12.25 for Christmas Sunday lunch with my husband and son waited to be seated for about 15 minutes then when we ordered food was told there would be a 30.mimute wait for the food it was slightly longer than that all our meals were cold but the accompanying vegetables were red hot my son said that they were at the end of the time they could safely be served he works in catering so he knows about that the pigs in blankets were very hard and inedible everything else cold so on this occasion bad experience we have been on many occasions and not been disappointed

Its a shame, Cannon Hall is a fantastic place to visit. The Garden Centre used to be a lovely place to have a browse and then sit down for a lovely meal at the Thyme Bistro. Unfortunately the staff really let this establishment down. Just not what they were. The personal touch is gone you certainly feel like just a number and after being such a vocal advocate and a frequent spender there I feel I have to say how let down I am. Very disappointing to find that blue badge holders pay. We had gone to visit the Yorkshire antique stone that is behind the garden centre and you still have to pay to park. Overpriced garden stoneware so went to the garden centre. You can’t use the toilet unless you purchase a drink as the loo code is on your receipt. Being disabled need I say more about going to the loo without obstacles. I felt that this is not acceptable. We did purchase two drinks and a piece of triple lemon cake to share and the cake was dry. No friendly atmosphere and more geared to making money. We did get the £1 parking off the coffee price etc but won’t be going anytime soon. Wentworth garden centre will be my go to place and the walkers at Doncaster which is fabulous. Even chatsworth house provide toilets near car parks and parking is free for disabled visitors.

They charge you to park there! paid £1 to park based on terms on the parking ticket which state "for £1 refund please present this ticket in garden centre valid only on day of purchase" we looked around for maybe 1/2 hr didnt buy anything so presented ticket at checkout for refund. Sharply told we have to spend £5 to get the £1 refund and the now rude staff werent interested in what is shown on the ticket. protested to "the Manager" on facebook messenger as of course not available instore and was called a liar saying I must have gone elsewhere and not into the garden centre - unbelievable! I sent him the photo of my ticket at 11.56 with an entry time of 11.07 so where did I go??? check your cctv if you dont believe me. Asked their name and was instantly blocked from posting any more chat messages - spineless and awful customer service. phoned up and of course not available and wouldnt give name of manager - will be reporting to trading standards
