Having to add to the negative reviews here as there is seemingly no way otherwise to get in touch with the company.
Received a voucher as a holiday gift from work activated it and the balance was shown online. Went to use it instore and had a 0 balance (embarrassing) and then looking for who to contact to get this amended leads you down a rabbithole of nothingness

Total scam!! Unbeknowst to me I purchase a Cinimark gift card through Cashstar.Com for a family member. I gave the person's name receiving the gift and was told I would receive a link to forward the card. I was never sent the kink. If there was a limk required why wasn't it provided when the confirmed the sale.

Instead they canceled all cards including ecards that were actually received but not used yet. What an awful way to do business.

Ordered gift cards for cinemark on 12/1 charged on 12/3 and still no gift cards. I selected physical cards for a 5 & 6 year old because they like to have them in their hands. Many phone calls to cinemark and CashStar. Was told yesterday I should get them by 12/23!!??!! We will see. Not sure there’s
any hope for a refund.

Bought a PlayStation digital card. It took about 3 hours of it being stuck in ‘processing’ for me to shop elsewhere and request to cancel. (Shortly after getting a ‘your order could not be completed and we can’t tell you why’) In the mean time I bought another card of the same from Best Buy and got it within a few minutes. This is an inferior service and I’m shocked PlayStation uses it as their go to provider.

I purchased a Home Goods gift card for $50 on 9/19/25 that was to be mailed to the recipient. The card was never sent and I have been contacting these people for almost 3 months now asking for a refund. They have repeatedly assured me that the issue would be addressed but they don’t do anything so I have to start all over again. Don’t buy anything from these people because you will never get what you paid for and you can’t get a refund either.

I accidentally ordered a snapchat 29.99 E-card card. Cash star is refusing to give me a refund. There is a link provided to redeem the gift card and I never pressed the link. I also emailed a photo showing proof that I never redeemed the e-gift card. It would be shown on their end if I did. My advice is to stay far away from this company. They will steal your money. There is a reason they have a 1.3/5 stars.

I have recently gone on maternity leave and was kindly gifted an BOOTS e-gift card from my US/UK colleagues for £250. I recently went to use the gift card for some nappies and formula, and the card doesn’t work due to validation issues. I have reached out to BOOTS who said it is with Cash Star. I have filled in an online form and still waiting for someone to come back to me. It is so disappointing that a thoughtful gift that would be useful around Christmas time whilst on maternity cannot be used

16th of December 2025 - Terrible service. Order 2 gifts cards for PlayStation at €60 each for a Christmas present and was told I’d be provided a link. Instead I got charged, and received no indication that I even purchased them, only knowing I got charged by Cashstar via the charge of €120 under Sony gift card. Very disappointed and if I don’t receive what I paid for or a refund I will absolutely be doing a charge back despite the consequence of being blacklisted from psn.
17th of December 2025 - The reply they left is a lie and I have not received any email or a refund as of now.

After redeeming the giftcard itself on cashstars website, I used the credit to buy a £30 boots card. Cashstar then gave me a website link instead of a code number and didn’t give me a security code. The website link apparently doesn’t exist when I try to use it and boots customer service says it out of their hands. Such a Scam and waste of time

I've been talking to "Customer Support" for 3 days. I've sent 8 emails asking for a voucher to be re-allocated to a different email address. Every single time they claim the voucher has been updated, but it fails to work with an identical problem.
The emails are definitely AI generated, no human is involved with the process, I'm unable to request a refund and I'm unable to get a resolution to my problem.
My money is as good as stolen at this point and the company are the biggest scam going. I will be filing a small claims court challenge shortly.
Edit 14/12/2025 - we are up to 12 emails now, the same problem persists. Unable to redeem the gift card, customer support claiming they've solved the issue and being refused a refund. Small claims court action starting if not resolved in the next 3 days.

Bought Odeon gift cards for my own use on Black Friday (26th Nov)
Card is not accessible via the link Cashstar sent me.
Repeatedly get this error message:
That challenge attempt failed. Please try again.
Have checked and double checked that I am inputting the correct email address - I am.
Have contacted Cashstar 3 times over 6 days via the customer support link on their website - no answer.
No phone number to contact them.
Odeon have said they will chase it up, but have not got back to me.
It's terrible service and I will never use them again.
I will keep going on at them until I can use these gift cards and use them asap so I no longer have to deal with this company.

I spent a total of $30 on Roblox Gift Cards or £22 (because I reside in the UK) and my friends say they cannot view the link that i've sent to them because it says Page Not Found, so I tried going on the link myself and it said the same thing, i've sent an inquiry to Customer Support more than half a day ago and still no response, and calling has made it all the more difficult especially because i'm in the UK.

Received a usual promotional e-mail from a restaurant which I have a rewards card for (Sizzling Pubs). They were promoting a discount on gift cards so I went through the steps to purchase an e-gift card but received no order confirmation or the e-gift card itself as I arranged to have it directly sent to me.
I submitted a customer enquiry via the form on the site but not heard back so called customer services today (0331 630 5409) and spoke to Sam. He asked for some details but could not track my order and did not offer any alternative to try and help. Just kept reverting back to "I am unable to locate your order m'am". When I asked how I could escalate this, I was told to refer to the website. I confirmed I already submitted a form and calling was my only option left so I've now had to raise a dispute with my bank to try and get my money back!

This evening, I purchased a gift card via Hotels.com and it directed me to page to get this gift card.
I have completed the order, and I still have not recieved anything though via email or via the portal.
I have tried to sign in, but when I do this, I get no email and no link comes through.
I am very concerned that this is a scam and don't know what to do now.
Please can someone help regarding this, I have tried "Live help" but this does not work at all.
I have sent a customer service message, but still nothing.
