Avoid at all costs
We instructed Cartcoders to help with the development of a Wix plugin. Initial discussions with [redacted] went well, he said all the right things about their development process and experience. However, once the project moved from [redacted] to the wider team, things quickly changed.
The team’s knowledge gaps became clear, and their proposed plan was unnecessarily complex, involving multiple additional systems that weren’t required and would have been a nightmare to maintain. When we raised these concerns, the team were defensive and standoffish.
At that point, we felt it was best to part ways before development went any further. We had already paid a £X,000 deposit (covering XXX hours of work), but were told that somehow X hours had already been used, with nothing at all to show for it. We accepted this as a lesson learned, but despite repeated requests, they refused to refund the remaining £X,000.
In our experience, I would strongly advise avoiding this company. [redacted] speaks very convincingly, but unfortunately, there was nothing to back up the promises.

The proposed solution wasn’t about adding unnecessary complexity, but about building a structure that would remain reliable and scalable over time. Cutting corners may seem easier, but it often leads to fragile systems and higher costs later.
While we respect your choice to discontinue, we stand by the integrity of our process, the transparency of our time tracking, and the professionalism of our team.
A Great Experience
A great experience. I was worried with the difference in time and location, but the CartCoders team made it very easy to work together. We emailed, had shared google sheets, and coordinated Google meets as needed. There were never delays and the team was very response to our needs. I would work with them again on future projects!
