Had an unforgettable evening kayaking down the River Tyne! The experience was incredible from start to finish. We paddled beneath the iconic bridges while our instructors shared fascinating bits of history about each one in a relaxed, informal way — it really added something special to the trip.

The instructors were fantastic: friendly, helpful, and made sure we felt safe the entire time. All the safety equipment was provided, and there was even a secure place to store our belongings.

Although I brought my phone, I didn’t need to use it — the instructors took plenty of great photos throughout the session, so we could just focus on enjoying the moment.

I’d highly recommend this experience to anyone, and I’m already thinking about doing it again in the future!

Fantastic afternoon kayaking on the River Tyne at sunset.
We were taken under all the iconic bridges and saw the river and quaysides from both sides.
The instructors were so friendly, patient and informative and I felt completely safe throughout the two hour trip.
We didn't need to have kayaked before as instruction was given but you do need to be a minimum age and be able to swim a certain distance (all details are provided on the website)
All safety gear was provided, as well as a secure place to store belongings.
Photos were taken throughout the trip and sent to us the next day.
Just a fantastic experience and many thanks to all involved!

I recently purchased 2 Tootega canoes with all of the associated equipment. The staff at CBK were super helpful, friendly and had loads of time for us. Simon in particular provided excellent advice, not just about our purchases, but about general canoeing safety information and how to get back into the sport after many years out of it.

nice product but slow to come and poor communication. Wanted initially to convert an experience voucher to store credits, which took a month to do. During this time nobody contacted me, then when I called they informed it was due to staff illness. When the credits finally came I ordered a bag which they didn't have in stock, nobody contacted to let me know. A week after I ordered, I called to find out that it wasn't in stock. The guy was lovely on the phone and very apologetic for not having contacted. He said he'd leave a note to say to call me when it arrived to give me the option to pick it up. I never got that call, so I called up and found out the bag would be sent out that day. I eventually went to pick it up. Lovely product and nice staff, just the whole process was a bit of a nightmare.

I was looking for a specific make of beanie hat and this was a good selection at the best price. Nice touch with the hand written note on the delivery slip. Delivery took a bit of time but that was down to the postal strike and nothing to do with CBK.
