I have been part of the ChessMood family for more than five years, and I have stayed with them because of the consistently high quality of their material. Although I have not yet taken full advantage of everything they offer, even completing just one course fully gave me enough confidence to play the World Senior Championship last year, using their recommended openings with great success. Their courses such as Tactics Ninja and Mating Matador are truly outstanding; one of my youngest students, only six years old, has already reached a rating of 1100 largely by working through these programs. The “French and Dutch Attack under 2000” has provided a solid and practical repertoire for many of my students over the past few years.

ChessMood covers every aspect of the game, including endgame technique, middlegame practice, and calculation. I was particularly impressed when, while studying one of the French Defence lines, I saw how they connected it to instructive examples from their Classical Games course. They even offer a “blunder-proof” course, further reinforcing their commitment to practical improvement. One of the most valuable features for me is their webinars, where grandmasters play their own repertoires live, clearly illustrating the connections between the opening, middlegame, and endgame. I am a lifetime member, and my only regret is that I did not have access to ChessMood when I was a child.

They have really amazing courses which are made only by Grandmasters which are explained really nicely, they have really nice blog in which you find many advises chess included but not only! I believe they also do they their best to grow their paltmost and their students ratings:) It is an amazing place and if you really take their advises and learn from courses your rating will grow and u get inspired and will have in addition lots of fun. Even though i did not follow all of their steps (probably like half of it) i still managed to climb from 1400 to 1600 in chesscom in crazy two weeks since i was obsessed with their courses at the beginning!

My son, now ten years old, has been a Chessmood member since 2022 (it's now March 2026)! I cannot speak highly enough about this company. The education is focused, well thought, and high quality. Literally years can be saved in one's chess education by simply following their guidance. Additionally, the access to the GMs, whether through 1-on-1 games and/or simuls, or during their student planning calls -- all of this is second to none! We even met the team when they visited NYC for a chess event. Beyond that, the "right mood, right mood" approach to learning and playing chess is very important, as it promotes a healthy attitude on and off the board. To top it off, their customer service is excellent; emails are responded to very quickly (and with lots of positive energy and emojis). My son is a lifetime member!

Chessmood is by far the best chess educational material I've ever come across, even as a fairly low rated player. Beside learning new (very fun) openings, I feel like I've understood more about chess in general than I hever had until then

I am a ProLife member from about 2 years

After a break of almost 45 years of having stopped playing ands learning more about chess, I thought it would be great to restart chess for my coming retirement around 2019. After trying many different offered chess learning websites and club training classes and etc etc,
around early 2022 I discovered chessmood and got immediately impressed by the way the courses were organised and different ideas and concepts were explained. Thus for a start I tried the 6 months pro membership and after about 2 years I used the proposed option for a lifetime membership. Great Value with lots of fun options and ongoing new classes and updates and on and on. Never regretted and will try to use it in the best way for the coming next years. Learning and improving with chessmood is fun around all the aspects of chess offered. (and while I feel that I understand much better today it will never end .. so what more does one want? Yes, a friendly helpful community of like minded people from all around the planet is also found with the additional offers in the forum discussion and life events and on an on. So yes give it a try and (use the sometimes great offers of monthly free tries etc etc) good luck for all.

With ChessMood, I got a complete chess course, coaching, aggressive opening system, detailed tactical/middlegame/endgame knowledge, chess player psychology, and life changing lessons in achieving the Right Mood (better ways to live life). I wish this was available 30 years ago, when I started chess. The money, time and frustration saved would have been invaluable. The Team at ChessMood has been very supportive on my chess improvement journey.

How can I describe two years of ChessMood in a few words?
They were brought to our attention in an email sent by English Chess Federation, when ChessMood had unlocked all their courses for their 6th anniversary; and it was love at first sight!

I’m a chess player (and coach) from Croatia. I was stuck at 2200 rating for about 8 years. No matter how much I trained or played, I just couldn’t break through that ceiling. I started to identify with this rating, thinking I'll be 2200 for the rest of my life and there's nothing I can do about it..

I joined ChessMood in July 2024 and honestly, it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I loved the structure of the lessons, it really helped. Instead of consuming random chess content, I finally felt like I was following a clear roadmap.

After working consistently with ChessMood courses, I broke 2300 and reached my current peak of about 2350. Breaking 2300 meant achieving my life goal of becoming a FIDE Master. Funnily enough, ChessMood actually helped me raise my standards and set even more ambitious goals after reaching this.

They even wrote an article about me as a success story, which meant a lot to me personally.

What was also great is that I had a chance to visit their HQ in Armenia (since I was playing a tournament there) and spent a day with them - and they’re exactly the same in real life as they are online. Passionate, ambitious and just fun people to hang out with. It felt like being around people who genuinely care about chess improvement.

ChessMood isn’t a magic pill. You still have to put in the work. But if you’re serious about improving and you want structure, clarity and a strong training culture, it can absolutely change your trajectory.

For me, it helped me break an 8-year plateau and achieve my life goal. I think that says enough.

I have been studying with ChessMood for over 3 years and love the people and content. I play 'over the board' chess in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire leagues. In November 2025 my rating improved by 40 points and in February 2026 my rating improved by a further 60 points. ChessMood has been critical in my development giving me a solid understanding of the game.

Chessmood is one of the best sources out there for my son's chess training, a 9 year old Belgian chess champion of u10. The courses are diverse and well divided - curated.

He was learning from youtube before but CM has both great instructors, and the quizzes in between. Practicing what he has learnt moved the needle a lot for him!

Chessmood is a great learning platform for Intermediate and up players. Their courses teach you everything from openings to endgames to psychological factors. Everything is highly detailed, yet still short enough so you are not watching 20 30 hour courses at a time. I highly recommend this to all chess players, especially those currently at a plateau.

The quality of the content is excellent! Tactics to strategy, openings to endgames and it all feels carefully made and thoughtfully structured.

What really won me over, though, was the support. Lily is genuinely one of the kindest people I’ve ever interacted with in customer service. Fast replies, patient explanations, and a level of care you don’t often see. She was extremely helpful and understanding, and it made the whole experience even better.
