I started University at 77 years of age and have just passed my degree 5 years later, a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Criminal Justice. I must thank Capstone Editing for the good marks I received from their remarkable team for cleaning up a lot of my poor grammar. Thank you to the team for this wonderful service. John

Fantastic service for thesis editing. I didn't have enough funds to cover a full thesis review, so Capstone were able to review a number of chapters that I submitted in one document. Capstone were great to contact, they answered all my queries promptly and helped with setting up purchase orders/invoices for my university. When I submitted the partial thesis with references (but couldn't afford for this part of editing) they immediately contacted me to confirm what editing services were required, which were adhered to.

The editing I received was fantastic, everything was in line with APA guidelines, and they integrated my specific comments or terminology requirements throughout the document. I will be using them in future for editing. They also provided instructions on how to acknowledge the editing service in my final thesis submission. Thank you so much.

I paid about $1500 to get my thesis proof read and for them to include the published pdf articles in my thesis. The pdf articles were saved as an image then pasted onto a word document page which made them really small and blurry. I replied that I could not submit my thesis like this and heard no response so I had to redo it all in adobe. I do not recommend this service from them. Also, they did not do a thorough job. The feedback from a reviewer was the English in the intro was not very good - this is why I sent it to an editor. The other reviewer left commends of all the errors the editor missed. I feel like this was a big waste of money - just get a friend to read it for the same effect.

The worse ever experience. Miscommunication, expensive and did not receive a 'substantial' editing as declared in the service I paid for. Not reliable at all. Tried twice to explain that what I got has nothing to do with what I asked and waiting to receive. Not recommended at all.

I do not recommend this service: unprofessional customer service and expensive for a normal quality. I had two unpleasant experiences with this company. The main issue with both instances were lack of communication and response from the team. The first time, I reached out to their service for proofreading a research proposal. Before sending them the proposal, I advised them of the deadline for my work and paid extra to get my work done as early as possible. The editor’s work was reasonable, however, there were still errors in the text. I emailed them and phoned them to ask the editor to review my comments and get back to me asap, but they replied too late (after the deadline) and said they were so busy and I should have given them enough time!!!
Blaming myself for the first experience, I decided to trust them one more time. The experience was even worse than the first time. The second time I sent them my article for editing. The proofreading was of normal quality and there were errors in the text. Again, they were aware of the deadline. I sent them emails and they did not respond. I called their office. A lady answered the phone. I was telling the lady who took my call about the issue and she kept interrupting me by saying something like “don’t you want us to review the issue? Hang up so I can contact the reviewer to see id they have time to look at the issues” and she hung up on me. While I found it very unprofessional, I patiently waited for their reply and they never got back to me. The week after I sent them an email and advised them that I had already submitted my work and no longer requires the editor to look at my comments. Again, they never replied. I paid them around $900 and I do regret using the service. Overall, unprofessional, unreliable and pricey service.

I have been a loyal customer of Capstone Editing since they edited my PhD thesis two years ago. They are very attentive in following journal guidelines and free me from time-consuming tasks such as checking references. The price is a bit higher than average but I find it acceptable considering they can always deliver on time with high quality.

Copy editing amateurish. Gratuitous and pointless wording changes that often as not derailed or distorted the meaning of the text. Showed weak understanding of punctuation, compulsively sprinkling commas throughout the document with no regard to meaning. This person loved semicolons, but hated the word "and" and was clueless about the use of colons. Had a pathological fondness for the word "however," while doing everything possible to avoid the use of "but". Was also allergic to the use of gerunds, preferring lengthier and cumbersome alternatives. Given the number of (pointless) interventions and changes, I suspect this editor was being paid by the hour, or perhaps on a piecework basis. Finally, asked for clarification of plain and transparent passages... The amount of time required to undo the damage was something *I* should have been paid for!

The worst experience ever!
To all international students, I warn you from dealing with this company. Particularly, their "heavy editing". The problem is not only that you will pay twice the normal price, but you will also waste your time and you will need another editor to finish their work!
As an international student, I do not recommend them to anyone at all!
trust me guys, I am just like you , I read the feedback that they wrote for themselves on their website, so I thought that this is the right place! unfortunately, when I received my document back, I felt that I lost my money and my time, which is more important.
Another important point is that you will never know the academic background of the person who edited your document because they do not tell you his or her name, the reason for which it would be much better if you just go and find a real editor that you can check his or her academic background and make a deal with him or her directly. That's not only better for you but also much much cheaper!
