Billing inconsistencies and inconsistent enforcement of visitation protocols
We engaged Child 1st for court-ordered supervised visitation services. While the supervisors themselves were generally professional, the billing has been a recurring problem. The confirmed hourly rate was communicated to us in writing, yet subsequent invoices have shown inconsistent mileage rates charged for the same supervisor across different visit days, with no explanation for the variance. We also did not receive a written rate agreement in advance of visits beginning, which we understand is standard practice for supervised visitation providers.
Beyond billing, there have also been instances where established visitation protocols and court-ordered conditions were not consistently enforced during supervised visits, which is concerning given the purpose of having a supervising agency in place.
We've raised these issues directly with the company and are still working through resolving them. If you're considering this provider, I'd recommend getting all rates — including mileage — confirmed in writing before visits start, auditing every invoice closely, and confirming in advance exactly how court-ordered conditions will be enforced and documented.
