Très simple et si question en messagerie un dimanche, retour en sms dès le lundi, sinon joignable aussi au tel quand on appelle

Had issues which delayed our paperwork (cession form not signed by cotitulaire) and then postal delays. Communication was good through their online messaging service and we received our new Carte Grise within 2 days of them finalising our file. Definitely good value service.

The process of obtaining a carte grise for an imported car in France is horrendous. It's super inefficient, involves lots of papers, stamps, corrections and waiting on authorities. Mine took 7 weeks.
That said, cartegrise guided me well through the process start to finish, they've responded well to my questions and sent me regular status updates. Their manual was mostly accurate, with a minor miss regarding the Quitus Fiscal. This may have been caused by departments having different regulations and then changing them.
I recommend this service.

Just put my first order in and i am already disappointed:
You have to print out all the forms and submit them by mail !! WHAT? in today's world? have you guys heard about cloud storage?

This is very unfortunate and inefficient.
When using a dealer for the same service they scan the docs, you sign the forms and they handle everything for half the cost in most cases in under 15mn.
I will know better for next time. I will update this review as process progresses since im on the hook for 40 bucks already.

Cartegrise responded to emails within 24 hours; although there were times when I would have liked a slightly quicker response. They were always helpful and provided the information I needed. I would definitely recommend their service to others.

I used cartegrise.com for the import of a VW T5 camper van conversion into France.

During the process CarteGrise.com contacted me to say that they needed to change the vehicle type that I'd specified and that this change required an additional €2,600, which I paid.

Unfortunately the van then failed its Controle Technique, due to the vehicle type being incorrect due to their changes (the extra charge was therefore unecessary).

It is very hard to get through to cartegrise as their response time to messages on their online system is "42 hours ouvrables" i.e. over a week! Their premium rate support line is not callable from my UK or FR mobiles.

I was not called back as suggested below, but when I eventually got through to someone they were helpful and it seems believable that they will sort things out.

They do not answer my queries straight away, and usually 2 or 3 days before any response. They have been unsupportive even though I've written in the best French I have. I don't have/don't understand/can't produce the cerf 346A. It's our 8 year old 2nd hand car that's been here in France since January. Why do we need this certificate is what I've been asking them. And they sent a demand for another 300 euros for fuel pollution which they did not mention when they provided the initial pricing. nightmare company, and haven't responded to explain why!! GRRRRRRR THEY MUST
