I have had a great experience with CashApp! However a few questions remain. 1. Why is it able to only one linked bank account? This ties my hands at times. 2. After reading the review summary, I’m... See more

Easy to use and efficient! The card that comes with it is very useful and allows for easy payment at businesses both online and in-store.

Cash App not loyal to the people who have been loyal to them they lie and claim every issue is the system doing and they refuse to do anything about it even their loyal customers

Cash app totally sucks! They have closed my account twice saying I violated terms... I used my cash app on a site that only accepted payment through cash app (it was a social gaming site) and teju only way to get paid out was through cash app. So tell me what I did wrong for using their platform when that's all that site had to offer!?!?!

Cash App needs to be held accountable for misleading promotional practices. I recently received an email from Cash App encouraging parents to open a Teen Account for kids ages 6–12, with a clear statement that activating the teen card before September 1st would qualify for a $30 reward.
I followed the instructions exactly. I opened the account for my 10‑year‑old daughter and activated her teen card well before the stated deadline. When I contacted Cash App to confirm the promotion, I was told we were “not in the time frame” and that the promotion supposedly ran August 3rd through September 30th — information that was never included in the email they sent me.
This is unacceptable.
• The promotional email did not mention any August 3rd start date.
• It did not mention any September 30th end date.
• It clearly stated activation before September 1st to receive the $30.
• Cash App’s support contradicted their own written promotion and refused to honor it.
This feels deceptive and intentionally confusing. If Cash App is going to advertise promotions to families, they need to ensure the terms are accurate, consistent, and honored. As it stands, their teen promotion was misleading, poorly communicated, and ultimately denied despite following the instructions provided.
I will be reconsidering my use of Cash App moving forward, and I strongly advise others to read every promotion carefully — because Cash App clearly does not stand behind the offers they send out. Kids between 6 and 12 can now have managed Cash App accounts, with Cash balance, Cash App Visa® Card, and savings.** They don’t get access to the app—only parents use the app and manage the account.
If you open an account for your kid and activate their Cash App Visa® Card by September 30, we'll add $30 to their Cash balance. They can spend the money on books, supplies, or lunch this school year, and you can track their spending from your phone.

I downloaded Cash App about 2 months ago and used it twice once to send cash to a friend and once to receive cash from a friend. Friday I was driving to work and checking my bank account when all the sudden I was getting spammed with fund requests from Cash App. I actively saw two $500 withdrawals pending on my account with two different names. I immediately called my banks fraud department to turn off my debit card. Unfortunately, because the transactions were still pending there was nothing they could do to stop the transactions. Saturday when the transactions went through I immediately called my bank to start the fraud investigation. It’s been since Friday and my money is gone and my account is in the negative. I contacted Cash App immediately as well and they are “looking into it.” I want to warn people because it’s extremely scary when someone can simply hack into your account and drain it within seconds. Although I have never had a problem with Venmo in the 2 years I have had it, I immediately closed both accounts. Now I have to wait 7-10 business days for any type of resolution as well as any overdraft fees that I might accrue.

On August the 3, 2026, Cash App went into my bank account and withdrew money from it without my authorization. I confirmed my account with my branch manager.
I phoned Cash App immediately and I spoke with several people who worked there and with no prevail nothing was resolved.
I contacted the police department and took out a complaint against them. I will also contact other agencies that protect customers from these fraudulent transactions.
I have closed down my account with them because of their running scams on their behalf. Beware of Cash App scam.

I had been using Cash app for a while to receive payments from customers. I work in the buy sell and trade sports collectibles, and they deactivated my account saying that I violated their terms or something. I try to talk to somebody to see what I did wrong and nobody could come up with an answer they just keep telling me the same thing and then I will never be able to use my account. I use Venmo now and I’ve never had a problem with them. Wish I could find out what terms I violated? Anyways I wouldn’t bother using Cash App !! Venmo has been great !

Cash App has been "reviewing" a pending transaction of a person to person payment I made 15 days ago. They say it went to their security/specialty department for further review and that I would receive an email within 2 days with further instructions. That was 15 days ago. I've called 4 times and was told the same thing each time. The online virtual assistant told me that after 14 days the money would be automatically refunded back to me but that did not happen yet. I cannot speak to any team managers or department supervisors which is very frustrating. I want my $100.00 refunded back to me as soon as possible but this seems to be a scam on cashapp's end. I will report them to BBB and Consumer Finance Corp. if I dont hear back from someone soon. I will not use cashapp for further transactions and I warn others to stay away as well. 😤

Unacceptable behavior on behalf of customer support and getting my dispute resolved. Shouldn't take this long to resolve a dispute and refund me my money that was taken. Need a resolution for my dispute ASAP and my money returned to my account. Never had a bad experience with cashapp until now. Keep getting the same response from customer service chatbot.

Cashapp has been great. I was out of work for a while and they were supportive and respectful. I would recommend them to anyone! Bobby Rohrer.

Took more money out of my son’s account and won’t give it back because the account was closed. Told them closed because you took money out for a membership I don’t have. Refuses to give funds back.

If it weren’t for the people in my life who use Cash App, I would never use it. I have had two separate Cash App accounts, and I’ve experienced issues with both.
I originally created my first account so I could receive funds from a court case in which someone had been ordered to pay me. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of linking the account to my primary checking account, and it quickly became a nightmare.
I discovered I was unable to cash out, which prompted me to review my banking information. That’s when I found that my routing and account numbers had been changed to a financial institution in another state. I immediately attempted to update the information, but I was unsuccessful. I then contacted Cash App because I believed my account had been compromised.
Although customer support could clearly see that my account was linked to a bank in Ohio—even though I am an Oklahoma resident who originally signed up using the routing number for my local financial institution—they insisted the information was correct. As a result, I had to ask the sender to cancel the payment because I had no way to access or transfer the funds through Cash App.
About a year later, I opened a separate checking account specifically for Cash App and now keep very little money in it. It’s inconvenient to transfer money from my primary account whenever someone needs to borrow money from me, but I didn’t feel I had much of a choice.
I didn’t have any problems with my second Cash App account until recently. Once again, I have gone back and forth with customer support, and once again, they have been of no help. This time, I am locked out of the identity verification process. I admit that I caused the initial issue, but I immediately contacted customer support to have the verification process reset. I provided all of the requested documentation, completed every troubleshooting step they asked of me, and yet, more than a week later, I am still locked out.
No one has been able to provide a clear answer other than telling me to “wait for it to reset,” but they cannot tell me how long that will take. In the meantime, my funds remain inaccessible. They have even requested additional information, which I promptly provided, but nothing has been resolved.
Based on my experiences, I cannot recommend Cash App under any circumstances. Beyond the technical issues, I found their customer support to be ineffective, poorly trained, and unable to resolve even straightforward account problems.

Someone I'd been talking to about a piano sent a request for money. The app warned me that is looked like a scam. I put my phone down, did some research and agreed it was a scam. I picked the phone up to push cancel instead of accepting. The app had locked and when I entered my code to access the app again, it said, "Sent Successfully". I asked for a refund since it was a system error. They refused. I appealed the decision, and they still refused. This app is a SCAM in and of itself. Please avoid!
I used the link provided by Cash App on 8-4-26 to get t resolution. I was on the chat with them for about an hour. They would not own up to their system error and continue to refuse a refund. If I had made the transfer, I would have considered it my problem, but since I did not, this is fraud! They warn you of a scam and then take the money for themselves without any authorization- very shady practices. Avoid at all costs!

Zero consumer protection on payment plans for broken merchant items
I am extremely disappointed with Cash App’s complete lack of customer protection. I used their payment plan feature to purchase an item from an approved merchant. The item arrived with broken part that is welded to the body of a mobility scooter. Using it could potentially make the scooter unbalanced.
When I reached out to Cash App support for help with a dispute, they were completely useless. They refused to investigate or pause my payments, shifting 100% of the responsibility to the merchant. Their system offers zero buyer safety, even when using their official payment partners. Do not use their financing options unless you are willing to risk paying for broken garbage.

I made a mistake sending 25 dollars to a cash tag instead of venmo. The person received the money. Told me their cash app was messed up and they didn't get it. They lied to me from jump. Pocketed the money. And cash app denied my request for a refund. Even with photo correspondence where the person stated that cash app was at fault because he had not received the money on his end but he promised to repay the money several times. My experience was horrible. And my tip would be always double check because people will use any excuse to take advantage if the opportunity is presented. And cash app opened the door wide for them to do just that.
