Supervisory staff up to and including…
Supervisory staff up to and including Shift Supervisor Level are fantastic, experienced, knowledgeable and friendly. The facilities are great for children of various ages. The location is great directly in the town centre. What isn't great is Manager Level and above, this is a 'for profit' childrens service provision and prices are not cheap, £60/ 1 hour is a huge ask for working parents in a cost of living crisis, however, businesses like this are profiting at the demise of the children they are there to support. I'd loved nothing more than to stay all day with my kids, financially this isnt possible if I wanted to keep a place to live and be able to eat, so seeing my children once a week for 1 hour, all I could afford sustainably, then to have to say goodbye with the children in tears at times, was heartbreaking. Even more so when the centre manager began interfering with sessions, demanding I must not take my kids to the toilet because "she would do it" despite the kids not wanting that or that happening with any other staff. Trust is key in any relationship be it friends/family/a working agreement - sadly management and ownership of CFCS LTD destroyed that trust. Further, they were unable to provide assurances over their service provision post Apr 26 despite advertising these services via Regulatory body NACCC, with several written attemps to seek assurance they could continue to meet the customers requirement ownership simply chose not to respond. Sadly, where profit is involved integrity, honesty and decency can get lost in the system, which has happened here. Some big positive points here, the staff are friendly and supportive, facilities great, management I'd struggle to find a good word to say and I wouldn't trust 2 of the 3 of manager/owners in the slightest. These services should not be allowed to be privately ran as 'for profit' - cost barriers work against the best wishes of the child. Without doubt these services should be local authority ran and kept in house. Our children deserve better.
