I do have a very split opinion on the company and the bike

I do have a very split opinion on my Cangoo Buckle (old version) Let me explain:
+ pros definately the size and engine power
+ we like the handling although going fast around the corner is impossible
+generally the three wheels give stability
+ the price was comparably good to other manufactures: we paid 3332€ as a special offer at our dealer in Germany including the cover - I think that is a fair price

BUT the Cons
- poorest after sales customer service of any company I have ever dealt with: barely and slow reaction, no DIY videos if you want to repair anything, repairing the back wheel is subsequently impossible and I was told to bring it to the dealer: 90€ which I was not reimbursed.
- the displays shows the battery but is very inaccurate
- getting the battery in and out is a little bit tricky as it is under the bench within the cargo loading
- after 800km we had our first engine breakdown --> luckily we still had warranty
- now it is 1 1/2 years old and a lot of screws are missing which brings me back to the customer service which has not replied yet

Fast and vriendly service - new rain cover

I contacted Cangoo because the rain cover started falling apart after just one year of use, with zippers and stitches coming opening. Their initial response was that I needed to address the issue with the company I purchased it from. Unfortunately, that company had gone bankrupt. I informed Cangoo of this, but they advised me to find another dealer since they only handle business-to-business transactions. However, none of the dealers in my area were willing to process the warranty claim on their behalf.

After informing Cangoo of this situation, they were kind enough to send me a replacement rain cover directly.

All communication took place via email, and they consistently responded within five days. I also shared pictures of the damaged rain cover through email.

Overall, while there was some inconvenience that could have been avoided it’s understandable that Cangoo wanted to verify the legitimacy of the claim. The staff was always friendly and attentive in their responses.

I’m very satisfied with the service.

Ik heb contact opgenomen met Cangoo omdat het regenzeil na slechts een jaar gebruik begon uiteen te vallen; de ritsen en naden lieten los. Hun reactie was dat ik het probleem via het bedrijf waar ik het gekocht had moest melden, zodat de staat van het regenzeil beoordeeld kon worden. Helaas was dat bedrijf failliet. Toen ik Cangoo hiervan op de hoogte bracht, adviseerden ze me een andere dealer te vinden, aangezien zij een bedrijf-naar-bedrijf leverancier zijn. Helaas weigerden de dealers in mijn omgeving de garantieclaim te verwerken.

Na dit aan Cangoo te hebben gemeld, waren ze vriendelijk genoeg om me direct een nieuw regenzeil toe te sturen.

Alle communicatie vond plaats via e-mail, en ze reageerden consequent binnen vijf dagen. De foto’s van het beschadigde regenzeil waren ook per e-mail gestuurd.

Het was wat gedoe, maar het is begrijpelijk dat ze de legitimiteit van de claim wilden verifiëren. Het personeel was altijd vriendelijk en attent in hun reacties.

Het nieuwe zeil is veel verbeterd, met dubbele stiksels en duurzamer materiaal.

Ik ben tevreden met de service.

Don't recommend Cangoo Buckle

I started using my new Cangoo Buckle bakfiets in April 2023. Unfortunately, the rain cover turned out to be of poor quality, and the button connecting it to the structure broke. Additionally, all the screws have already rusted and the painting looks awful, despite keeping the bakfiets protected in the backyard from both sun and rain. Even the pedals are rusty. Furthermore, I’ve been experiencing issues with the gears—they make a strange sound for days after being changed. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed with this Cangoo model and regret my purchase. Just saw Cangoo launched a new Cangoo Buckle model... Maybe that's the reason mine has such a bad quality. I totally don't recommend this Cangoo. Looks like a have a very old bike but it has just one year of use.

Service very poor

Service very poor. Quality from the cover is very poor. If you buy one just take in account that you will need to buy one just after few months. And are not cheap. The zipper also break very fast. The insurance will ask you to put it inside. But the Bakfiet is just a wide enough to not pass through a standard door. A bad point in the design. But the worst is the service. It is just a joke. The seller is not responding and completing about the brand and the brand keep telling us to go with the dealer, the dealers do not want to do anything because they didn’t sell the bakfiets. Just very frustrating.

Regret the purchase of Cangoo Easy

We bought a Cangoo Easy a couple of years ago, and it’s been nothing but disastrous! We are constantly having to run to the bike shop to get the breaks fixed, the rain cover is beyond bad quality, and the “beugels” continuously jump out of their base. I feel incredibly unsafe and am now very hesitant to transport my toddler daughter in this thing. I well and truly regret making this purchase and would absolutely not recommend the Cangoo Easy to anyone!

Cangoo Downtown 2 wheel, 3 child seats

I bought a Cangoo Downtown 2 wheel, 3 child seat bike nearly 2 years ago. I was worried at buying a cheap model and hearing scare stories but it has been great value for money. I've ridden it 70+miles per week and can easily do 20+miles per day with no e-assist. The accessories it comes with are good and it is compatible with babboe baby seats etc. The kids love it.

Cool bike - great function

The downtown plus E is a great bike for a great price. The whole family enjoys now riding the bike and the excellent motor makes it also great for the "driver". Some small limitation is the front brake, which could be stronger in relation to the higher weight of the bakfiets. We have chanced (very simple job) to an hydraulic brake (~60€). Now everything is perfect!
