Actually does not work. Horrible support. Feels almost like a scam. Paid in October and still don't have my sites live. There were days when the entire host went down including their website. Terrible experience, do yourself a favor and stay away from them.

I had so many bad experiences with this VPS provider but i just let it pass but just today they suspended my VPS saying it has High CPU Load. I am well aware of what i'm running on this box and i've been owning this box for more than 2 years or maybe more already and only now they will gave such stupid High CPU load Bul1sh1T!. It is obvious they are getting rid some of their customers - they maybe running out on resources already.
I had several VPS orders with them before that were labelled fraud and i don't understand why - they have asked for my credit card details etc but still my transaction is tagged as fraud. How can your long time customer be tagged as fraud?
3 days ago i had purchased new VPS from them - i've got charged already but VPS has not even been provisioned up to this time of writing. Tried leaving chat messages and email but no one cares to answer. Their support is useless and stupid!

The good: excellent, low prices.
The bad: limited number of box configurations, few storage options, weird performance hits, and a helpdesk that I imagine laughing as they type their infuriating responses.

Been a customer since 2010 with multiple vps instances, currently renting a 1GB OpenVZ vps, the uptime has been virtually 100% for a few years, possibly five nines, or 5 minutes down per year, mostly during reboot. I've had two ultra-cheap vps instances, both had an overcrowded host and were unstable, but the more expensive ones work fine.
The specs for my current vps are adequate for running several NodeJS instances. Kernel version is 3.16.x. Excellent bandwidth (1Gb/s down). 50GB of storage sufficiently fast for light I/O.
This is a low cost provider so not much to expect from support. Customer care is adequate relative to the price, but in absolute terms it's lacking.
Caveats:
1) Obsolete operating system images. Some OS'es allow to self-upgrade, so not necessarily an issue;
2) The kernel does not support some basic netfilter directives, so firewall remains disabled;
3) Memory overcommitment is expected. This hasn't been an issue with my constant/predictable memory usage.
4 stars in relation to the price.

Has something happened? It worked fine for 1st year but it seems they have taken our money and ran away! They have scammed me. It has been over 3 months and I've been waiting for my money back but they don't reply :(
I lasted one day on this VPS
I lasted one day on this VPS. Paid for it, and their login credentials didn't work. Had to work with Support just to get the thing loaded. Finally after a day, I got it to load and realized that it's garbage. Horribly slow download speeds, like .5-1mbps download speed. This is junk. I'm shutting it down and not going with them. I wish I read these reviews before committing.

Worst Technical Support & Billing Support
Have been using their VPS since BF 2017.
In 2018 my VPS went down, and the move my VPS to another node after few days. Lot of work to do from my side due to IP change, but still OK.
On Aug 2020, my VPS suddenly keep restarting without reason. And their solution is to reinstall the OS ??!!?
I refuse and begin to move my data into another provider, and leave my VPS idle after that.
On Oct 30, 2020, paypal auto payment run, when I realized that, I create a ticket on Oct 31, 2020 and asking for refund if it possible because I left my VPS idle since that issue. I didn't push them, just ask nicely if "IT IS POSSIBLE".
They throw the ticket into Billing Team (if there is any Billing Team), but there is not even a single answer from Billing Team. Asking for update several time but only other staff who answer, and ask me to wait billing team to answer. Today is Nov 28, 2020, and Billing Team keep silence, I think they lost their keyboard somewhere and could not answer the ticket.
I don't care whether they could refund my payment or not, but I will never use their service ever again !!!

Do not use this service you lose money and information, Chicagovps only thinks about your money, I had a bad experience with this company pay my bill for six months, I wrote them because the service appeared suspended but the server worked, for more than 4 weeks I wrote to them And nothing, afterwards they eliminated the server without telling me anything, I wrote them and the solution was not to reply to my ticket again. The information was lost.

The worst VPS. Don't walk, RUN. We have used them off and on over a period of 12 months and their servers are hacked often, crash completely, and they really just don't care. I think this company was recently sold before going bankrupt. DO NOT leave anything valuable on your server. They do not have protocols in place and do not have backups. zero.

Very very very bad. The VPS shuts down several times a day. I have raised several tickets, they apparently fix the problem but then it keeps on happening.

They love spammers they host spammers they do nothing about them they ignore emails and obviously unless you're a spammer according to the reviews I've read here you get treated like crap.

Service was suspended a few months ago in the client login area. It is clear that I do not have an active product service on file. However, received another bill this month and ChicagoVPS took payment from my credit card without authorisation. Its pretty much fraud!
