Local gin distillery

My wife and I took a tour of the distillery recently, fantastic experience, Fiona is an expert in her field and also very friendly and helpful answering all and any questions we had about the distillery and the gin making process. Very worth while, a must if you are in the area and I love their gin.

CAORUNN’s HOUSE OF GIN GENIUS EVENT

Thoroughly enjoyable evening, which was well staffed, and gave a brilliant introduction to three of Caorunn’s gins. Excellent value for money, too, given the complimentary goblet to take away. Not entirely sure which element constituted the "Cocktail Masterclass": upstairs was a lovely intro to Caorunn's two flavoured gins, served with Indian Tonic Water, and spritzed with one of two infusions – according to chosen gin flavour; downstairs, a delicious mixture – what I would call a cocktail – was served, but without any real instruction on how to mix it. The instant photo booth served as a lovely memento of the occasion – and fitted beautifully with the beginning of my younger daughter's birthday celebrations! All in all: a brilliant hour of Caorunn cordiality and hospitality: slàinte!

A Cracking Experience!

Absolutely fabulous tour around the Balmenach Distillery, with a nosing/tasting experience for Caorunn Gin!

Chewing on apples that have been infused with 96% alcohol was something else! 🤪🤪🤪

A special shout out to our guide Aleta, who was on top of her game and her knowledge is second to none. One of the best tours I’ve been on yet, and I’ve been on a fair few.

I now know what 'Walking the Dog' means, every day is a school day.

Having purchased two of the five styles of Caorunn, I completed the collection with the remaining three. My favourite is the Highland Strength, with the Blood Orange a very close second.

I rate this tour as Five Stars! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
