Money for Old Rope!
I approached Churches because I wanted a simple annual maintenance service for my Intruder Alarm system to support my Home Insurance Policy. I approached them because I wanted a local company that might also adopt some good local customer care. Their annual service quote was 20% higher than what I already pay with a different larger firm, but before all that, they wanted a one-off fee of £145 + VAT to change and input their own engineer codes, put their company stickers all over my equipment, and issue me with a “takeover certificate”. Takeover being the operative word, as though they assume ownership over MY equipment. Simply money for old rope. Regarding these engineer input codes, I smell a trap here, because if you wanted to leave their services, they will want an exit fee (I gather around £350) to unlock and release the codes - this is in effect a form of blackmail. At 66% negative TrustPilot Reviews they need to take a long hard look at themselves, or their “Direct Sales Executive” needs to loose his job. Note Churches response regarding your equipment is “simply looked after by us”. The only person that needs a security code for their intruder alarm system is the owner, their is simply No need for Churches to inject their own engineer codes. The only reason is to lock you out from changing to alternative company and ensure you pay your way towards releasing the codes. It’s simple entrapment.

Avoid them like the plague!
I used to love MONO and renewed with them for 23 years before these robbers took over. They needlessly say they will change batteries and then send an invoice in the evening of that same day! MONO never used to charge for batteries. The good for nothing engineer shrugged his shoulders when I asked if I would be charged for battery change. After 25 years - it is time to stand up to these bullying creeps. Avoid them. I will not pay them anymore than I have already.

Great company
We have been a customer of Churches Fire Security for some years now and in all that time we have received excellent service, guidance and support from everyone at the company. The office based staff are helpful, friendly and professional and, just as importantly, their technicians are thoroughly professional and supportive.
Efficient, friendly, reliable service
We have used Churches Fire & Security for our commercial fire alarm, emergency lighting and fire extinguisher servicing for many years. The technicians are friendly, efficient and prompt. They have the reports signed and emailed at the time of the visit, and on the rare occasion we've needed a non-routine visit, they have arranged a technician to attend as soon as possible, and kept us updated throughout the process. Would highly recommend.
Incorrect invoice
We received an invoice that wasn’t for us, it was for a different customer of Churches. I contacted their customer service department, explained the issue and was told I’d be contacted by the the accounts team. A month later and I haven’t heard anything. I sent a follow up email a week ago and still no response. Is this what they call customer service?!

Very unhappy with Churches
Very unhappy with Churches. They took over our fire and security from Customs. I thought Customs were very poor and was hoping for better. Sadly it's not to be. Contractors turn up without a clue about what they're supposed to be doing, problems have been outstanding for over a year, servicing contractors never come. They were supposed to come in January and still haven't booked a date. And worst of all I've had two people in customer services who have promised to see the issues through to resolution and then there is no further communication, despite follow up chasing emails. A disaster. Planning to move. Ongoing issue.

I reached out to the team inquiring…
I reached out to the team inquiring about a quote for the intruder and fire alarm systems for a new location in mid-April. Despite multiple attempts via phone calls and assurance that my request was noted, I have not received any follow-up communication from your side. As a result, I decided to collaborate with a different company, however, I wanted to convey my disappointment with the level of service provided.
Our intruder alarm would not accept the…pin and rang continuously!
Our intruder alarm would not accept the pin number, so I couldn't silence it. I rang Churches emergency number and spoke to Nick who managed to contact and engineer called Darrell and diverted him to our address.Darrell dismantled the alarm checked it and re-assembled it. He was such a pleasant, kind and helpful guy and very reassuring indeed. he recommended a survey of the alarm panel as it is quite old and the one of the buttons sticks occasionally. Your company should be proud to have him working for them - he deserves to go far!

Driver nearly killed me due to dangerous driving
One of their workers nearly run me off the road all because he was mad about not being in front of me. Happened this afternoon toward Fleet/Camberley way. Driver was next coming up next to me at traffic light (which was merging lanes).I was much ahead of sed driver when he tried to squeeze in last min speeding up (which was unsuccessful) proceeded to follow me down this long road at the tail of my car only cm away from the back of me. We came to a roundabout in which he went into the wrong lane for this exit that I was turn off on (again an attempt to get in fort of me) to which he continued to follow my car cm away form the back. Driver then went onto opposite side of the road which oncoming cars to then squeeze in front of me and hit his brakes to which I held my horn. He then went into 1st lane to turn into housing estate and stuck his middle finger up at me like I was in the wrong. I think this all stems back from he not being infront and wanted to gun down a 40 at 80 😂
Seeing these review for this company really doesn’t not surprise me, number plate was given to the company along with dash cam footage - will anything be done ? I highly doubt it.
If this is the kind of people who work for this company definitely avoid using them ! Made the company look back resulting in yet another bad review 😂😂 all because he is a dangerous driver and wasn’t respecting the rules of the road. Tosserrrrrr.
Good thing I wasn’t hit or this would be way more serious than a bad review. Let’s hope if the company know what good for their company they will ban drivers like this who make their bad reputation worse.
79% 1 stars says it all 🤦🏼♀️
Slow and charge the earth
Since our alarm maintenance company was purchased by Churches, our business had nothing but grief. They are beyond incompetent (and I don't write bad reviews lightly).
It Churches them six months to upgrade our alarm system to Dualcom since our business no longer has a landline. They are never willing to help with the simplest of problems and will always charge for anything at a huge premium. Avoid them like the plague.
Avoid unless money doesn’t matter to you.
Wanted £350.00 to attend my home to do an engineer reset on my alram as they had bought mono alarms out and I didn’t have a contract with churches. An extremely short sighted business plan as I will never contemplate using them again and reading online reviews I am not alone!
Unless money doesn’t matter avoid.
very rude man on the line
very rude man on the line. I called to question the rise in cost since they took over Mono who I never had a problem with in 15 years.
He more or less said - do u want to cancel or not.
Mono would never treat a client in this way.

Scam artists…
Was a loyal mono customer till taken over by this shower. They're operating a scam whereby they let your cover lax without invoicing you so they can charge exorbitant amounts for call outs because you're not covered. Avoid like the plague
Edit: agreed to pay for the call outs (Which were previously free) and Churches responded by sending me a solicitors letter for debt recovery; Can these scumbag tricksters get any worse? Please don't have anything to do with them.

Avoid like the plague...
Churches took over the company we appointed to manage fire safety for our business and the service took an immediate nose dive. Poor communication, technicians showed up without us requesting them and charged us for work we didn't want, written complaints were literally ignored (no response).
To add insult, they rely on spurious T&Cs contained in their email signatures to keep you in contract for a year after giving notice.
