Saw Mr Ursell at Ashtead Hospital, the procedure was quick and effective, I am no longer wearing glasses for reading and distance, his expertise and friendly manner made it very easy for me to go ahead with surgery. I would definitely recommend himself and all the team.

I had my initial consultation with Paul at the beginning of February and 8 weeks, 2 operations, 2 toric multi focal implants, and 350 eye drops later I could throw away my glasses and see everything a lot clearer both for distance and reading. I can only agree with many other comments here about Paul and the whole procedure; he explains all the benefits, risks and the process in a clear and calm way, the operation only takes a few minutes (more time is spent preparing beforehand and tidying up afterwards) and then you walk away to enjoy a sandwich and a cup of tea! (Parkside hospital and their staff were wonderful!).I had been wearing varifocal spectacles for a long time and in the two weeks between the two operations it was rather strange with such differing eye sight but after the second one everything improved rapidly.I have no hesitation in recommending Paul, he was excellent throughout.

I had cataracts removed from both eyes by Professor Paul Ursell. I was extremely nervous beforehand as am an artist and seeing is everything but Mr Ursell patiently explained the procedure before and during the operation and his gentle but very experienced manner put me at my ease throughout the whole procedure making me feel totally confident in his ability and knowledge. He is professional, exudes experience and gave me the exact eyesight I asked for. I am very happy with the result and can now see clearly for the first time in years! I saw Professor Paul Ursell at Parkside Hospital for an initial consultationa couple of weeks later he replaced my right cataract and 2 weeks later my left. The operation was quick and painless and quite relaxing. The whole procedure took 15 minutes. I had no post-operative discomfort at all. The end result is incredible. I had previously had laser surgery so we wasn't sure how precise we could get it. I am now glasses free, even for reading. I had Vivitv lens.

I contacted Peof Paul Ursell and was seen the very next week after an online consultation for an assessment as to my needs. From then onwards, everything happened quickly and smoothly, with both eyes operated on with follow ups and reassurance given as and when I could attend. I travelled from East Kent to Wimbledon so it was important that I could rely on times and promptness for all appointments. I am very grateful to all the help and straightforward advice given for aftercare for my eyes and the fact that I was able to speak directly to Paul when something bothered me which I wasn't sure about. Would recommend Paul and his team to anyone looking to get their cataracts and lens done.

The whole process was as described in the literature and by Paul Ursell. It was simple, painless and everyone was very caring. I am delighted to have had my cataracts removed and lens implants. No more contact lenses, which is wonderful! Thank you Paul.

Any medical procedure causes anxiety, the more so when eyes are involved. Let me reassure you that the whole process was seamless, there was absolutely no pain and all I saw was a bright light. It was well worth a delay of two weeks between the procedures for each eye as Prof Ursell was able to provide me with the future vision I required. I'm delighted with the result.

I saw Professor Ursell in Ashtead Hospital for an initial consultation and 8 days later he replaced the cataracts in both my eyes. The operation was quick and painless, and I had no post-operative discomfort at all (which surprised me). The results are remarkable. Before I was very short-sighted and my cataracts badly affected both reading and distance acuity. After the operation I now have very good distance vision (glasses-free) but still need glasses for reading. (This was the expected outcome as I did not want multi-focus implants.)

The cataract surgery I have just had has completely changed my life, as having lost most of the sight in one eye because of a severe retinal detachment it was becoming a problem with a cataract in the good eye.
