Refrain from purchasing

I also strongly agree with the other reviews. This is a joke of a warranty and by all means do not buy it or buy car from a garage which strongly promotes it. I.e. Bill Griffin Motors in Dublin. I am 2weeks waiting for an answer , I rang every day to be told someone will ring me later that day which they never did. I paid to have my car diagnosed to tell them the problem.
Carprotect Claim team have made it extremely difficult by constantly denying it and asking for stupid formalities, diagnostics, pictures, emails, garages and so on. It's very stressful to submit a claim with Carprotect I am 3 weeks without my car now for them to say they won't pay it. Please refrain from purchasing any policy from Carprotect.ie even if dealer is mentioning as it will only bring you more trouble.

Joke of a warranty and avoid buying a car from a garage that offers this service. I had to wait a week to get an appointment for their recommended garage and it's been a week since the claim has been in and I've called in every day for an update. Before the claim I was told a decision will be made within that day, however that is not the case and after all this waiting they will probably come back and say it's been declined! The worse possible service ever. I would not recommend!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Was waiting 3 months for them to fix my car. It had to be recovered from the side of the road and brought to Kylemore garage Dublin (also avoid) anyway long story short I received my car back with 4 completely curbed alloys and damage to the walls of the tyres that had only been put onto the car when I bought it. I spent a lot of money on this car and to receive it back in this condition was totally unacceptable. Got in touch with car protect and they denied it was them and since are ignoring all of my emails. Totally unprofessional company

I had worst of the worst experience with Carprotect.ie. I would never recommend buying any warranty policy from them. It's a total scam. Usually dealer won't provide much information about policy and simply say we can reach out to them directly. It takes less than a minute to purchase Policy. However, unfortunately if you need to submit a claim, Carprotect Claim team will make it extremely difficult by constantly denying it and asking for stupid formalities, diagnostics, pictures, emails, garages and so on. It's a completely a big headache to submit a claim with Carprotect which is never going to be paid. Please refrain from purchasing any policy from Carprotect.ie even if dealer is mentioning as it will only bring you more trouble.

I am sorry to hear of your experience, our claims team work with set criteria to ensure that each claim is considered on it's own merits and that all of our customers are treated fairly, this works for 99% of our policyholders and I would appreciated being able to review your claim so that I can find out what has happened. Please contact me on complaints@carprotect.ie so that I can discuss with you further.

GOOD

I am reading the review's below in shock, All our customers get a Car / Protect / Car Simple warranty included in the purchase of the car for 1 year at Optimum Auto's in Ennis,

I have had never had a issue getting a claim paid, A genuine one, In fact I have seen this company pay up to 5000 euro for a new engine, And always cover the cost of gearbox's. If the product is sold to you by a garage and you paid a 1000 euro or more then indeed you met a salesman, This is a very simple process, Again I do and will continue to use this company in our garage.

Do not use this Company

As everyone else has pointed out, this is a really bad company and no one should ever use them. They do not pay out on claims and I had a very bad experience with them.

Carsimple = Carprotetct = waste time and money

if you don't want waste your money, I'll recommend you to read the reviews. stay away...they will always will find way to decline your claim.I just wasted 1000 in a probably worst ranked company in Trustpilot.
obs: I bought my cover under the Carsimple name...They are trying to get more costumer with a new name.but you only will find that later.

Was the worst case of loosing money

Was the worst case of loosing money. There is no warranty for our cars we are receiving on parts. Hidden way of putting terms which will reject all the claims we made. If any fails in our vehicle happen and when we approach for claim they will say it happened beacuse we didn't use the car properly..

Not recommended for anyone..

Fraud company

Do not purchase car warranty from car protect, I repeat DO NOT purchase car warranty from car protect.

They ALWAYS find a way to weasel their way out of paying for the claims which are clearly valid, asked me to pay for diagnoses once that was completed and all questions answers they requested pictures of specific issue which requires me to pay for another diagnoses as we all know mechanics don’t do anything for free.

Even after that I’ve been today the claim will not be covered due to the fact the part had not been changed within a certain time period, keep in mind the car was purchased from a dealership and mileage very low based on the transfer of ownership it is clear a replacement was not yet required.

Don’t waste your time trying to even claim they just cost you extra money, the comps deserves to be shutdown

COMPANY JUST STEAL CUSTOMERS' MONEY

I bought my car in October 2022 and the garage offered me Car Protect services as a guarantee, which was the worst choice I ever made. I had numerous problems with the car and up to 3 months after the purchase the garage supported me, but after that period the garage informed me that I would have to look for Car Protect, a company that only takes money from the customer and that it is useless.

My car has a suspension problem, which is covered by the company, this information is in the contract. However, the company makes numerous baseless excuses stating that it is not responsible for covering the parties.

The garage that Car Protect indicated has already attested to the company that my car has a problem with the front suspension and the company claims that it cannot pay for two parts that are part of the suspension, however, in the contract there is no information or specification that these parts are not covered by the company, Car Protect states in the contract that it covers the suspension and if these parts are part of the suspension system then it goes without saying that they should be covered.

Their attendant sent me a contract clause saying that the company only covers the customer when the car breaks down or stops working, which is extremely ridiculous. The suspension is not a part that simply breaks, it will malfunction (which is happening now) and can cause damage to other parts of the car such as the steering. And even with the garage's statement that the car has a problem, they are creating reasons for not making the payment.

The attendant who was very rude, with no empathy whatsoever, completely useless in the process, sent an email from the claims department and said that any complaints I made should be sent to this email and that I shouldn't email him anymore. I emailed the claims department and two days later I still have no response. In short, this company only makes contracts to take the customer's money, this company should be investigated and have its activities suspended by the justice of Ireland.

Mariusz update II

A week after visiting the workshop where I was sent back by CarProtect.ie there was no response. I called the workshop where I was inspecting the car for CarProtect and found out that there was no response. I called CarProtect and was told the engineers needed more photos and video for consideration. This already seems to be some kind of racist treatment, since January 10 they can't fix the car.,? I am contacting an attorney.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Like everyone else on here my experience with this so called warranty company are a complete joke, I took out a premium warranty as advised from the Car dealership I bought from and was told if I had any issues it would be covered. I went ahead and paid this crowd 500 euro for a premium warranty and when I had trouble with my car the part Air flow sensor wasn't covered, I wasn't happy with the garage they sent me too so I got a second opinion and low and behold its not that part that's gone its actually a pipe leading into it that's cracked the Inlet manifold that part is covered in a premium warranty so I rang them back and told Car protect this they were all apologies sent me a mail for the garage to send on all details and costs of the repair only to then turn around and say a couple of days later that that part is Normal wear and tear on a car for the mileage there is 170000km on the clock seriously like. I ended up with a bill of nearly 800 euro the 500 euro I gave this crowd would have gone a long way to fixing my car. I asked them to send me on a detailed report as to why they wouldn't fix my car as im going to seek legal advice and still havent received anything from them to date. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
