I did not like they started calling me like sales people and asking me why am I not using the services of careem why should I answer to that? I will if I wish to and I won't use if I don't wish to I am not liable to answer anyone.
Poor Customer services and food delivery too late. Food is mostly cold and no chat options with Careem and when we complaint they dont give any resolution . Waste of money and time
Food was supposed to take 1 hour tops but it took 2 hours and 30 minutes to arrive to me. I first called Careem after 1h of delay and they told me the food was already prepared by the restaurant and they were just waiting for the driver. I called again after 20 minutes and driver still did not leave the location. Once driver finally left, he was wondering around going back and forth the roads - I have screenshots. It took him 38 minutes to get to me when the normal time is 20 minutes.
When I finally received the food, it was completely cold and disgusting. For an hour and 30 minutes the food had been prepared by the time I received it. Completely disrespectful of the restaurant, driver and Careem.
I had already informed Careem I would not accept cold and not fresh food, if I wanted that I would not spend money on fresh food delivery.
On top of all this, all this delay made me late for a medical appointment.
I told Careem I would not consume food that had been prepared 1h30min prior to arriving to me and told them they could come pick up the food. I requested immediate refund and was denied.
Complete absurd and the worst customer experience I've had with all the delivery apps.

I booked a ride from the airport to Al Furjan on 1st April through your app. We generated the PIN and gave it to the driver, but later I found out the driver cancelled the trip and took us privately.
Now when I raise a complaint, your team keeps asking for trip details and driver name — how am I supposed to have that when the ride was cancelled from your system?
It’s been weeks and all I hear is “we are looking into it,” while different agents keep asking the same questions again and again instead of actually resolving the issue.
This is a serious safety concern. If drivers can cancel rides and operate privately without any record, how can customers trust your service?
I was also charged AED 200 for a non-peak ride.
Please take responsibility and resolve this instead of delaying.

Very bad experience sending money to india. It took careem 5 days to investigate the failed transfer and 5 days to refund. Very poor support.

This company perform credit card frauds on every system you want to use it!!! E-bikes and taxi's they charge 40AED more than what is given on the maximum price. Then afterwards they still charge your credit card when you do t even request any service !!!! Scam!!!!

I used Careem Pay to transfer funds abroad. They offer a 24-hour rate lock while you add their account as a beneficiary and transfer funds locally. This was not my first transaction, so I followed the same process as before.
Once I transferred the amount, there was no update from their side at all. My bank confirmed the funds were successfully debited with no issues or holds.
That’s when the problem started.
Multiple calls and in-app messages were met with scripted responses and no actual resolution. There was no clarity, no ownership, and no effort to process the transaction.
Meanwhile, the exchange rate had dropped significantly during this time.
After the 24-hour window passed, they cancelled the transaction, and when I followed up for a refund, they started asking for multiple details — referring to it as a “mistaken transfer” and positioning themselves as if they were helping me recover the amount.
The whole experience shows delays, poor support, and complete lack of accountability. For a financial service handling large transactions, this is unacceptable.
Would not trust them again for any serious transfer.

I made a grocery order and captain(Aamir)contacted me while starting the trip. As I was waiting for delivery he has cancelled the delivery stating the road is closed, surprisingly I received confirmation on order delivery.
The customer care contacted and asked me to reach the store and collect the order and i reached the store and found all roads are open and accessible but carreem wants to charge delivery cost for store pick up from customer. Once I visit the store surprising order was cancelled and refund initiated.
Now I cannot get the order in store and initiating the refund to bank will take 7 days.🤔🫡
Please provide zero star option.

Serious issue with driver misconduct. The driver confirmed the payment verbally, I paid in cash, but later he denied the amount and behaved unprofessionally by hanging up calls. Careem did not properly investigate and only trusted the driver. This is not just about money, but about trust and possible fraud. Very disappointing experience.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Careem rides, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking.
The main issue was with fare calculation, which was completely inconsistent and confusing. After completing my ride, I received five different fare amounts via email, all for the same trip. This clearly reflects a lack of transparency and reliability in their pricing system.
What made things worse was the customer support. It took more than two weeks of continuous follow-ups just to get a response, and even then, the issue was not resolved. In the end, they simply said they could not help.
To make matters worse, their explanation made no sense. They said the fare shown before the ride is just the “minimum.” In my case, the final fare was the same as the initial estimate—but that’s exactly the problem. There were no tolls, no traffic, and no delays, and I even took a different (more efficient) route. Logically, the fare should have been lower, not the same. Their reasoning was vague, unconvincing, and felt like a standard template response rather than a genuine attempt to resolve the issue.
Overall, this experience reflects poor fare logic, lack of accountability, and ineffective customer service. I have completely lost trust in their pricing system.
Avoid booking rides here if you expect fair pricing and responsive support.

I waited for 2 hours for my order, I ordered at 9 AM and at 11 AM I called Careem helpline asking what happened about my order, they said let me check with the captain, and then kept me on hold for quite a while and returned with the information that they can’t reach the captain and have to cancel my order after 2 hours of waiting, later I got a call saying that we would like to offer you 10 aed as compensation for your troubles, when I ordered breakfast and they couldn’t even deliver it till lunch and still they had the audacity to tell me that please order again from Careem. I would never recommend Careem for food, it’s the worst experience I had when I was busy working and hoping to have a good breakfast they made me wait for 2 hours and at the end cancelled the order.

Avoid this company like the plague! I rented the car in Dubai on Careem (they use Swapp who are also rubbish) for 1 month which I paid 2339 AED ($636 USD) FULL. With that was a 200 AED discount for the first month rental.
After just one week with the car, a drone from Iran hit the residential building opposite my apartment, another hit the ground and several others flew overhead very low followed by fighter jets, I decided to urgently leave the apartment and made arrangements for SWAPP to collect the car with the building security, leaving the keys available to them.
I drove a total of 12km because the GPS was jammed so I could not get around. I did contact them to see if they'd do the responsible thing and offer even a partial refund, but the first thing they did was cite their terms. I don't care one bit about their terms but whatever that's what they did.
Next thing I was not expecting. Because they took the car back early, even though they are not giving me any form of refund, they want to charge me 200 AED ($54 USD) to remove the discount because I did not keep the car for the whole month!
They never said that when I arranged for them to collect the car. It could have been left in the basement of the building in the secure parking where I left it until the whole month was over. Instead I gave them a car back that they can rent again despite me having paid for another 3 weeks!
I did one trip in this car to a local mall, that one trip cost me 2339 AED ($636 USD).
Now I've told them to return the car to the basement and leave it there until the rental contact ends and then they won't need to charge me the 200 AED ($54 USD). Absolutely rubbish company.
In the time of crisis you cannot even rely on them, let alone under normal circumstances!
SWAPP use Thrift car rentals - you might as well go direct to Thrift its about the same price anyway!

Had very bad experience with ordering from them specially their groceries and their food app. They gave me fresh chicken with deliberately erase the production date by hand. This is highly unacceptable as I’ve been living here in the UAE for 45 years. It’s the first time I’m experiencing such a bad experience.
