This is a part of scam scheme. I noticed it by the whois info and the email of contacted person.
I was contacted by a supposed buyer who showed strong interest in my vehicle and repeatedly insisted that I purchase a vehicle history report specifically from CarIntel.vin.
I offered to provide the VIN, all vehicle documents, a personal inspection and even verification through the official dealer where the vehicle was purchased and serviced. Despite this, the buyer continued to insist that I personally buy the CarIntel report and offered to reimburse me later.
When I finally made it clear that I would not purchase the report and that the sale would simply not proceed if this was a condition, communication stopped.
I cannot prove that the buyer and the website are connected, but the whole situation felt very suspicious to me. I would advise sellers to be cautious when a potential buyer insists that you purchase a report from one specific website.
