Cariloha!!No good deed goes unpunished!!

No good deed goes unpunished!!

For the holidays, I wanted to give my family some “nice sheets” so I spent a good amount of money on Cariloha.com.. after a few days the items arrived. I was curious bc I read/heard a lot about their sheets..

After opening the package and I understand that not all materials are to my liking, I did what any of us would do when we don’t like the item..we return it and ask for refund.

I called cariloha and inquired how I can send some of the items back.. I was Informed that I need to fill out the return form then print it and send the items back.. so I filled out the form, printed it and then taped the return label on the box. I took the item to UPS. There I discovered that the company DOES NOT cover returns. It costs me over a 100$ for the returns in addition to another 100 they will charge me for restocking.

This is definitely the last time I’m buying from them. They have no scruples.. 2022 and I need to pay over 200$ to return ur stuff that does pass mustard. Seriously!! Cariloha is a ripoff.. DO NOT waste your time and money with them.

Quality is poor
Returns are horrible
Customer service is unhelpful.

Misleading product size info: beware

Bought the weighted bamboo blanket for a whopping $250 (which I thought was worth it) until it arrived and it's clearly not a Queen size, but falls short by a foot on either side. I told customer service it didn't fit and they said it's the only queen size they offer and its meant more of a throw than a full blanket. They never tell you this on their website. then I went to return it and since it's so heavy UPS wants to charge me $75! (Cariloha doesnt offer shipping costs to return items). VERY misleading. Just thought I'd warn you before you invest this money. they should really make it clear on their website so customers won't be mislead.

$28 undies that don't last 3 months!

Purchased 6 pairs of men’s boxer briefs for my husband and son in August. Received them on 8/15/22. The crotch completely ripped open on one of my husband’s pairs. We tossed. When I noticed the threadbare butt of one and then he had another split open, it was time to vent!! No place to leave a review through my purchase so emailed them. They said they offer a one year warranty, could i send pics. I did. Then I tossed those. Task taken care of. No. What they didn’t mention was that i would need to return them. Yes. The used underwear with the crotch ripped out. Frustrated beyond belief. All I wanted was to write a review on their site then they dragged me down this dead end road.

No response for weeks, still trying

Have been trying to initiate a mattress return for weeks. Got the RMA, but Cariloha will not return emails requesting help with scheduling pickup. The RMA is about to expire, and I'm at a loss for what to do once that expires and I'm stuck with a mattress that I tried to return within the guaranteed trial period.

need lessons in customer service

While the quality of the product is good, customer service lacks considerably. I really recommend buying your bamboo elsewhere. You will get it cheaper and probably get better service when something goes wrong. Not only did they refuse to refund my husband for his shirt that was too small and they do not make it larger (He is only a L by the way), when our pillows got lost in the mail, they were going to reship, but never bothered to provide me with shipping information. When I contacted them a week later about tracking the package, i was told generically to leave them alone. So I started the process again and was told that thier information showed that UPS dropped the package the previous day, when it actaully arrived the next day. Not so sure UPS can be trusted either, but this is about the lousy customer service of Cariloha. I can get quality with better service elsewhere, and certainly at a better price!

False advertisement of Lifetime Warranty for replacing sheets

I called to get my sheets replaced after one month of use they were worn and started to tear. They said they would not send me another set, even though at time of purchase we were told everything from Cariloha had a lifetime warranty. We spent alot of money at Cariloha. Regular sheets last longer then bamboo sheets' they only lasted a month. We also purchased the Cariloha mattress for $3000.00, pillows, towels, pants, shirts, socks and right down to the panties. And that will be our last purchase from Cariloha. Will not even go in the store! Spending upwards of $150 on a pair of sheets is totally ridiculous but made sense with the lifetime warranty. You can purchase sheets for $50 bucks and they will last way longer then these $150 Carilohas.

Falls short on quality

Falls short on quality; customer pays for shipping and returns. The product comes at a premium price tag (even with sales/promo codes), but when the quality isn't as expected you have to pay $10 - $15 dollars to return the item.

Buyer beware of excessive shrinkage.

I purchased the king size light green bamboo sheets. Very disappointed with them. Feel great, however they fit fine on my tempurpedic mattress twice, then the shrinkage does not allow use again. I wrote the company and no response. I even took measurement and recommended a new shrinkage allowance for them to follow, to not have this problem in the future. No reply, not a thank you, no send the product back for replacement, nothing. I am in the clothing industry for 40 years and know what I am talking about when it comes to shrinkage allowance. They apparently do not care, just get the product out the door. I would say "buyer beware". Buy this product at your own risk.

I have not read the other reviews as I…

I have not read the other reviews as I don't want to be tainted. I will just share my experience. I purchased a queen size blanket over the company's July 4th sale via their website. They said it would fit a queen size bed. Yet it was quite short of that measurement when I received it. I called, told them of the defect and they arranged a replacement. The held sending the replacement until they received back the mis-sized blanket back, which I thought was a little drastic. It took a week for the return shipment as they must have only paid for the slowest delivery cycle. It then took another week to then get the replacement. And the second blanket was the same version of the first. Queen size blankets are to measure at minimum 90x88 inches, for even a small depth mattress. They state theirs is 68x94 on the attached tag and the actual measurement was 64x88 on one and 64x94 on the other. Both were too narrow to fit the bed even with a 9 inch mattress; if you put it length-wise to compensate, you could get it to come halfway up the bed - perhaps that's why they say it is a cool sleep as your top half stays uncovered. When the second blanket was the same as the first, I told them I wanted an immediate refund and did not want to wait another week for them to receive it back with their slower choice of package pickup delivery. Perhaps you could say, they just don't sell a true standard queen size blanket, but that should be stated in the description. The real problem is that they have truly poor to actually dishonest customer service processes. I could not get a manager to speak with when I reported the second issue and was told that perhaps the refund would take 7-10 days and be only after they received the blanket back in their facility. I asked for a manager to call me back then and when nothing happened after 4 days of waiting for the call, I took to their Facebook site and left a message there as well as sending one via their online customer contact form. I finally had one call back this morning that I missed, after waiting 4 days for a manager call back, with the person not leaving a call back number! They don't want you to be able to call back! It was then impossible to reach the person - I ended up leaving a message on a voicemail that did not have any person's name associated with it when transferred from the customer service department. Not sure if this company has gone down hill, but even if their products were fantastic, I would never buy from them again. I also purchased sheets and towels along the way. The sheets come out of the dryer totally wrinkled and really don't make sleeping any cooler than a normal sheet. I won't be a repeat customer - and I will have my credit card company get my refund as Cariloha seems to stay in business best by avoiding refunds for their products.

I ordered 7 things from Cariloha online…

I ordered 7 things from Cariloha online since going into the store seemed like it was a good idea because of the Pandemic. I ended up trying to return 4 shirts to a Cariloha Store in town, they had polyester in them and it wasn't very apparent on their marketing on the website. They refused to return the items and instead printed out this RMA code which I had to pay to return ship them back to Utah. So I paid $18 unnecessarily to ship back. After shipping the items back I received an email with coupon codes, not an actual refund, It gets worse. The codes can only be used one at a time. So I had to do 4 or 5 separate orders just to use all the credit and on top of that I had to pay shipping on each individual item which almost negates the credit by a third. One shirt costs $10 to ship so I lost almost a third of the credit just to not being able to use all the coupon codes at once. This is all by design on their part to make things really hard to return and I will not be ordering anything ever again. It's a shame because I've spent a ton of money on their beds and bases and was actually going to buy their new Luxury bed model but not now, not ever. You would think that the owners would have more ethics based on the fact this is a Mormon owned company.

Cariloha not what it used to be

Cariloha is not quite what they used to be in terms of quality or customer service. The sheets I purchased -both discolored, shrunk -even after following directions. They have changed their warranty from a lifetime warranty to a 1 year. They refuse to even honor that. When I contacted them to back their warranty-they would not. Then I wrote reviews on them and let them know this is because they did not back their warranty and they tried to state if I took down the reviews, they would send me new sheets but as a condition would have to state they don't cover discolorations and they wanted me to take down the reviews. I would have taken the reviews down if they just honored their warranty in the first place, but to take them down as a condition of receiving their sheets-not going to do that. This company, in my opinion, has gone downhill in terms of quality, customer service. Any company that sets conditions on a warranty they should have honored in the first place, does not deserve my business. Their stores are in major tourist areas and people should be warned that Cariloha is not what they used to be. You might be wise to save your money on these products and bypass their store. They have also started to mass market and have these in stores like Costco, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc. That may be why the quality level, in my opinion, is not what it used to be.I used to be a loyal customer, but if that is how they treat loyal customers, I hate to see how they treat the causal customer.
