My first ever ZAGREB Chess set from…
My first ever ZAGREB Chess set from Chessgammon is absolutely beautiful. I have waited many years to buy one and am so happy to have one. Zagreb is a style of Chess pieces whereby the Bishops are sans mouth (no mitre) and have opposite coloured crowns along with the King & Queen. I have always found the standard design of Bishop perverse in appearance and it has always distracted me from my studies. I can finally study passionately with sturdy, well balanced pieces. Chess pieces and board are well made and nicely finished / weighted. Board is likewise very well finished and a very well sized for the pieces. Delivery was 1 day as promised, and as discussed via the chat, both the delivery and chat were very good. very pleased throughout.

The backgammon board arrived promptly…
The backgammon board arrived promptly the next day even though we had the free 3 day service. The set, a 21 inch tournament board, was excellent quality and very good value for money. On the strength of this I will soon be ordering a further 6 boards for my club as we want to set up a Backgammon group.

My chess box on receiving was slightly damaged. On contacting Chessgammon Customer Service a replacement item was received undamaged, as ordered. The chess box is just the thing to safely store my wooden Staunton Chess pieces.

An absolutely lovely chess set
This set as listed as an economy range wooden chess set. Well I can't see what's economy about it. It's beautiful and well made with hand carved wooden pieces. It comes with a gorgeous ebonised black felt lined box to hold the pieces and the board is nice and heavy. It's a quality item, especially when I've seen what else is out there in the same price bracket. This will last me years and I love it every time I use it. Well worth the money. 5 out of 5.
