Dangerous Store and misogynistic Company Centrepoint

To everyone planning to visit the Centrepoint store in Dubai – don’t do it and don’t risk your life and health! Safety in these stores is not guaranteed! As a woman, you will be humiliated and disrespected by male employees.

In the summer of 2025, I was in the Centrepoint store in the Mall of the Emirates, where I slipped on a plastic sign that was lying on the floor and was seriously injured. I was on vacation with my underage son, and both of us have been traumatized by what happened.

When I slipped, I lost consciousness for a moment. My son didn’t know what to do. Employees quickly gathered around me and called an ambulance, as I was unable to stand up and in severe pain. My son called his aunt in Germany because he was in shock. She calmed him down and told him not to leave my side and to take pictures of everything.

At the hospital, I underwent examinations for hours before we finally returned to the hotel. Needless to say, the vacation was ruined. My son took care of me — and Centrepoint? They did nothing at all. They didn’t care what happened to the customer who got injured because the company failed to ensure proper safety in their store.

I later contacted the store manager at Centrepoint, but he wasn’t interested in talking to me. I had hospital bills of nearly €1,000, which I had to pay myself. Despite being in severe pain and on a higher dose of pain medication, I decided to go back to the mall with my son to find out who was responsible.

At Centrepoint, I demanded to speak with the unfriendly manager. He arrived with two other men, which made us feel very scared. Why did he need to bring two others with him? We were terrified, but I introduced myself and asked for their names. None of them were willing to give their names, and they were rude and condescending toward us.

We left the store and sought out the manager of the Mall of the Emirates, Mr. Mohammad. He was so kind, polite, and helpful that for a brief moment, our fear disappeared. I told him about my accident and how disorganized and disrespectful the Centrepoint staff had been. He made a call, and within minutes, the three Centrepoint employees were in his office.

Still, none of them would tell me their names, and the conversation remained disrespectful toward me and my son. Mr. Mohammad himself couldn’t understand why they refused to identify themselves. He explained to them that when you start a conversation, the first thing you should do is introduce yourself — but then a new name came up: Mr. F.P., the insurance representative for the Landmark Group.

I then spoke with Mr. F.P. on the phone. He repeatedly blamed me for not seeing the plastic sign and was also unfriendly. He was supposed to be my contact person and asked me to send him the hospital invoices, which he said would be reimbursed immediately.

When I did that, he demanded that I sign a statement declaring that I would not make any further claims against Centrepoint. I told him that I was unwell and would have to see a doctor as soon as I returned to Germany, so I could not sign such a document.

Now, about three months later, I still haven’t received the reimbursement for the hospital costs — nor any form of compensation. I sent all my medical certificates to Mr. F.P., but he refuses to tell me who exactly is responsible for my case. He claims he’s forwarding my letters to some “confidential person.”

I have now demanded a specific compensation amount and have been waiting for two weeks for a response.

Dear people, avoid all Centrepoint stores! It is a dangerous place!

I will keep you updated on how the issue regarding my claim with the inhumane and misogynistic company Centrepoint will be resolved.

Can you rate something 0 stars?

This company offers zero customer service, I haven't even made a purchase yet, I called their helpdesk to ask if an item was in stock at a particular store, only to be told to message their instagram account and they would respond in less than an hour, which I found odd but I did it anyway. This just resulted in a notification that their instangram is unable to receive messages. When I called again I was told "they currently have a problem with checking stock at stores but they are fixing it", so I asked when I should call back, today, tomorrow, next week? Her response... in a month. She then corrected to say they are not actually fixing it, they are working to build that capability.
She said there was no way to call the store directly to ask them and that I should go in, but this is why I was calling in the first place, so I don't have to waste my time going in to the store to find it isn't there!

The Worst Experience of My Life

The Worst Experience of My Life – Please Don’t Ever Use Their Service

I ordered a suit on Thursday, 11th Sept 2025 at 4 PM because I had my final job interview the next morning at 9 AM. The app showed “Arriving Today” so I trusted them.

At night they told me I would get it before 8 AM Friday morning, but when I called in the morning they said it’s “out for delivery.” Till now, I never received it. They refused to give me the delivery guy’s number or even tell me where my product was. From yesterday they kept saying “it will be delivered soon.”

I called their customer care more than 15 times, begged them to help me, even cried on the phone asking if I could go and collect it myself – but they never gave me any solution. They just kept skipping my situation like it was nothing.

This is not just a late delivery. This was my dream opportunity after 3+ months of being jobless. I didn’t even have the full money to pay, still I managed it using Tabby because that job interview was that important for me. I was waiting for this chance for 2 years, and because of their careless team, I lost it.

I really suggest everyone: please, please, please don’t use their service – not online, not offline. They are the worst team I ever dealt with.

This is not just bad service. This is destroying a customer’s trust, money, and life opportunity.

This online store is quite terrible!

This online store has a terrible service. I purchase 4 items but upon delivery 1 item was missing. I contacted the customer service but it seems you are talking to a bunch of morons. the ending? They refunded it but credited to Shukran points, to obtain the shit you have to deal with them again and pay for the delivery charge cause it didn't meet the required amount to avail free delivery...and now the points is rotten cause i don't want to deal with them again! it seems a scam!

Poor packing

Poor packing

"One of my worst online shopping experiences. I recently bought a suit set, and it arrived in terrible packaging. It was poorly folded, and the jacket was completely out of shape. I tried reaching out to the team, but they couldn’t help since it was an online purchase. Based on my experience, I would not recommend online shopping at all – the service was extremely disappointing."

Centrepoint Helpdesk cant Help

i tried to call Centrepoint Helpdesk. take note that is "Helpdesk". 8006927 around 4:08 pm i guess. The agent who answers my call was a Lady. at first I asked her if there is an available wave luggage bag in dubai mall, however she cant answer me if there is.
so I asked if there is a direct number so we can ask it by our end, unfortunatelty she said there dont have.. then i ask if there is a promotion in dubai mall, she said nothing.
so whats my point of this sharing. it literally not helpful. very disappointing.

Poor delivery service

I placed an order through the app, and the delivery was supposedly made to my showroom doorstep, which was closed due to the public holiday. However, the only proof provided was a picture of my showroom—with no evidence of the actual packages.

I did not receive a call or a WhatsApp message regarding the delivery. The only communication I received was a delivery confirmation text for an item I never received.

This is now the third time I’m following up on my complaint, yet each time I call, I am told to wait 24–48 hours while the issue is being resolved. This repeated response, without any actual resolution, has been extremely frustrating.

Based on this experience, I will not be ordering from your service again

Very Disappointed

Very Disappointed – Defective Product and Zero Support

I purchased an item from Centrepoint that was originally listed at AED 499 and paid AED 173 after discount. The product was defective from the very first use, and when I contacted customer service, I received no meaningful response or resolution at all—not even an offer for exchange or refund.

It’s shocking that a reputable brand would treat a long-time customer this way. I’ve followed all the procedures and clearly explained the issue, yet I’ve been completely ignored. This raises serious concerns about product quality and customer care.

If this is how Centrepoint handles defective items, then I’d seriously question the value of shopping here again. Extremely disappointing experience.
