It’s very difficult to use Canvas
It’s very difficult to use Canvas. They have problems taking the EFT drafts and the customer service is difficult to deal with. They’re very argumentative and sometimes rude. It’s unfortunate that their rates are good but I guess that’s the price we’re having good rates poor Customer Service.

Easy to Apply and Fund
Easy to apply online and fund direct from my checking account. ACH web payment was received by Puritan Life within a few days and the annuity policy was issued a couple days later. Canvas Annuity website is easy to use.

However, if your total withdrawals exceed 10% in a given year, a surrender charge will apply to the excess amount. This 10% can be taken from your total account value, interest, and/or premium after the first 30 days. Please note that with all withdrawals, interest is always paid out first. Up front process better than ongoing
If feedback taken serious as stated in review responses, issues would addressed instead of recommending you write or call the same people you already have.
Over a year ago as my wife and I were accumulating many annuities for hundreds of thousands of dollars and I gave Puritan/Canvas a 5 star review. That was for having an online direct to consumer fixed annuity with a good rate and the ability to purchase through EFT/ACH direct from checking.
But now I am encountering issues with customer service related to security and withdrawals.
An identity theft issue had me inquiring about additional security such as simple 2 step verification like even a water company would have. They don't offer it or anything close.
I requested partial withdrawal and observed that they take a nonstandard amount of time. They do say 5 to 10 business days so they do advertise they are slow about it. I requested a withdrawal from Puritan and another company on January 1st. Other company's withdrawal was in the bank and available on January 3rd while Puritan's January 15th and that was fast compared to the most recent requested withdrawal my wife made.
After 10 calendar days we wrote Puritan customer service just to make sure they had the request and were just taking the full 10 days or for some reason more. 3 days later no response or sign of processing.
If you want to take $200.00 a month out of your annuity you can use EFT/ACH according to the request form but if you want to take out 5000.00 for some expense, you can only choose a check according to request form. If it took 1 day to "fix" this it would be too long.

It was a 'No Brainer' for me! :D
This is my first experience opening an annuity. I really liked that I was able to do this all on my own without having to deal with an Agent of any kind. The application process was very simple & straightforward. Very nice! The rates & terms being offered for my Future Fund were the best I found and I searched quite a bit before choosing Canvas.

Canvas Annuity - they do have the best MYGA Interest Rates. The paperwork process is very simple and you can do it online yourself.
My MYGA accounts are 1.Tax deferred. 2. Interest compounded daily.
