friendly. I would definitely recommend CitiRental.

It’s easy to book online and I even referred a friend and got 30 £ for my next rental.
