Scammers!!

Scammers!!! Paid my debt off and they told me I still owed the whole amount! After trying to contact them us g their contact number multiple times and not getting through I thought it was done with. Then I start getting more letters. Do not trust this company!!!

What an absolute shower of poo this…

What an absolute shower of poo this company is. Iam trying to sort a debt that I have somehow ended up with. I get a email from them saying please call the office. I try calling them 12 times in 2 days and end up on hold for 30-45 minutes each time waiting for an agent to answer. But all I get is cut off. They strike me as a cowboy bully company that I can’t believe dvla is using.

Harrassment

"Dear John Street. Please call Capital Resolve on 01386 258440 regarding an outstanding penalty fine due to DVLA. Case number DV1232624. Alternatively, you can view our letter to you at www .cr-portal. com/account/signin"

I have received multiple text messages addressed to “John Street” regarding an alleged outstanding DVLA penalty fine, asking me to contact Capital Resolve. I do not know anyone by that name and I do not have any outstanding payments due to the DVLA.

The repeated messages are now becoming excessive and feel close to harassment. It is also concerning to receive unsolicited texts of this nature without any prior verification or attempt to contact the correct person. Messages like this can appear highly suspicious and potentially resemble phishing, which may cause unnecessary distress, particularly for vulnerable individuals or those with anxiety.

Predatory scam

My name is Ben, I dont know a Claire Welsh nor do I drive. Pretty dodgy of them to just send out a text like that without trying to call first. Feels like a phishing scam, receiving a message like that out of the blue can be pretty harmful and distressing to people with anxiety/vulnerable people. It feels like they don't care how they affect others as long as they can get some money.

Which one: scam or bully?



Awful company and awful service. I received a letter in the post telling me I owed OVO energy £76 and threats that it will affect my credit score if I didn’t pay. I don’t even have/ never had an account with OVO Energy.

The only thing I could think of was my old flat, since OVO supplied us there, but our bill (and OVO Account) were solely in my ex-flat mate’s name (who was in charge of our energy bill at the time). She never received a similar letter from Capital Resolve, but showed me our old OVO account which still confirms that we had settled our final bill.

My current flat doesn’t use energy provided by OVO nor did I have any other previous ones that did. I tried to contact OVO Energy separately but returned with nothing AS I DON’T HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM.

Capital Resolve’s phone number is completely obsolete, solely stating various emails to write to before cutting itself off. No chance at talking to a real person.

I wrote an email to their dispute inbox and haven’t heard back. Saw you could also raise a dispute if you created an account with them, so I tried. It asks for your case number and surname, and once entered, tells you due to data handling they can’t process creating an account, and refer you to call their obsolete phone number - how convenient.

Absolutely brain dead service and I find it disgusting how intentionally difficult they make it to contact them, cornering people to make a payment when they feel pressured about the potential threats to their credit history. One bully of a service.

Rang to confirm why did I get this email and only were answering my questions with more question to try to obtain more information from me.

The final answer they had was, probably was an error and got the penalty from another person with the same name, I not English and I have 1 name and 2 surnames. The chances of that to be possible in England are bellow 0.

I tried calling them back, i used there contact e mail. Neither did they answer the call, and the e mail address they supplied gets bounced back from mail demon, there practices are not ethical and probably illegal. they need investigating

Constant harassment from these people…

Constant harassment from these people looking for a completely different person. I have told them twice now to remove my number from their file and yet I'm still receiving texts and calls. Unbelievable incompetence from this company.

Harassment and scamming

SCAM - they have been harassing me with calls and texts regarding a dental debt for a man who I have never heard of.
I keep deleting and blocking these numbers but everyday, its a new one!

Do due diligence first

Got sent an email stating it was from this company on behalf of DVLA and for non payment of tax - spoke to DVLA and they said to ignore it, particularly as I haven’t had a car registered to me in last 24 months and always taxed car on time for past 2 decades. Please do due diligence before clicking on the links from the emails sent - reported it to the government phishing email as well.

Scam company

Scam company. Do not waste your time trying to contact them and just ignore. Got an email yesterday regarding a klarna payment I do not owe. This is not the first scam company that has tried this with me. They sound legit but they're actually not. Do not pay them anything and just block them. The first scamming company was AJJB Law. All scam companies.

Appaling cowboys in breach of Ofcom regs.

Appaling cowboys: they call you and whichere option you select, you then get hours of mindless music. They are in breach of Ofcom regulations on 'silent' calling.

Received an email stating I owe money…

Received an email stating I owe money for an untaxed vehicle to DVLA. This is not the case. My vehicle has been taxed since ownership. The email has 0 information in regards to what vehicle this bill should be towards. Only a case number and reference number. Tried to call and get no answer

Chasing non-existant debts

Received my first of what I'm sure is many emails claiming I owe Vodafone UK money.

1. I DONT have any dealings with Vodafone
2. I no longer live in the UK and haven't for a while now so I can't even open a Vodafone account in the country I'm currently living in because Vodafone doesn't operate there.

Harassment

Keeps harassing me with text messages that I owe monies for my KLARNA account. KLARNA has confirmed this is not them and to ignore however you cannot get through to anyone at this business to dispute. I have zero debts or outstanding payments. They are causing people unnecessary stress!

These idiots have been harassing me for…

These idiots have been harassing me for two years and have sent me correspondence of another business (a data breach).
A very dodgy outfit with a pattern of sending automated messages asking to call them. I have saved almost one hundred.
Put it in writing!
