One of the worst companies I have ever encountered. They cancel my reservation without any reason, and the customer service is uncooperative and they do not solve problems. I do not advise anyone to deal with them.

UPDATE - after several complaints and informing I would take legal action otherwise, CarNet refunded the amount incorrectly charged. I would still be mindful of booking again given the experience.
Original review below:
Customers Beware: I was charged more than 400 PLN 1 month after returning the car for "dirty upholstery" and "dirty car", despite the fact that I washed the car the day before return (which I knew I had to do upon reading other reviews) and I ALSO INFORMED THE ATTENDANT OF THE STAIN IN THE UPHOLSTERY AT PICKUP, to which she confirmed it was noted and I should not worry about it.
I am trying to get a resolution through the complaints team at CarNet and will update this review once I have a response.
I recommend everyone to stay away from CarNet if you don't want trouble.

Horrible customer service. Just trying to return the car I was held in a waiting loop for an hour after they had not called me back as promised within two hours. I am still waiting….don’t go there unless you really, really have to (in my case I received a replacement car from them through my insurance).

Rent a car in Wroclaw, Tarzynski Arena. I was captivated by the cheap price and favorable location of the pick-up point.
This is a scam and the worst rental company I have ever dealt with.
We arrived at the reserved time and spent half an hour trying to get through to the office. In the end, we were lucky that other arena workers guided us through their passes.
After that, they could not find our reservation and car keys for a long time
Upon inspection, the car turned out to be very dirty
As a result, we lost about an hour while picking up the car.
During the rental process, I received strange SMS messages stating that the car would be blocked if payment was not made immediately. Although we paid for everything
When reserving the car, we indicated that we were going to travel outside Poland. Additional insurance was purchased
When receiving the car, I duplicated this information to the girl who gave out the car.
When returning the car, we were given a fine of 1000 zlotys + 255 zlotys for the option. (Although according to the contract this option costs 150 zlotys)
A month of correspondence with technical support yielded nothing. They won't even read your messages. Wait 2 weeks and receive a standard unsubscribe
Renting with this company was a huge mistake.

UPDATE:
After several months, they sent me an email asking for another 2000 PZL payment...
This company is total BS...
Stay away!!

DONT USE CARNET.
They charged me 2000 PZL (same amount of deposit) without any reasonable explanation. After charging 2000 PZL, they added some more complains and attempted to charge even more.
I see from the other reviews that many other people experienced the same scam.
Here is what happened in my case.
I rented a car from Carnet in Krakow during my trip with my Polish partner.
From the beginning, it was already kind of sketchy. In the carnet office in krakow, I was asked to show my driver’s license, so I did. This guy in the office seemed to be a nice guy. Then after looking at my Swiss license, he told us that maybe it’s better to use my partner’s Polish license, for some reason. Looking back, it could have been a warning from him that there is a chance that the company might take advantage of me (a tourist from Switzerland). Since my partner didn’t have her license with her, we went ahead and rented a car using my Swiss license. Here, I paid 2000 PZL deposit. Interestingly, this is exactly the same amount of money they charged me after I returned the car.
We rented a car for two days. Our plan was to drop off the car at Carnet in Zielona Goła (~4 hrs away from Kraków).
On the day of returning the car, we figured we won’t be able to make it to Zielona Goła by the time they close the office. So my Polish partner called them and suggested to extend the rent by one day and return the car in the next day, such that we can go through a proper return process, like making sure there is no damage, etc. However, they told us that it’s ok to leave the car at a parking lot by their office and the building security guy will pick it up. We were like, ok…. Sure. So we returned the car, of course without damages and filled gas.
After about two weeks, I saw 2000 PZL charge by Carnet on my bank account.
Note that, in Poland, typically rental car companies reserve the right to charge from the deposit for a period of 14 days after the end of rental period.
Thus, interestingly, they charged me right before they lose the right to charge from the deposit, and they charged exactly the same amount of the deposit.
They sent me a document showing list of things that they needed to fix plus some labor costs, etc. And magically, its summation is 2000 PZL.
After a few days, they probably thought they could take advantage of this tourist from Switzerland even more, and they actually charged ~100 more PZL.
At this point, as the reader can imagine, it was total BS.
I asked them to send me evidence by email, and in their response, their attitude was quite rude and aggressive saying, we have no obligation to send photos. After many iterations, they probably fed up with me and finally sent me two low resolution photos from which it’s impossible to see any evidence of damages.
My partner even went to their office in Zielona Goła and asked them to show evidence. Then they basically hide their computer screen and told her that, sorry I’m just a worker so I have no idea, etc. Very unprofessional.
Given that it was my first visit to Poland and really enjoyed the beautiful nature, foods, people, culture, history, etc., it’s a shame that this company ruined the beautiful trip at the end.
I strongly suggest everyone, especially tourists, stay away from this company. There are reasons why this company offers more affordable pricing compared to other more well-known trustworthy car rental companies.

The company never delivered the car to the hotel, the hotel reception called the rental company and they said the only car available was broken! When asking the money back, they lied that no phonecalls were made, and no problems with the car. Eastern post socialist scam. No car, and lies!
I rented a car in Szczecin - ul. Południowa. The car was new and comfortable, the service team is friendly, helpful and professional.
Thank you!

Do not use these people
They seem cheap
But when you turn up they give you a third rate car that you didn’t ask for
Then when you return the car they charge you gbp 17.70 to wash it!
The roads in Poland in the winter are inherently muddy
I have never faced a charge for cleaning before from a rental company
Absolute rip off

I was on the way to Poland to bring my father back to England for my sister funeral. As that was last minute booking I needed to rent a car to get to my father house as the airport was really far. When I was on the plane CarNet has left me voicemail that my booking was cancelled. When I get to the CarNet desk the gay sitting there for my question what I should do now, with stupid smile on his face said that is not his problem. Really unprofessional! Please do not book a car with them if you want to get home !

Incompetent staff, avoid wasting your time with this company. Before booking, I sent an example of a driver's license similar to mine, and they assured me that they accept this type of document. However, when I arrived to pick up a car, they refused to give it to me, citing that a Ukrainian driver’s license is invalid in Poland if I live here for more than 6 months. My driver's license has not expired yet, and I presented the law indicating that all Ukrainian licenses are valid until at least the end of 2023 (which exceeds the rental period), but the employee remained indifferent.
Follow the laws of your country, specifically: "Art. 14. [Ważność na terytorium RP prawa jazdy wydanego przez organy administracji Ukrainy]".
I went to another rental company, and they provided me with a car in 10 minutes without any questions.
Very bad experience, I waited 1 month for the return of the deposit, they told me that they transferred the money instead of blocking it by mistake, but after 1 month they told me that the disk on one of the tires has a scratch and because of that they will not return the 700 euros.
I will never use carneti's service

Worst rental in Poland
we rented a car from them and we received a car that was dented and scratched. Of course we took a lot of pictures of all the damage the car had before we drove from the rental. now car net is trying to make us pay for the damage the car had before we took it over. So now we have to pay 6000dkk for damages we can prove we did not make!
If you want to rent a car pick any company just not this, thay are scammers big time!
This is so disgraceful!
