About Cantalici Winery

Cantalici was born in the Antica Fornace di Ridolfo, from a family business and from the love for the Chianti Classico hills, which are our home.
In 1998 we wanted to make our own products and wines (available in the online shop), and take advantage of all the experience gained over many years in which we shared sunrises with black roosters and sunsets with a bunches of grapes ready for the Chianti Classico harvest.
From March to November possibility of tastings and tours of the cellar (online reservations).

Charming and small tour
It was nice to be able to visit the wine cellars. The tasting was good and gave us the chance to taste many different wines! It could have been nice to get a small explanation in the vinegard of how the process actually works and how they are picked and to know the different maturity levels of each tree field (how to tell their approximate age)

Same Day Booking
We made a same day appointment for a tasting time. They were open on Sunday, which was how we ended up at Cantilici. Other wineries were not available that day.
The tour was good basic information.
For the tasting, we were paired with another English speaking couple. We were asked to all taste the same wines, so we needed to agree on which 2 to eliminate.
With the tasting the only food included were some crackers and pretzels.
I enjoyed our guide, Frederick.
The grounds were beautiful.
It would have been nice to have a place to sit down and sip on a glass of wine before we left, that did not seem to be an option.

Amazing all around
The food, the atmosphere, the service - absolutely everything about this place is fantastic. It was our third time visiting and we will sure to visit the next time we are in the area.
