BE AWARE…
I came across the site and entered a few draws. Two car draws were suddenly withdrawn due to lack of entries although this isn’t mentioned as one of the conditions on the advert itself.
Then I got 4 calls on Thursday evening in the space of about 15 minutes. This was when I was travelling for work on my way to catch a flight. The calls were just after 8pm UK time; the draws were advertised as ending at 12pm (so noon and 8hrs beforehand).
I won both the Air Pod Max and the £1,000 draw. Hence the 4 missed calls. No voicemail or texts were sent. I did however send messages on SMS and WhatsApp to the same number but no response received. I didn’t know who was calling in any case as no number shown on website.
Anyway rather than following their own T&Cs to award the prize to me and letting me have up to 14 days to claim they instead went ahead and awarded prizes to next numbers in line. No where is it written that you have to answer the call to claim the prize. If I had known from the start I would have exercised caution.
To make matters worse the livestream showed the camera panning in on my personal email and mobile number. A clear and blatant breach of GDPR rules which carry hefty fines!!
I play with a lot of other reputable sites and no one has ever expected me to answer any calls and yet they have been prompt in notifying me of my wins.
Update:
At the time of writing this review and emailing Cartel Comps, Miroslav from the site has since offered me a pair of Air Pods Max, prior to this review going live, which I have accepted on a without prejudice basis and has also said they have taken steps to ensure showing personal data doesn’t happen again. The value of the Air Pods more than covers my entry costs made to date on the raffle site. (Can confirm received 10th May)
