After advising them 3 rimes before…pathetic abd mean service.

After advising them 3 rimes before renewal that i wish not to renew churchill debited my card. Complained, they said they will be sending me a cheque. A cheque for goodness sake on 21 st century. Whats even pathetic and mean the cheque was 3 pounds less than the amount they debited my card. Trustpilot ought to have minus points in reviews just to be fair when companies like churchill do not deserve a point

Churchill won;t speak to its existing customers

Just joined Churchill. One month in and I wanted to speak to them about adding my son with a provisional licence to the policy, as doing it through the online portal wasn't successful. No telephone number on the site, no telephone number when i asked the chat support. Spent 95 minutes on chat support to get the answer that they won't do that. A firm that won't speak to its customers. Awful experience. Never using them again.

Worst "insurance" company on the planet!

Worst "insurance" company on the planet!
Halfway through policy, I replaced the car with exactly same model, just newer. Updated new details online, only to be met with a pathetic "sorry, we cannot insure this car" Called the customer service number, only to be told the same thing. All they can do is cancel the policy with a partial refund. As my payment card expired, the refund cannot be paid to the replacement card, I have to wait 10 days for a cheque!
Are we supposed to never change our vehicles for a newer model? Complete wasters!!

Shocking

Shocking, just been to dads and says he has just renewed over phone for a great deal, £700+ for driving 1000 miles a a year. Also as hes retired took of driving to work as if that’s reducing policy. So to add this is with £250 voluntary excess. Well a comparison site has this level of insurance with £0 voluntary excess for £250. Complete co artists on a customer who has been loyal for 20+ years with two cars ( second car is nostalgic and goes to mot centre each year)

Churchill terrible after car got stolen

When my car got stolen I found Churchill to be absolutely incompetent. Don’t use them. The claim was a nightmarish loop of going nowhere. They don’t even answer the phone. I was without a car for months and the payout they gave me was nowhere near what it cost to replace the car.

Would warn against using Churchill.

Dreadful service
Finally given up after over 30 years with them.
Cost over doubled in one year.
Contact impossible by email and phone.
No promised manager callbacks ever.
Call centre now in South Africa.
Ill informed staff.
Give new customers the best deals and only reduce your cost if you phone through and ask.
Even then it is double what other companies are charging for what is now an inferior service.

Such a shame. Used to be a very good company. Even though their prices went up I stuck with them for the ease of service.
No longer the case, make customer experience very frustrating now.
If you value your time and money, do not use.

Churchill car insurance is the most…

Churchill car insurance is the most useless and unreliable car insurance company i have ever since come across in the UK

Its members of staff are so incompetent and the only thing they very good at is misinforming customers as in my case when somebody crashed into my car which was a no-fault accident.

I will never recommend this insurance to anyone

Car Insurance claim

Churchill provided terrible service in processing and short paying a Motor claim, they never communicated and never responded when questioned about what they were doing . Left me with over 1000 gbp to settle directly as 'property damage' to the third party.
Do not use.

The worst insurance company I have ever…

The worst insurance company I have ever come across, their customer service call centre is in South Africa, their customer service call centre staff is not fully trained and knowledgeable, I must have spoken to 4 different call centre staff to get a copy of my no claims discount and I also got charged for this, their staff are on commission and will charge you for every amend to policy and for sending you documents, I tried to escalate a complaint to a line manager and got told it was not necessary, I lost my temper with one of their staff for not dealing with my query and I decided to cancel my car insurance policy and only got back 30% of my 7 months refund. Avoid using this insurance company and go for a UK based call centre staff who can understand you.

No replacement car available for 3 weeks!

After suffering a minor bump in a supermarket car park I reported the incident to Churchill. I was informed that they don't have any replacement cars available for 3 weeks. 5 weeks after the incident, no repair, no replacement, no communication(the app is a joke). Absolute rubbish.

Excellent customer service

Although I have not had to claim through the provider or bought a policy because of their catchy adverts or have renewed for another year due to differences in quotes.

I can certainly recommend them to friends and family as they have been very courteous when called, initially offered the best price and followed up with news letter by post but also communicated via email throughout the lifetime of my insurance policy.

Having dealt with other big names such as Hastings etc. I can definitely say, if the quote was right (due to my own faults) I wouldn't bother going elsewhere but I'll still recommend these guys to others.

I called in to cancel my policy and Shaima has been a great help being professional, courteous and understanding.

Churchill and their partners - avoid them like a plague!

I would have given -5 if it had been possible.

I had Churchill Home insurance with Home emergency cover. When my boiler stopped working and leaking, I made a call. Churchill's contractor CET sent engineers. The engineers spend some time on the boiler and showed me a plastic tub of water telling me that was the water from my boiler and it had sludge in it. I didn't see them taking the water from my boiler. They didn't volunteer to show me. They also showed me a second tub of water that was completely dark. The image was used to defend their case with the Financial Ombudsman. For that reason of the alleged sludge in the water, they refused to pay for my repair.

I called my private engineer the next day and the private engineer showed me the water that came out of my boiler. It was clear! I took photos of the water in a clear tub, the water that had been leaked into the bucket from days ago, the water that came out of the hose the private gas engineer used drain the water from the boiler. Water was clear everywhere I saw. If I had been experienced, I could have checked the water in the bucket against the water sample the CET engineers showed me.

Stay away from Churchill and its partners!!!

Sounded like a South African call…

Sounded like a South African call centre. I know it is BTW. Made a non fault claim, ended up that I would have to pay them £1000.00 to continue my NON FAULT claim. Beyond ridiculously stupid. I am sick to the back teeth of dealing with these Corporate clowns. I had to hang up before it became even more my fault. So be warned. Home of the Great White. Do yourself a big favour and steer clear of this lot.

1st Time ever with Churchill and it…

1st Time ever with Churchill and it will definitely be the last time ever !
Car developed a fault in Under-tray ( no known reason why ?) and needs replacing and Churchill won’t even consider letting me make a Claim
Paid £327 Premium and have £300 excess and this is what I get for my money ??
If we knock this down to basics - I pay an Insurance Company a Premium against things that happen to my Car that need fixed. On top of this Premium I am also caught up in the Compulsory/ Voluntary Scam, whereby, nowadays, Insurance Companies think it’s ok to make some more money out of me ? ( the Excess alone would almost have paid for the Repair !)
And the one time I try to make a claim they refuse and wiggle their way out of doing anything at all ????
Call that a Service ??? I call it theft !
Less than helpful is a vey mild assessment of my interaction with Churchill and the sooner I’m not involved with them at any level, the better

Fantastic Helpful Staff

I recently spoke to both Kesh and Carrie on their bereavement team relating to car insurance following a relatives recent death. As the car was on a public road I had to take out Insurance as a named driver on the existing policy until it was sold on. They were absolutely brilliant. Efficient, respectful and sorted it out for me within a few minutes of my calling them.
