Absolutely 100% terrible company

Absolutely 100% terrible company, thanks to this company my elderly dad has to go into a home. The people that works for them making lie after lie telling their bosses that my dad was being aggressive towards them, when viewing the footage back on the camera that me an my family set up there was no aggression what so ever . I would stay 1000 miles away from this company very very unpleasant an unprofessional

WORST MANAGEMENT EVER!

My concerns with Care Cymru are not centred on the individual carers, many of whom do their best under difficult circumstances, but rather on the clear lack of effective leadership, planning, and oversight from senior management.

The service appears to be poorly organised, with care schedules that do not reflect the needs of a highly dependent, immobile individual. My nan is typically assisted out of bed around 10:00–10:30am, given breakfast, then seen again at 12:00pm for lunch, 3:00pm for dinner, and finally put to bed between 6:00–7:00pm — after which she is left until the following morning at around 10:00–10:30am. For someone who cannot move independently, use the toilet, or access food or drink without assistance, this kind of planning is completely inadequate and raises serious concerns around safeguarding, dignity, and basic care standards.

There is also a lack of consistency and structure in visit times, with calls sometimes brought forward without notice. This suggests a system designed around staff convenience rather than the needs of the individual receiving care. Proper care planning and adherence to agreed schedules are fundamental expectations, yet these do not appear to be met.

In addition, Occupational Therapy (OT) visits have been arranged without informing the family or providing any updates. For a service responsible for coordinating care, failing to communicate about external professional involvement is unacceptable and reflects very poor management and a lack of transparency.

Most concerning of all is the failure of senior management to engage with concerns. Attempts to make contact via phone and email are routinely ignored, leaving families without support, answers, or reassurance when serious issues are raised. This lack of communication and accountability demonstrates a disregard for both clients and their families.

Overall, this is a clear failure of leadership and management. A care provider should ensure robust care planning, clear and consistent communication, and adherence to key care standards and policies. In this case, those responsibilities are not being met.

Don't choose these if you truly want care for your loved one.

I was told off, fed mouldy butter despite having a brand new pack ready to use, and gone off milk. The only food they could 'cook' was beans tinned spaghetti on toast or scrambled eggs in a mug. Which i quickly went off due to the hutter and milk botb being used in them. . I had rows for asking one pair to do something trivial, and i got told off becaue they weere running late. I was bedbound. I wasn't late! My calls were around 10 mins til i found out they were meant to be a half hour! Refused to be liable for checking dates on foods even though I was upstairs and couldn't walk so they were in charge of my food. Gave local council unfettered access to my property without ever discussing it with me nor why they were talking with the council without my being informed. One carer appointed herself my primary carer! And the council were ringing HER to discuss my affairs!!!
Jade, her name was. I was dumped without notice, on a Friday, and no idea until they just didnt show up. Mybsocial worker subsequently rang the desk and spoke to some horrid young girl who ended up hanging up 3 times on both myself AND the social worker who GETS them the contracts!!! Disgusting. I was 7 st9nw when they started. When they finished I was 5 stone 2. Carers are lovely enough but they are barely qualified to care for people. Tried putting a 0lastic bag in an airfryer while Im sat there telling her how to cook fr9zen chips. I wanted a change from cold toast, gone off milk and butter.

Poor service

Carers all seem to be lovely. You can tell they are rushed off their feet. My Mother's call is supposedly around 8. This was discussed with her social worker when council care was transferred to Care Cymru. They usually get around to her at 11am. Sometimes give her the packed lunch prepared at same time. This seems to be a management issue, no project management in place. Pretty poor tbh. Think management needs to look at the safeguarding that is put in place.
