I have recently completed the 6 week introductory course with Chris, and I couldn’t recommend it more. I am so so happy with the pots that I have come away with, and the classes were so fun. Chris was a great teacher, very thoughtful, patient, and supportive throughout, and he really built my confidence with throwing and glazing.I’ll definitely be returning for his ‘turn up and throw’ sessions.

My mum, sisters and I absolutely loved our two workshops with Chris (throwing and glazing). Chris was very patient, informative and easy going, and we had such a laugh creating our very unique pots! Would definitely recommend if you’re new to pottery and wanting to give it a go. We love the pots that we created and so happy that we’ve got something to take away from this experience. I had an amazing time being taught by Chris. It was a very rewarding experience and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming and exciting. Chris is a great teacher whose approach is laid-back and committed to showing us that perfection isn’t the goal. The whole process from throwing to glazing was something to look forward to each week. I now have many pots to be proud of with me at home!

Chris was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond throughout every step of the process. I emailed about creating a custom set of coasters for my mum, and he was quick to reply and honest about all the time frames, costs and risks, as with any pottery piece. He was really helpful throughout every step and very accommodating. Great variety of equipment and glazes to use as well, I would definitely recommend!!

A great introduction to throwing clay! Chris is a great teacher and explains things in a way that is easy to understand. The lessons are adapted to each persons ability so it doesn't matter if you have no experience at all. Would definitely recommend

Following on from our pottery session we returned to glaze our bowls. Again Chris was amazing. He is a brilliant teacher explaining how the glaze worked and how they were all applied. He then showed us what to do for each different way of applying the glaze. We decorated our bowls. Chris has so much patience. Another thoroughly enjoyable visit. We are looking forward to collecting the finished items.

Chris is a passionate and patient teacher. We loved getting hands on with the clay and learning the basic techniques. Each of us had chance to make 3 pieces and we can't wait to have a go at glazing.
I am not the most creative naturally but I found the experience was mindful and fun. The ideal thing to do with a couple of friends or family.

We’ve done the pottery and glazing workshops now as a couple and highly recommend. Chris is really clear with guiding you through the process but relaxed and lets you get creative in the process. We made 3 little bowls each and then went back to glaze them. We learnt a lot about techniques as well as having fun.

Welcoming and supportive environment for both my wife and our youngest son. They loved it! Both left feeling proud of their achievements in the time spent with Chris, who added a professional finish to their pieces.

Ordered a pottery class for a friend. The voucher arrived quickly in a beautifully printed handmade card. Payment was simple and my friend is super happy with the gift.

As a side note, I have a few items of Chris West pottery. All are unique and the glazes are beautiful. The globe vases in particular are awesome. Highly recommend.

Chris is a fantastic pottery teacher. I've been to a few other classes over the years but his techniques and explanations have by far been the best. He's a very friendly chap with a very unique pottery style. He has a beautiful little studio space and he's very welcoming. I would highly recommend his classes to anyone regardless of thier ability.

Excellent pottery class. Would highly recommend. Chris is very knowledgeable, gives clear instructions, is very patient and has a good sense of humour. We really enjoyed ourselves and time flew by so fast. Chris also makes a really lovely cup of filter coffee to enjoy on arrival, which was very much appreciated.
