Very bad customers services

Customers can only contact us by phone, but this involves extremely long wait times. Services at Cembra Money Bank are generally very slow and tedious. It seems that everything there is still done manually and with paper, the old-fashioned way. Such services are a no-go these days.

I wish I had read these reviews before…

I wish I had read these reviews before signing my car lease contract with Cembra, which was arranged through a car dealership. I should have sensed something was wrong when they increased the interest rate by one percentage point just before signing the contract—the day after we reached an agreement. But I ignored those warnings, and now I regret it.

All the one-star reviews are accurate.

- If you have a question, or, worse, a problem, you're in trouble.
- They don't want to talk to you. Their phone lines are constantly busy.
- They don't respond to emails. They receive and read them, but there's no reply. (I only learned they received my email when they mentioned it during a phone conversation after my call miraculously got answered.)
- They have no intention of helping you. Their only motivation is to dismiss your requests by citing arbitrary rules. For example, I needed proof of TVA payment. They said they couldn't provide any documents because I live in Geneva, not Lausanne—as if the rules differ based on location.
- They are formal and rude. The phone operator hung up on me, clearly showing she wasn't interested in answering my questions.

Terrible customer service. I will never do business with them again.

Very very bad service

Very very bad service, very bad customer support, not updating the clients, just sending reminders for nothing. You are loosing time explaining that you returned the order, but they don't care nor read, just ignoring and sending some stupid and nonsense templates.Better not have anything to do with.

I’m extremely disappointed with…

I’m extremely disappointed with Cembra’s customer service and their payment protection insurance process. Out of curiosity, I unintentionally enabled on of the insurance in their app, with no confirmation or signature required. However, canceling it is a nightmare. I was forced to send a physical termination letter, only to be told after waiting on hold for an hour that they never received it. Conveniently, they received other letters I sent, just not the one canceling the insurance.

To make matters worse, the email address customer service gave me doesn’t even work. Why does Cembra make it so easy to sign up but so difficult to cancel? This feels intentional and predatory.

If you’re considering their services, think twice. I’m now stuck dealing with unnecessary fees and wasted hours.

Cembra, I demand you cancel my insurance immediately and refund all associated costs.

Cembra is the worst thief

Cembra is the worst, they had me pay an invoice twice and charged late fees, for a bill that I did pay on time, for which I sent the payment proof, but pretext was that they account for payments in chronological order vs. according to invoice numbers - which is completely bonkers. They added the late fees while we were in discussion about this particular bill, which is also so dishonest.
I am outraged and exchanging with them by e-mail is like talking to a bot, which only repeats the same sentences. When trying to call, the person was conveniently not available.
100% NOT recommended, this is purely scandalous.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience, start to finish, spent hours on the phone and nobody can provide a straight answer. Ultimate insult, it is your fault you don’t speak our language, yet they advertise clearly on their website the many languages they work in. Avoid at all cost!

run, this is plague

There are a few things in life that you regret bitterly; well accepting the partnership from Fnac Bel Air and Cembra was one of them.
I have never received such an insane amount of payment request from a credit card company; without explanations and with so low level of transparency.

Senior being ripped off

My mum is customer and she fell for a phishingmail that came right after the installation of the app failed. She is over 80 and got so confused about it she thought the mail was real. The scammers managed to rip off almost 5k with her credit card and now my mum has to pay it. Cembra wont even agree to a discount and has been totally useless.

This institution has some sorted of a…mafia

This institution has some sorted of a mafia system. They say then send invoices once a month. I’ve been paying every month invoices that I already paid before. And they don’t know how to solve that. How come you pay something multiple times and they don’t keep records of that?

Fantastically crap customer service

Fantastically crap customer service. Like unreal. never received my payslips for 2024 for my car. then I get a reminder letter with 100 francs in penalty. Called them back, after waiting in 30 min. Then in incomprehensible french, they said I should pay like before. Shouted at me we dont send payment slips anymore.

Seriously cannot wait until leasing period is over. NEVER ever CEMBRA again crap

stay away, unethical , greedy company, One star is too much

One star is too much. 135.- sfr for a card per year?you get 4 cards for 120.- with miles & more per year.
Now they have abolished the online possibilty of checking your card and have simultaneously introduced a fee of 5.- sfr for any phone request you make (you have to now seeing that they ditched the online access to your account). Appalling company. Stay away.

Cembra doesn't care about its…

Cembra doesn't care about its customers, main thing is their benefit. If you're in huge trouble as you unfortunately became victim of a seemingly trustworthy phishing attack, they leave you in that desaster. Not only that they seem to have absolutely lousy, antediluvian technical security measures which do not recognize if you get robbed, potentially multiply, but they also refuse to have any responsibility towards their customers. They reject any refunds and answer you in a (AI-generated?) generic way ignoring your arguments. Forget this company and join Visa card.
