Creators Dishonest and Gaming the System
These creators are dishonest and this product is clearly defective, judging by the overwhelmingly negative feedback from KS backers. I cannot prove it but the positive reviews were likely paid for in a desperate attempt to make themselves look better. I saw the writing on the wall and told them I no longer wanted this product and to not send it to me. They never responded but objected when I tried to get my money back through my credit card company. The bottom line: I haven’t received my reward, a shipping notification or a refund — they simply kept my money; a clear case of fraud. However, in Kickstarter’s eyes, that’s the risk I took to support a project I believed in. The problem is that Cheeky misrepresented its product and hasn’t responded to persistent complaints about the quality of the toys that have been delivered or followed their own stated return policy. KS hasn’t responded either.

You initiated a dispute with your credit card company before receiving the product and without giving us a chance to resolve the issue. As a crowdfunding project, we rely on communication with our backers, and we were unable to address your concerns before that dispute was raised. We would have loved to assist you, but the situation was already in process with your card issuer.
If you no longer wish to receive the toys, we can certainly refund the shipping costs, but we are unable to reimburse the original pledge amount. You are correct that any refund for Kickstarter-related pledges needs to be addressed with them directly.
That being said, we invite you to reconsider, as many of our customers have been thrilled with the durability and quality of our products, and we believe you might be pleasantly surprised once you receive your toys. Our many genuine positive reviews from satisfied customers speak to the effectiveness of our toys.

Great toy for my dog…
I bought this for our 83 pound golden doodle 2 weimeraner mix and he loves it. He carries it around the house, plays tug of war with me and fetch. Even with some heavy pulling with tug of war, it has held up perfectly!! He loves it. Buy with confidence from Cheeky!!

This toy lasted less than half an hour, My cavapoo is not what you would call an aggressive chewer, or rough with her toys, but this is ridiculous for a company advertising a toy as "virtually indestructible"

Can I give this 0 stars? Avoid avoid avoid.
The toys did last longer than usual- 2 days for the koala, 1 day for the elephant, and 40 minutes for the whale, but definitely nowhere near what they claim. I asked for a warranty policy and they gave me the 10% off code they gave every Kickstarter backer.
They're running a campaign on indiegogo now.
This is very clearly a scam and they have absolutely no interest in having a good product. Don't waste your money.

A Super-durable Favorite
My four-year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix absolutely loves his Cheeky toys. He has all three (Elephant, Koala, and Whale). The materials are as durable as the manufacturer claims. The only weak point seems to be the stitching around Koala's neck. After a week, it began to separate, but I stitched it back up with a needle and thread, without any issues. Subsequent production runs could benefit from some reinforcement along this seam, as the two large components make it easier to apply more stress to this one.
This does not detract from our enjoyment of any of the toys, however. My dog's playmate, a 12-year old American Bull mix, who regularly destroys his toys in minutes when she visits, spent 20-30 minutes with Elephant without making a dent. I no longer have to hide his toys when she comes over.
I must add that ALL of the squeakers are still functioning, and they have been playing with them for about a month and a half (arrived end of March 2025). Once again, we love these toys and would recommend them to anyone looking for a durable, long-lasting favorite for their furry friends. We look forward to seeing what comes next.

Toy is good, but varying quality
The elephant toy's body appears to be withstanding my dog's play so far, but the tail is already starting to tear off after 3 days. Also, a lot of people from Kickstarter complained about the toy falling apart after 10 minutes so it seythe quality of each toy varies wildly

Poor quality considering the marketing
The way the toys are marketed I thought they would be brilliant for my mini dachshund who destroys every toy quickly. The elephant lasted half an hour before he got in to the eye part and took the fluff out. I emailed customer services and they thanked me for their feedback but offered no replacement or refund for the £13 toy.

I totally understand it could be down to my dogs playstyle if it didn't last for week or even a few days, but within half an hour is ridiculous to even suggest that it's down to the dog and not down to very poor construction of a £13 toy.

Great but not perfect
Honestly I wasn't expecting a miracle, given that I have a bully breed. The toy is great, somehow it gets less slobbery than the regular stuffed ones, which is honestly great. My dog did manage to chew through one ear in the first 30 minutes though, to the expense of her bleeding gums... But she would chew through a rock if I'd let her

Disappointed. Not As Durable As Promised
We were hopeful when we bought the Cheeky plush toy, especially since it was advertised as "indestructible." Unfortunately, it didn't live up to that promise. First impressions weren't great. The toy came in just a plain plastic bag, which felt cheap and very "made-in-China." No branding, no real packaging, just tossed in like an afterthought.
Our Golden Retriever loved the toy, but within less than two weeks, it was in pieces. For something marketed as heavy-duty or tough, that’s really disappointing. It might be fine for smaller or less enthusiastic chewers, but if your dog actually plays rough, this probably won’t last.
Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for something truly durable. Back to the drawing board for us.

I was kept informed throughout the…
I was kept informed throughout the whole process and never felt left out. I felt like I was an investor in the toys that my dogs are already playing with. We received them yesterday and I couldn't believe how soft they are. Usually "indestructible" toys are hard and most dogs won't play with them. That is not the case with these.

Nice big toys, so far haven't been destroyed, even the squeaker is still squeaking. It's still early days though, so time will tell if they are as strong as advertised. Have dropped one star as the company name in such large font on the front of the toys looks a bit naff.
