The owner is a disgusting person

The owner is a disgusting person. She has no care for the animals or other people. Instantly rude to me and my family. Called us "cringe". I hope this organisation gets shut down. Don't do anything to support these people

Amazing organisation!!

Amazing organisation!!

I fostered and then adopted my gorgeous girl 9 years ago from CH. I love what this organisation does, and I am grateful that they are the reason I have my little lady in my life today. I now donate monthly and drop food/towels/etc. when I can. I am fiercely supportive of this organisation! I have NO affiliation to them - aside from the cat I adopted from them.

On that note, I want to highlight that the review left by Kyla below is a complete fabrication. Cat Haven has explicitly stated that the allegations were defended in multiple court actions, including at trial, with all cases being dismissed.

I have seen Kyla's smear campaign all over Facebook. When I began to post comments in response to her posts, to question the facts of her claims (a couple of examples below), she blocked me.

- One of the TWO photos she is sharing has been edited using a free online photo editing tool
- My camera roll is basically 90% photos of my cat, or of me with my cat. When asked, Kyla could not provide any other photos of 'Olivia' or of her and 'Olivia' together

Kyla's claims are baseless, and simply untrue. All claims were legally dismissed accordingly.

Please do not allow this unhinged human to alter your view of Cat Haven WA. They are a beloved Perth organisation who do incredible things for our community.

Kyla is taking precious time, money, and resources away from Cat Haven while they are being forced to focus on her drama instead of on what they do best - rescuing and saving precious cats from otherwise uncertain futures. She is impacting the lives of others in negative and unnecessary ways. The stress and emotional toll would surely be exhausting.

Her story grows as she adds new layers that she's not previously shared. While she may very well have had a poor experience relating to her cat, it certainly was not caused by, exacerbated by, prolonged by, etc. Cat Haven. All accusations, cases and trials were dismissed. She is telling lies, and it is unfairly damaging to the exceptional reputation of this wonderful Not for Profit organisation.

Please do not allow this fabricated review sway your opinion.

Awful rehoming company

Awful rehoming company, Avoid if you care about your animals. My relative rehomed her cat with this company after suddenly losing her husband and had to relocate back to the UK with her daughter. Cat Haven posted on Facebook that the original owners didn’t want her to possible gain pity for the animal and the nasty comments that followed were read by the daughter who is 8yrs old. They are so sad they chose to rehome their beloved pet with CatHaven Wa. They clearly pretend to care about animals.

Why doesn't MY CAT Matter?!

It's NO lost and found service!

* I met another client of Belmont Vets who has been called from Vets miles away that they have his dog while his dog is at home.*

My cat got lost after escaping her enclosure on March. Someone recognized my cat from the posters and sent me a picture of my cat from Cat Haven FB page.

Cat Haven WA has refused to acknowledge my ownership of my cat after some one brought her in there around May first.
I have found enough errors from the microchip papers and evidence to prove that she is mine, including identifying her in person as well as the secondary contact identifying her from her photo on Cat Havens lost cat page.
I have also emailed them many times trying to sort this out and I have provided a statutory declaration, a sworn affidavit and council registration to them, as well as pleading every day by email that they allow me to take her home and into the care of my vet.

I was told repeatedly by Cat Haven that I could adopt her on the 8th of May after the mandatory hold period.
On the very day I was told I could go there and adopt her, the CEO rang me and said my cat had came in with a serious tail injury and she needed surgery and that I would have to wait until she "hopefully recovers" (CEOs words) before they would allow me to adopt her. This news was devastating and I was distraught.
I was again promised repeatedly that I still had the first option to adopt her.

Cat Haven has refused to let me see her again after May 3rd or allow me to foster her during her recovery, even though I was told by email and verbally that I have the first option to adopt her.
I have offered to pay cat haven for all of her medical treatment if they let me take her and I was again refused.
What kind of charity turns down money while denying me the right to look after my own cat???

I have reason to believe that her equine nerves won't heal properly because of the stress, as she had a tail amputation. If that happens, she could be incontinent with no bladder control and MAY BE PUT DOWN as unsuitable for adoption.
This is one of the main reasons that I have been so insistant to get her home after her surgery, because of this fear. I told Cat Haven that this was my very worrying concern and that I would take her to a specialist vet for more treatments.

On June 4th, I was sent a letter from the chairman to say that my option to adopt my cat had been revoked and cited this 1 star review as one of their reasons as well as my continued insistance that
she is my cat..
Cat Haven has taken an aggressive stance towards me since day one and treated me like I'm a liar.
I have been continually gas lit that she is not my cat, which has and is, taking a huge toll on my mental and physical health.

I cant eat or sleep and I have lost around 10 kilos on my already slim frame.
I have chronic illnesses.
Last year I was sick for 3 months and couldn't get out of bed for 3 weeks. With no family to lean on, my cat was the only company and solace that I had during that time and if I didn't have her to look after, my suicidal thoughts might very well have taken over.
I cant eat or sleep and my Doctor has diagnosed trauma and my blood pressure as 'bad'. I have never had problems with my blood pressure before.
If I lose my cat, I have nothing else to lose.
My cat has a loving home and access to the best medical treatment available, if only they would release my beloved cat to me.
I just don't understand why they would do this.
And then I found the article link below.

I would never have believed in a thousand years that Cat Haven would put someone like me through this.
Put yourself in my shoes, if you can.
What would you do if this happened to your pet?
Would you give up?
Would you let anyone bully you when you stand up for yourself and your pet?
Would you allow yourself to be gaslit that it isn't your pet?

Or would you fight every day and do everything you could to right the injustice and bring your pet home.

Doing good, but very arogant and nasty when anyone is giving feed back or correct them, they are Right

I recently comment on a wrong advice and their post, as they was telling people to give little food to cats and scan them to vet. Not all vets scan animals, and isn't ok to give such advice. Cats get friendlier if yiu feed them. Not all cats with owners are ok with their owner, not all ill be easy to catch to take to a vet, and mean time nobody should let an animal starving as help reunion. I was concern people might follow a wrong advice.
They remove all coments they don't like, are rude, and prety nasty comments. As they didn't like my corrections on their post, they start attacking me that I haven't desexes one of 3 cats I saves a couple of years ago. They comment on a missing cat previous post. Thats a basty attitude and lack of context Was During the pandemic, lock down, couldn't keep this cat locked, he escape from everywhere, I canceled 2-3 appointments .... quite nasty comments considering they don't know the situation and was attacking me as they don'thandlewell any comments that aren't agreeing with their view.....I'm doing everything from my own money,
not donations. Definitely lots of personal issues going on. Keep being nasty instead of focusing on the topic and considering that they advice can be wrong and can cause harm to animals. I believe are doing well, want the best for animals but definitely a wrong attitude and unpleasant interaction.
I believe we all come across such Facebook people who believe they are right and attack anyone who have a different view without even considering. Their ego, being right is more important than the harmnttey can do with wrong advice.
I saved a diabetic cat, saved and rehome a lots of kittens, treat heart issue and kidney failure. Not all successful but I have some experience in straight cats, finding a cat, and educate a bully straight cat in accepting others, and many more. My advice was to focus on whats best for the animals, not that we as owners are worrying, feel guilty or...
Very disappointing attitude.

cats are well behaved

I recently went there to adopt a pet, it's a good place to adopt a pet cat (W.A.) and generally the cats there are well-behaved. it is a bit smelly and most of the time (other than kitten season) there aren't a lot of kittens to choose from compared to adults. They seem to enjoy being petted but the adult cats hide in their litter tray to avoid us.
