Great support from the team at Carson birds when listing my vehicle. The sales process was seamless and the entire transaction was complete completed within two weeks.

Everything worked perfectly

Everything worked perfectly. The whole process of them verifying everything on the side of me selling, makes me confident on buying a car from CARS & BIDS.Everything went smoothly! The fact that they double-check everything on my end as I’m selling gives me peace of mind when I’m buying a car from CARS & BIDS.

Hello Cars & Bids Team,

Hello Cars & Bids Team,
Thank you for the note and for the opportunity to sell my vehicle on your platform. This was my first experience with Cars & Bids, and I did ultimately accomplish my objective of completing a successful sale.
That said, I wanted to share some feedback from a seller’s perspective. While I appreciated the visibility and reach of the platform, I found that a number of inquiries during the auction felt more like “tire-kicking” than genuine buyer interest. Several questions appeared obvious based on the listing details, did not merit a response, or were not pertinent to the vehicle itself. A few comments also seemed intended more to devalue the car than to add meaningful information for prospective buyers, which was frustrating at times.
Despite those challenges, the experience concluded on a very positive note. Meeting the eventual buyer was a pleasant, polite, and professional interaction, and the transaction itself was smooth. In the end, that made the overall experience worthwhile, even with the effort required to respond to some superfluous commentary during the auction.
I appreciate the Cars & Bids team and community and hope this feedback is helpful as you continue to refine the seller experience. I would certainly consider the platform again in the future.
Best regards,
John Dotson

Easier than a Dealership

The most straightforward selling experiences ever! Communicative, knowledgeable, & friendly staff. Surprisingly easy submission process, quick easy selling process. My trade in offer was $1100, Cars & Bids got me $4100. Better than selling on the street, easier than buying at a dealership. Would (and will) absolutely use again! 10/10.

Trust me, this is worth a read

I’ve sold a lot of cars online over the years. Fixed-price, reserve, no-reserve. eBay, the “big” auction sites, private sales, dealer trade-ins—you name it. So this review isn’t coming from a first-timer who got lucky once. It’s coming from someone who’s seen how ugly this process can get when it’s done poorly.

I chose Cars & Bids for one very specific reason: I needed to sell my daughter’s first car, a 2012 Audi A5, at **no reserve** and I wasn’t interested in rolling the dice. No-reserve auctions are fantastic when handled correctly—and brutal when they aren’t. Representation matters. Guidance matters. And support *after* the hammer drops matters even more.

From the start, Cars & Bids felt different. I was paired with Michael, a customer advocate based in Wyoming whose background is deeply automotive and whose professionalism shows immediately. This wasn’t some script-reading “support rep.” This was someone who actually understands cars, buyers, and how online auctions really work.

Michael walked me through the entire process:
• How to properly position the car
• What *actually* needs to be disclosed (and why transparency protects sellers)
• How to present maintenance history in a way buyers trust
• How to respond to questions and comments once the listing goes live
• What to expect as bidding ramps up

They even helped coordinate a professional photographer—who, for a very modest fee, produced outstanding photos that absolutely elevated the listing. The result? Real traction. Real bidders. Real market discovery.

And yes, the process takes longer than dumping a car at a dealer. But that’s the point. Dealers *love* trade-ins because that’s where the money is. In today’s world, they can’t lie to you anymore—so instead they give you a lowball number and dare you to walk. I walked. And I got **nearly three times** what a dealer offered by selling through Cars & Bids.

Here’s where Cars & Bids truly earned my loyalty.

A last-minute bidder—who, ironically, lived about 40 minutes from me—won the auction. When I spoke to him, it became painfully obvious he hadn’t bothered to read the listing. The car was in Florida. That fact was disclosed clearly and early. He claimed it wasn’t his responsibility to ship it and even suggested the listing was misleading. Absurd.

Let’s be clear: Cars & Bids moves **hundreds of vehicles a month** across every category imaginable. Nobody “misrepresented” a 2012 Audi A5. This buyer simply had no intention of following through. He didn’t care that his deposit would be forfeited or that he’d be banned for life.

I even offered to cover shipping just to keep the deal intact. He still walked. At that point, most platforms would shrug and tell you to relist—leaving your car with stigma and almost guaranteeing a lower final price the second time around.

Cars & Bids didn’t do that.

Within 24 hours, they contacted the second-highest bidder, handled the transition cleanly, and got the deal closed. No drama. No finger-pointing. No “sorry, that’s just how auctions go.” They protected the integrity of the sale and the seller.

That matters more than people realize.

If I had relisted, buyers would have asked, “Why did this come back up?” Was there an issue? Did something fall apart? The value would have suffered. Instead, the car went to a serious buyer, at a fair market price, with zero mess.

From start to finish, Cars & Bids was present, responsive, and professional. And Michael, specifically, was outstanding. Calm, knowledgeable, proactive, and genuinely invested in making sure this was a clean outcome for everyone involved.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling a car online—and especially if you’ve never done it before—don’t overthink it. Do what I did. Work with Cars & Bids. And if you’re lucky enough to get paired with Michael, you’ll understand exactly why I’m writing this review.

This is how online car auctions *should* be done.

The online car auction deliberately…

The online car auction deliberately blocked my comments and account to clarify about a couple of incorrect images about my car being auctioned back in early summer 2024. Therefore leading to many low ball offerings and negative comments about my legitimate car and this damage was spread to other reputable online car selling websites that created a very difficult time to sell it online. When I demanded them to remove all negative comments and the car sales ad from their website after the auction was over at that time, they ignored and still left my car sales ad until now even the car had been sold a few months ago. The owner of this shady online car auction also has his own Youtube channel about reviewing and selling cars. Their scamming and misleading tactics are to have their accomplices posting negative comments about cars and making low ball bids so that the cars could be sold at a very low price and they could buy them and sell back for a higher profits.

selling a car

I sold a car with them a few years ago. It went well, although they had me retake pictures many times. Now they seem to want you to use their photography services and not accept the pictures you take yourself. They will not accept pictures from my phone. I took between 100 and 200 pictures with a camera. None of them met their specifications.

Great post auction support

Proactive communication & check-ins from C&B after I won the auction gives me confidence that there will be support from C&B in case I ran into any issue

First time user

I was a little nervous about the site at first but I noticed a lot of traffic and very positive reviews. I decided to use this option because local consignment shops not only had high fees but they also would not accept ANY liability for damage to your vehicle while in their possession. This policy was absolutely a no go for me. Also I was concerned about selling myself and having to deal with tire kickers and scammers. C&B’s policies and procedures help to minimize these concerns. The auction process is seamless. The winning bidder and I choose to use Safepay by KeySavvy. This escrow service is top notch and provides all the forms you need for an easy paperwork transfer. The service is absolutely worth the cost. I’ll definitely use C&B again.
